It was Halloween night and it seemed like Ava was the only one who didn't think much of the occasion. She didn't see the point of dressing up as someone for one night and celebrating it by eating 'fatty' candy. It didn't make any sense at all and she couldn't even see the fun side of it. Seeing that the Slytherin house was completely empty she left it, not really knowing where she was going but it was better than just being cooped up in her dorm.

She wore a casual yet stylish outfit. She walked slowly past the great hall where she heard roars of laughter and chatter and flash of colour of the different outfits. She was almost tempted to go in but decided against it, who would she go to? She didn't have much friends. Ava shook this thought off and headed up the stairs to the first floor. The corridors were deserted, am I the only one not at the feast? she asked herself rethorically. She sighed as she found herself on the third floor corridor and still didn't bump into a single person. It wasn't like she wanted to talk to someone it was just that it would make her feel a little less alone.

Walking past a door that read 'Trophey Room' Ava stopped. She had never heard or seen this before now. Looking up and down the corridor she shrugged, there was nothing else she would do except walk around the castle feeling sorry for herself. She pushed open the door and entered the room. The room was - at first - just flashes of gold trophies but once her eyes got used to it she saw all of the individual shapes and sizes of the awards. She began to walk around the room looking at some of the awards, she didn't know any of the receivers of the awards. She didn't really know anyone in this school. In her old school she knew everyone and everyone's gossip. In this school she didn't even know that many people in her year. She sighed to herself and stared into a large gold trophey wondering if her name would ever end up inscribed on one of them.
