Rose had checked this name three times, hoping it might change. This was not someone she wanted to speak to. Ever. But Rose was not a coward. She marched down to the dungeons, head high. She spotted who she was after easily enough. Her stomach turned, but she ignored it. "Simon." She spoke, stopping near him. Who on earth would send him a pink rose?

Simon was very much over the Valentine's festivities for now, after a very public display in the student lounge. He felt himself relax as the entrance to the common room came into view but apparently he wasn't done quite yet. He heard someone say his name with more hostility than he was used to. Simon stopped and turned to see....what was her name? Rose? It didn't matter. "Come to confess your feelings?" he asked dryly, knowing it was likely to set her off. He didn't want to talk to her.

Rose scowled and rolled her eyes. "You wish." She snapped. "For some damn reason someone likes you," she scoffed. She held up the pink rose, twirling it idly. "Against my better judgement I decided to bring this to you anyway." She raised a brow, waiting.

Simon was feeling quite pleased with himself but any sense of easy he felt left quite quickly when Rose held up a pink rose. He frowned, wondering if it was some kind of prank she was trying to pull. He had already received a rose from Juniper so this second one was a mystery. "I appreciate your sacrifice." he said sarcastically and held out his hand for her to give him the flower and note.

Rose rolled her eyes. She held out the rose, but simply dropped it on the floor. "Oops." She said dryly, before spinning and sashaying away, her head held high. She didn't like him, not at all. He was ignorant and proud and rude, and she hated him.

Dear Simon

From Knox

"Wow very mature." Simon called out dryly and rolled his eyes. With a heavy sigh he picked up the rose and looked over both his shoulders to make sure he was truly alone before opening the note. He had been expecting a message but blinked when he saw that it was almost completely empty except for a name. His breath caught when he saw Knox's name and he was grateful he was alone as he felt his face turn red and hot. The whole mess at the ball had left Simon unsure about a lot of things and this rose did not help any of that. Without another thought he shoved the note into his pocket and walked quickly the rest of the way to the common room.
