It was no secret that Weston was obsessed with the man-eating eels. Unfortunately, there were very few people who believed in an eel, much less multiple man-eating ones. He had Indi, of course, but she had to believe in them because she'd seen one herself. It was much harder to convince others of his theory even though it made perfect sense to Weston. Why else was there so much variation in the eel rumors? What else could explain the aggressive nature of the one that had attacked him?
When he'd heard that another student had been attacked, Weston knew immediately that he had to talk to her. She could have valuable information about the creatures that lurked below. His own eel encounter had been very brief, and despite his and Indi's best efforts, they hadn't see any since that fateful day. It had taken Weston some time to track down the other eel victim, but after asking around, he was pretty sure he'd found the right person. "Hi, are you Aine?" he asked, taking a seat opposite the Hufflepuff. "I'm Weston. I heard you were attacked by one of the eels in the lake."
