After everything around sorting and the opening of the new year had been over and done with students slowly started to leave the hall. Abel however, wasn't planning on leaving yet, because even though he didn't mind the house he would be put in it still came as a bit of a surprise. He didn't fully see himself as a Hufflepuff, but then again he hadn't looked into the houses that much and wouldn't even know where to place himself. Besides, the hat had been sorting people for a long time so its decisions should be trusted. Perhaps he just needed some time to get used to everything, get adapted, make some friends. After all, he was going to be at the school for quite some years, so why not make the most of it?

Looking around Abel was secretly hoping to spot his sister somewhere so he could talk to her. He wanted to know how she felt, what she thinks about sorting and the house she was placed in. Slytherin. The bad thing about these houses were that they all have these stereotypes and certain reputations connected to them. It was something that caused prejudices all around and never had been much of a good thing. Realizing that he probably wasn't going to talk to his sister today the boy sat himself down on one of the benches, crossing his arms and just watching the stream of people who were now leaving the hall. Perhaps he could spot some interesting people.

Without realising that Aodhan sat down still enjoying dinner at the wrong house table after he had gone peeing, he continued to stuff his mouth with as much food as was possible before he would consider having eaten enough. As he was making himself a sandwich with every topping he could find within arm's reach because he didn't like food such as mashed potatoes or pea soup, the Gryffindor smiled at a few students while looking around hoping to spot Andi because he knew that she too was sorted into Gryffindor while some looked confusingly and others smiled back at him. When he couldn't find her and came to the conclusion that she was probably already running around the castle because more and more people were leaving the Great Hall, Aodhan returned to his sandwich which, after putting some bacon on it, was finished and ready to be eaten.

Abel was happily looking at all the people leaving the hall when someone sat down right next to him. He didn't want to spend a lot of attention to it at first, after all he wasn't the only student in this school, but he could see the kid moving a lot from the corner of his eye and he couldn't help but wonder what they were doing. Turning his head to the side he observed the boy next to him. Food. He was getting himself some food. Most students had stuffed themselves and were done with eating, but this kid seemed to still be hungry. "You alright there?" Abel asked him, slightly raising an eyebrow as he repositioned himself on the bench. To be honest he found the kid stuffing his face rather amusing, he just hoped it wasn't one of those kids that startled rambling right away and never seemed to stop.

At first Aodhan didn't seem to notice the boy next to him, as he was too invested in his sandwich, but after one bite and the awful taste of bacon, salami and liverwurst combined in his mouth, the Gryffindor looked sideways at him and shook his head whilst picking up a napkin and spitting the remains out in it. ''That was simply awful,'' Aodhan said, chuckling softly before getting rid of the bad taste in his mouth with some pumpkin juice. ''Luckily there's still some tomato soup left.'' he said as he grabbed the spoon next to his plate and started pouring some soup into his plate. While enjoying the tomato soup Aodhan's head turned to the boy besides him again. ''What did you eat?'' he asked curiously wondering if he could have some of what the boy had, too, because he was still feeling hungry.

Still a bit confused by how the other boy could still be hungry Abel shook is head after his sandwich didn't turn out to taste good. It hadn't looked good in the first place, too much on it, but he figured everyone liked different things. When the kid decided to get some soup instead the boy couldn't help but chuckle. "Dude, how are you still hungry?" He looked at him, wondering if he just hadn't eaten that much yet or if he could just eat a lot before feeling full. Once the other boy asked Abel what he had eaten he raised his shoulders. "Honestly, I ate so much I can't even remember all of it. I feel as if I'm about to explode or something." The food had been a bit overwhelming and he had wanted to try as much of it as he could, which perhaps hadn't been the best idea after all.

Aodhan shrugged whilst sipping the tomato soup. Aside from the awful sandwich he made minutes ago, the Gryffindor had eaten quite a lot since he boarded the New Zealand express, so had no clue as to why he was still feeling hungry while everyone else seemed to have enough of the food on the tables since they were all leaving the Great Hall. ''I dunno,'' he replied, some of the soup dripping from his chin. As the blonde haired boy next to him answered his question Aodhan continued to finish eating his soup, and chuckled softly at what the boy said. ''As long as you enjoyed it, it's all good, right?'' he said and pushed his now empty plate away. ''I'm Aodhan.'' the Gryffindor told the boy next to him as he was looking for something else to eat until he was full.

Abel shook his head when the other kid just kept eating. He couldn't blame him though, all the food looked delicious and if he hadn't felt like exploding he's probably still be eating as well. "Right." The boy agreed with the kid next to him, he couldn't recall the last time he had eaten something as good as the food from the feast. "I'm Abel." He told the boy who had just introduced himself as Aodhan. First thing that came to Abel's mind was the question of how his name was spelled, because there were quite a couple of ways. "So what house are you in? I'm in Hufflepuff, though I never truly orientated myself with the house so I'm still to figure out what it means. Guess it should be fine."
