Not Really Home But

Silence. Dead Silence. The night had fallen and no one seemed to be around. A blonde girl walked outside on the lawn. Her feet bare and her hair full of long blonde curls. The wind blew softly as the thin arms of Kayleigh Meghan White wrapped around her crossing gracefully across her chest where her coat was keeping her as warm as possible. The chill of the wind still seemed to go through the fabric. Her skinny jeans of the colour black was not warm at all, as the wind blew through the fabric as well. Staying warm didn't seem like an option yet the light from the moonlight made up for the coldness. No it didn't make this young Slytherin girl any warmer, but it did indeed make it worth the walk outside.

That was the reason why Kayleigh Meghan was outside at all at this time. It was the moonlight. The one thing that made the young girl feel like she was back home in her small Aussie town sitting on her favourite bench enjoying the moonlight shining off everything. Making everything look like it's true self. It's real self. Yet since she had been at Hogwarts New Zealand, there had been little experiences with the moonlight. Not enough for this green eyed girl at all.

The wind continued to blow softly as the footsteps of this girl continued to walk along the lawn. Empty. Silent. Comforting. Life like this is what Kayleigh seemed to love. Used to love and in a way really did still love. The quiet life of being lonely or more to the point of being alone. Step. Step. The grass crunched slightly under her small feet with each step. The wind seemed to disappear in her mind for she had learned to tune out the cold. Tune out those she found unpleasant such as the talking of professors and the annoying snores of the girls in the dorms. Though right now all Kayleigh had to tune out was the weather. Not that difficult.

Finally the footsteps of the slytherin princess reached the top of the cliffs. A small smile crossed her lips for less than a second. Running her hand through her curls, Kayleigh sat down gracefully and carefully on the ground her green eyes closing softly. Her ears picked up the sound of the wind though her other senses tuned it out. Perfect. Well not completely perfect. Of course there could be other things that would have made it perfect. She could have been back home in a town that knew her name. No one here knew the White name. No one here really knew Kayleigh at all. She could have been sitting outside with her grandmother like they used to do when Kayleigh was young. That probably started her love for the night. Her grandmother started a lot of things in the young girl. The love for the moonlight. The love for drama. The love for those muggle television shows that no one but the older generation decided to watch. Though without her grandmother Kayleigh had not lost interest in those things. She just continued to love them. She just didn't show it to the public as much. It was almost embarassing. So actually this night out of the castle past dark in the moonlight alone was not like the old days not like Sydney. Not really home but it was close enough for this first year girl.

Logan was walking around the grounds getting used to the huge building and its grounds that seemed to never end. Logan found himself by some cliffs. He walked along the edge and looked down at the crashing water below. A strong gust of wind blew against him. He smiled widely. He was enjoying himself here and the fact that Lily was also here made it even better. As he walked he spotted a girl by the cliffs. He walked over to her as he wanted to meet as many people as he could now. As he reached her he smiled and began to talk. " Hello there. Are you ok?" Logan stopped at the side of her as he waited for her answer

Eliza Ashford was walking along the cliffs, thinking what she'll probably do during this school year. She cursed herself for being sorted in Slytherin. Her last choice of house was Slytherin, and yet she was dumped there. Ambition? Why would the Sorting Hat say that she has an ambition? She thought about it fo awhile, considering that the Sorting Hat could have seen something in her that she may never know.

Eliza was an insecure girl. She had always thought that she doesn't have any chance to be the best. And now she was stuck in the Slytherin House where everyone is trying to be the best. Competition. That's the last thing Eliza would ever want to have. She thinks what she is now is enough and being the present Eliza would be great.

She was missing her family so much. At least if she was with them, she could be just herself. She can talk freely, not bothering to think if what she was saying can offend his siblings or her parents. Because that's real family, right? They could accept her even if she was the worst.

" Hello there. Are you ok?"
Eliza heard someone. At first, she thought the person was talking to her. But then that's impossible. She didn't befriend anyone yet and they couldn't possibly be talking to someone as unnoticeable as her. She looked up and saw two figures in front of her.

"First years?" She exclaimed, still looking at the two.
