Closed Not Flying High Enough

Logan turned his head to Brynn curiously, tilting it slightly at her suggestion. "Why Hufflepuff?" He asked, as to him it sounded like the least interesting house by far. "I think you're more interesting than that." He added kindly, just in case she thought badly of herself. He shrugged. "My sister is in Slytherin, so maybe that. But Gryffindor would be good too." He said airily.

Brynn shook her head. "I like hufflepuff!" She told him, smiling gently. "I think it'll be the coziest house- I hear they have the most comfortable common room and I'd love to have that sort of space to just curl up." She sighed, thinking it was the nicest idea ever. She listened to his words, nodding. "I hear all the houses are really nice! Any of them would be good, in the end."

Logan nodded slowly as Brynn explained why she wanted Hufflepuff, but he thought it still sounded sort of boring. "I think all houses have a common room." He told her with a shrug. "My sister says the Slytherin one is kinda dark, though, so maybe you have a point." He told her. "I don't really care where I end up, as long as I can be the star player of their Quidditch team." He said boastfully.

Brynn laughed lightly. "I'm sure you'll do wonderfully," She reassured him, stepping through the crowd with practiced ease. "Is that most of what you want from your time at school? The Quidditch team?" She inquired, brushing her hair back.

Logan laughed at Brynn's words, then looked at her like she was asking a silly question, which she was. "Yeah, of course. Quidditch is the only good thing about the school, besides it being like a cool old castle I guess." He told her. "If I can't play I might as wel leave."

Brynn was a little surprised by his answer, but she tucked it away for later. "Well, we'll still be friends, quidditch or no," She pointed out to him. "And I'm sure there are so many careers related to quidditch closely that aren't just playing." She offered, falling in close to him again after ducking around some adults too busy talking to see them.
