Spike was standing out on the edge of the cliff, in the forbidden forest looking out amongst everything that was there, he loved the scenery so much, and he wished he could leave just for one day so he could go down and explore the forest below, but if he did he could never return and he wondered what it would be like down there. Looking around as he heard a twig snap he couldn't see anything but just a long see of tree's that traveled for miles.

Walking through from the edge of the forest, Zura was eager to see what all the fuss was about. There had been a memorial service for some young boy only the week before and yet she still saw many entering the forest as if it were a place for an everyday stroll or picnic. Curiosity got the better of her and as soon as she had some free time on her hands she headed in the direction of the forest but to an area that was not quite so visible from the school. She didn't leave a note in her dorm or anything to let people know where she was going because quite frankly other than one particular boy who showed her any signs of friendship around here, no one else did.

Wandering in further and further, she pocketed her wand. There was no need for it as the sun beamed it's way through the trees. As she looked upwards she saw that a good few of the branches were hanging low enough for her to jump up and swing from. Grinning brightly she did just that, jumped until her hands gripped the nearby branch then swung back and forth until finally swinging herself outward and landing on some branches. A few snapped underfoot as she made her way to the next tree, jumping up once more and swinging for all she was worth. As she was alone, she decided to just goof about and swinging by one hand she began to make noises like a monkey would.

In search of the noise Spike turned around and began to walk back into the forest, bow out just in case it was a foe, he was already quick enough at drawing his arrows. Walking back into the forest he could hear what sounded as a lame excuse for a monkey, or a person trying to be a monkey. It sounded pretty pathetic, but he didn't care he found it amusing. " You know you shouldn't be in here." He called out loudly, it was loud enough for people at the outskirts to hear.

She swung continuously thoroughly enjoying herself when from no where came a voice. Losing her balance instantly her hand lost it's grip and she slid to the ground. Landing in a crouching position she groaned a little before standing up to see who had spoken. She could hear someone or something approaching but thought it was just some students having a prank.
"Who's there?" she called out turning in the direction the voice had quite frankly boomed from.

It was a long time since she had heard voices familiar or otherwise, Dover's head turned slowly at the sound and with caution she made her way through the strange forest. She was far from home, her tribe though a small one had a civil battle for leadership. Her father the original leader had been killed and now Ethros stood as tribal leader. She was her fathers only living child, Ethros' loyal followers had no qualms of killing her brother and mother once her father had been disposed of. Dover had turned and galloped for her life. She had gone for days only stopping for water when she thought it safe to do so. She was in deed a long way from her home but it was truly no longer that any more. She was tribe less which felt strange, she was homeless which felt even more strange.

At least the cover of these woods, this thick dense forest gave her some protection. She had sensed the presence of other centaurs at times but kept her distance for fear of her life. The voices were close by and if she were not mistake one was a human while the other was a male centaur. Keeping herself hidden in the shadows she waited to see what would happen to the girl.

Spike sniffed the air, he could smell there was someone else in the area, and they where not human, he didn't mind he knew they wouldn't attack but he didn't trust the person with another Centaur in the area, since what happened to that Jareth kid just a few weeks before. " I'm one of the Centaurs, I come in Peace, not to attack I'm not hunting." Spike called loudly, hoping that the other Centaur wouldn't attack, Spike was a peaceful Centaur and hated violence, he only condoned it when he was hunting.

When she heard the word centaur she stood as if completely frozen, her hand instinctively went to her side where her wand was kept but she did not take it out. Instead her hand stayed there just in case. He had said he came in peace. Zura had never had any dealings with centaurs before and wasn't sure if she wanted any now either but obviously she had come further than she had intended into the forest. Looking back over her shoulder she sighed, the lawn was no more visible than the school was from here.
"Ok" she said aloud, her voice not faltering ... much. The thought of the young boy whose name alluded her came to mind and she stepped back a fraction, prepared to run if she had to but could she seriously out run a centaur.
"I didn't mean to come so far in, seriously" she said just as audible as before.

The other centaur spoke and for a moment Dover thought he was speaking more to her than the human. Waiting to see the outcome of this meeting seemed like too long a wait so Dover made the first move. She had not promised that she had come in peace but she was not likely to cause any problems here. A fight was the last thing she wanted or needed and to simply see or speak to another one of her own kind after weeks of being alone made her decision all the more easier.

Dover could see the girl keep her hand over her wand but not actually touching it as she approached from the other side of her. Her beautiful long blonde mane swished as she trotted up slowly. Her long almost silvery white tail flicked to the side as if swatting some pesky fly away. Dover's long sleek white body seemed radiant in the beams of sunlight breaking on to the forest floor. She was beautiful and was well aware of this, she had also known deep down that Ethros would not have killed her but would have kept her forcefully as his mate if she had not run.

"This is not quite so far in, do not be alarmed" her voice was soft yet held much strength of will and character behind it. As beautiful as she looked, she also looked hungry and exhausted. For fear of disturbing the native tribe of the forest she had not hunted since she had arrived but had lived on vegetation instead.

Spike was surprised when he heard two female voices, they sounded soft, he smiled a little bit before walking out into the clearing and noticing a Centaur that had recently been banished. He wasn't the type of person to judge, but instead he bowed to both the females that stood before him. " Hello, I am Spike, I'm not here to cause either of you harm. Not all of us Centaurs attack humans, some of us don't mind mind talking to them from time to time." He said smiling at the beauty of the other Centaur that also stood before him. He knew who she was, and felt sorry for her for not being able to hunt with the rest of the tribe, he knew she would be hungry. " I never expected to see you out here Dover. It's nice to see you again, don't worry about me. Personally i think it was unfair what they did to you and your father."

A movement caused her to turn but his scent proceeded him, as into the small clearing where both females stood strode the other centaur. The one who had obviously been calling out loud. Dover did not know what to expect, her front hooves pawing at the ground before her let him know how anxious she was of his presence. She kept the distance between them as if it were vital to her. He knew her but that was not surprising, New Zealand was not a huge island and though her own small tribe had come from the south island they were all known to one another. Or at least her father who had been chieftan had been known. She frowned that this stranger who acted as if they had seen one another before, would know her name though and it could only mean one thing. Ethros and the other hunters from her own tribe had sent word ahead.

This forest she knew belonged to Vico and his rather large tribe and she had hoped that she could be save here hiding for a short while at least.
"They did nothing to me" she retorted, her chin lifting up proudly, "my father was killed in a fight for supremacy it happens in tribes. The murder of my mother and my brother are what was unnecessary."

She did not know if he could be trusted, the fact that he had known her name had sent shock waves through her. Rattling her brain for the name Spike, to see if she had heard it before she came up very short.
"Why would I worry about you?" she questioned, her hand touched the handle of her broadsword prepared to use it if needs be. Glancing at the girl she almost whispered to her.
"Stay still human, males cannot be trusted".

Zura was not sure what to do now. The female centaur that approached from her left side was positively beautiful. She had seen pictures of male centaurs before but never female. She was tempted to reach out and touch the almost pure white flanks and body but made sure she didn't. You couldn't just go and touch a centaur the same way you'd touch a horse.

She was glad of one thing and that was she had been assured she had not gone too far at all. Attempting to smile, it faltered as before them came the large male centaur. The female was tall but this guy seemed huge. Amzurah startled took an step backwards, for all of his words she noted that even the female centaur was weary of him. Listening to what they said to one another she frowned, seriously not wanting to come between two centaurs if a fight broke out. The female seemed intent on whispering something to her and startled by it's content, Zura looked wearily at the male centaur. Spike and Dover the names they had called one another. Figuring she had better throw her own into the mix, she lifted a hand up slowly.

"I'm Amzurah or Zura it doesn't really matter. Look is it ok if I just go back where I came from? The two of you seem to have stuff to talk about" she took an involuntary step backwards wondering if either would let her just walk away.

" It is not necessary, but if you would like to, it would be best to take the quickest and most thick path as possible not all Centaurs appreciate humans in the forest, and I would not like to see what would happen to you, if mist or one of the others caught you in here." Spike said kindly and gently as possible. " Don't worry Dover I am not here to hurt you, see." Spike said as he took of his bow and hung it on a low lying branch. " It was unfair what they done, but I promise you this I never had a part in it, and I thought it was unfair and not right what happened to you family, I'm glad you where able to make it away when you did, otherwise, it could have been bad for you."

Zura weighed up her options and figured that finding her way out of the forest by the way the male centaur had indicated was her best bet but then she looked at the female centaur who had been specific about not trusting males and rubbed her forehead. Were centaurs even trustworthy considering what had befallen that young boy? She knew she should still fear for her life especially judging from the weapons that both centaurs carried. Wishing the balance could be brought more in her favor with the entrance of another human Zura sighed.

"Can I trust you both to not stab me in the back as soon as I turn to leave?" she inquired not really nervously but there was still an anxious tremor to her voice.

" I can tell you right now, I wouldn't do such a thing, I would never harm a innocent human being, you haven't done anything wrong all you where doing was walking the forest and you walked amongst us. I trust that Dover wouldn't do anything either." Spike could tell by the look in Dover's eyes she wouldn't attack or do anything of the sort, she seemed to have a calmness about her, it was like she didn't enjoy violence, but you could never know.

He spoke still as if he knew her and it infuriated her no end, choosing to ignore him for now she turned her attention to the human and shook her head at the choice of phrase.
Again Spike spoke and spoke as if she had permitted him to speak for her. Flicking her long blonde hair over her shoulder, her hind legs restless began to stamp the ground behind her.
"I speak for myself centaur. Do not think you have any right as a male to speak for me" turning to the human female she drew out the ancient broadsword that was handed down through the female line of her kin. Her eyes blazed at the human as she held the sword up before her face as if in salute.
"I swear on my sword that you shall not come to any harm by it or I, not today" with that she returned her sword to it's hilt. She chose to keep her gaze averted from Spike, another word from him and she would be sorely tempted to use her sword.

Smiling as he looked at her his yellow peircing eyes looked her all over, it was funny how quick tempered the females could get and how easy they where to attack. Spike didn't care about his won life all he cared about was having fun and making the most of everything that happened. He could tell that Dover was getting close to the end of her wither and would soon attack, but he didn't care, he would make sure she wouldn't hurt him at all. " Zura, would you like to be escorted to the boundaries of the forest? or are you right to walk from here?"

She nodded solemnly as she listened to him speak, his immense height was extremely daunting and she gulped more than once. As the female Dover spoke she turned to look at her and very nearly shrieked when she withdrew a massive sword. It was instinctive and there was nothing she could do about it as her hand immediately drew out her wand. She held it up for just a moment and only lowered it when she saw what the female centaur was doing. So she was not going to be harmed and both were in effect letting her walk out with her life intact. Grateful at least for that much she smiled and nodded her head at the male centaur.

"On the off chance that any more centaurs who aren't quite so ... hospitable as yourselves comes close then I would indeed like that escort" she told him putting her wand away once more.

It had been mildly amusing the girls reaction when Dover had removed her sword but for the girls sake she had been lucky that the wand had been lowered and eventually put away. Dover may have been calm enough towards the human but Spike was riling her no end. She was one of the few more mild mannered centaurs that she knew but she suffered fools seldom if at all. Her temper only rose to the surface if she was made to feel inferior and there was nothing at all inferior about her. Spike's speaking for her had made her feel he thought her beneath him somehow and this she did not like at all.

"The blue haired will take you" she countered when the human decided to accept an escort, swishing her tail once more she trotted slowly to where Spike stood. He was a good 2 ft taller than her at least but this did not sway her at all. She looked into his yellow eyes and locked her own brown eyes with his for a moment before tipping a mock salute to him.

"I shall let you take your female to safety" she grinned at him before stomping the ground once more and galloping away. The bushes and brambles that barred her way were easily vaulted, it looked as if she glided over them instead of merely jumping. Once safely down on the other side she continued to gallop away.

" You need not worry about the hostility that was in the air it was nothing. Pass me your Hand." Spike kind of ordered in a way as he extended his hand out to the girl as he reached out and slung his bow back over his shoulder. He was going to carry her back to the mouth of the forest, but truth was he didn't want her to leave he would have rather that she stay and have a conversation with him, it always brought his spirits up, talking to a human.

Amzurah had watched with interest the banter between the two centaurs and was highly amused by their interaction with each other. It seemed such a shame to have to go but they did seem keen to have her leave. The female centaur left her to the care of Spike and she smiled at him as he offered her his hand. Her mouth hung open in awe, she was seriously going to get to ride astride a centaur. No one would believe her of course. She reached for his hand and he effortlessly swung her up onto his back. Carefully she held on to his waist not sure where else she should hold on to.

"Are you interested in her?" she asked him as they rode along, unable to keep the amusement and interest from her voice, "In Dover I mean."

Smiling at the question she asked him he kind of knew the answer was going to be yes, but also it could be no. " I have known Dover for a very long time, she never used to talk to me, but I used to see her walking around the tribe and every one thought she was beautiful. Which I do as well, but she needs to work on being a little nice to people, and Centaurs." He said with a smile as he slowly took the long way out. "I'm taking the Long way, I wouldn't mind to have a chat."
