It was the holidays. Finally. There were not enough words in the English dictionary that could describe how relieved Samual Pace Kaster was that holidays were finally here. He had been worrying about his exam results seemingly forever, and he was so glad that he pulled in all O's, his hard work paid off, which meant that Lisa could not complain about him not taking school seriously, because he was taking it seriously, very seriously. People didn't become Healers or Professors, two occupations that Samual really wanted to be, because they got A's and E's all through their final years of schooling. He sighed quietly and ran his fingers through his curls. He was so grateful for the fact that is was a bright sunny day, the grass was all bright green and fresh. Samual was tempted to take off his shoes and run bare foot, but the thought of getting his feet dirty stopped him from doing that, and the fact that the grass could contain thorns from the flowers in the Hogwarts Garden. Not all the flowers had thorns, but some of them did, and he had no desire to get a thorn in his foot, because that would hurt and he'd have to hop his way back to the school. Sammy rubbed the back of his neck absentmindedly and looked around at the beauty that was the Hogwarts Garden. Lately he had been coming here, instead of the Rosebush, the Rosebush was a lovely place, with a sad history, but a beautiful meaning to it. But still, he couldn't bring himself to go there just yet, maybe after the holidays, or something he could go back there agian, but right now he was completely happy with just being in the Hogwarts Garden. Quietly, Samual plucked a yellow rose from its stem and sniffed it, Samual loved flowers, they just seemed so happy, and since it was summer, the effects of Spring were still in place, meaning that the flowers in the Hogwarts Garden were in full bloom, this place was very beautiful, every section seemed different, and he felt really happy when around all this... happy stuff. He smirked and wondered his way through the flowers.

Samual looked at the flowers playfully, he was fourteen, as everyone he knew pointed out, and he should be a little more mature and responsible than he was, but where was the fun in being 'responsible' and 'mature', besides, it was the holidays, he had worked his butt off to get good grades, and he achieved them, he deserved to play around for a bit. Things had been getting so serious laely, and he didn't like it at all, he just wanted things to be fun and spontanious again, but resent events seemed to be making this a very difficult task. He was just grateful that poor Kate was okay, and that Lola had been such fun, and that Star agreed to build a fort with him, that was really nice. These days Samual was a little cautious of who he spoke to and what he did, being mentioned in RHI had been very horrifying for the Gryffindor and he didn't want a repeat of last issue, even if it wasn't as bad as some other peoples, they were other people, Samual didn't know them or thier personalities or their way of dealing with that sort of thing. All he knew was that he was embarrassed and hurt by the article and didn't want to feel that way again. He a small, blissful sigh, he dropped the thoughts that seemed to follow him everywhere, and sat down on a little stone, rock thingy that could be considered a seat, it was smooth atleast. The sun was still bright, even though it was going to begin setting soon, there was a cool breeze, bees were buzzing around and the flowers of the castle were in full bloom, the lawn looked beautiful and it just made the smile on Samual's face brighter and happier as he sat quietly on his rock, just watching. Even though he was already begining to feel a little lonely, he ignored it, it was natural, after all, nobody likes to be alone.

Jennette was a fun and outgoing person. Usually. Which is why her current moods had baffled her. During the holidays she had gone home and returned to school unable to stand being around a happy family life. She fed her parents a sappy excuse of having holiday work to do, they were non the wiser. In truth Jennette may have been upset about her exam results, the plan she had when she arrived to take Hogwarts by storm and ace all her exams had so far not panned out. She wanted to tell herself that things would change and that next semester would be different, but she couldn't she had no doubt when the next semester came she would just be the same, barely skating by and she would make it to the fifth year by the skin of her teeth. Then came the genuine fear of her OWL years. With all the pressure of school piled on her back she felt like Atlas carrying the world but her issues didn't stop there. She was lonely, she had only a handful of people she'd spoken to properly since coming her. It hadn't bothered her much before but with her moods the way they were it seemed a good time to let her wall down. The truth was she missed Kiara. She'd spent one day with the Slytherin girl but she felt empty without her around.

Nothing she could do would shake her feels of emptiness so she decided to take a walk in the grounds, if she was going to be miserable she could be miserable in the glorious sunshine that New Zealand had to offer. She somehow made her way to the Garden, she hadn't spent much time here but she always remembered her first year when she felt homesick and how playing in the garden made her happy. To be eleven and cheerful again. As Jennette entered the garden she noticed a boy, she thought she'd seen him before, maybe he was a Gryffindor, maybe they had class together. Perhaps it was both. The odd thing was he was playing in the flowers, an involuntary smile came to her lips. Perhaps this garden and this boy would be enough for her to have a few hours of happiness. "Hey there," She said as she walked over to the boy.

Samual put the flower down quietly, and decided to distract himself with the sunset. Sometimes the weather amazed him by how fascinating it could be, sometimes he would lay out on the lawn, just watching the clouds drift past his head, other times he would just watch the lake slowly reach his feet as he sat carefully on the banks, and then retreat further back to whereever it came from. But the Hogwarts Garden was where he could be usually found, he really liked it here, it was so cheerful, even if he was feeling the consequences of being alone, he cared? It wasn't like he was in the dungeons, having to deal with a heartbroken friend, or against a tree, having to deal with the cruelest thing that walked the Earth, or in the hall, reading a horrible magazine that was spreading rumors about him, his family and his friends. Sometimes it was less stressful to just hang out by himself, he didn't need to worry about people judging him all the time, or butting into his life and questioning his choices and just being horrible to him, he was getting really upset by it, but atleast lately he had been meeting nice, fun people. People like Lola Caracola and Star Moon made him really happy, because they were so different, but they were both nice and really fun. He and Lola spent the afternoon dancing around the Gryffindor Tower without music, while he and Star had built a fort, now that was a lot of fun, even if a few minutes before they'd done that she accidently battered him with half a dozen pillows, he forgave her and they clicked easily. So maybe he could survive Hogwarts for a few more years, those two were in his year, so they would be together for awhile, even when Kate leaves, he'll have Star and Lola atleast.

Samual turned around when he heard someone address him, a kind smile crossed his face, finally, someone didn't say his name upon first meeting! That was such a relief for the Gryffindor. "Hey there youself." He replied, sccoting over and patting the rock surface beside him. "Wanna join me?" He asked. The girl was vaguely familiar, prehaps they were in the same year and shared classes, or maybe she was in Gryffindor. He was sorry to say that he didn't know everyone in his year, because lately he had been trying to be on the down low so he wouldn't be featured in Rumor Has It again, that was a downright nightmare for him. "I'm Sammy, nice to meet you." He added, deciding to introduce himself, holding out his head, his emerald eyes watching the girl kindly, wondering if she would decide to join him or not.
