Today, Chloe had absolutely nothing to do. All of her other friends were out, and then Ash was probably at Quidditch practice or sneaking out as he usually did. Now, she had to find something to do by herself. This was just a lazy day afternoon, and she was intending to take advantage of every single moment of it. So far, she had caught up on her school work, had gotten a new book, and even got to go for a jog for the first time in what seemed to be forever. How she was just relaxing in one of the school's courtyards, sitting on a fountain and reading her new book. It was all about dragons. That was what she was passionate about, even if she didn't admit that to many people. Plus, because of her girly appearance, many people just didn't believe her when she said that she did, in fact, want to be a dragon tamer. Nonetheless, she sat there, half-wanting company now that she had spent most of the day alone.

Johanna took a deep breath as she walked outside. It was a lovely afternoon. She had spent much of the morning practicing her music.she had finished composing a new tune of hers it wasn't that good but she hadn't really been in the creative type of mood. After lunch she had decided to relax. She looked around the courtyard and saw her favorite place to read. She walked over towards the fountain. It was her favorite place to read in the courtyard. She found the flow of the water calming and she felt almost peaceful when she was there.Usually it would be unoccupied but today there was a pretty looking girl sitting there reading a book.Johanna bit her lip.She wasn't that good with strangers even though she was quite friendly. She pushed her b=nervous thoughts aside and sat down at the side of the fountain that was nearest to her.she took a quick glance at the girl before opening her book and reading.

Chloe looked from over her book and to the girl, smiling softly. Maybe they could talk... Maybe she'd even make a new friend. After all, they were both in the same place and time, and they were doing the same thing. She put down her book with a soft thump against the stone fountain, and looked over at the girl once again. "What're you reading?" Her soft, high-pitched voice rang, examining her. She was pretty, but she looked shy. Chloe never understood that. If you were pretty, than you should be outgoing! That way you got to know more people. That's how she had gotten Ash, so it seemed that she could now give people advice if they needed it. Nonetheless, she just sat there and waited for a response. Even if it was slightly awkward at that moment, Chloe knew that eventually the meeting would result in a new friendship.

Johanna looked up and smiled when she saw that the girl had spoken to her "Matched"she said holding up the book so that the girl could see it.she then closed it and lay it down beside her "I'm Johanna"She smiling and putting out her hand. The girl seemed nice they could hopefully even become friends.Johanna could feel her confidence growing. That usually happened, once somebody started talking to her she could usually tell whether they would be friendly or not and this for some reason helped her boost her confidence.

Chloe smiled more and more with the passing time, shaking the girl's hand and then propping herself up against the fountain's base. "I'm Chloe." Her nose wiggled like a bunny rabbit's, and it was actually a sight to see. Not many people could do it, but Chloe could and it was steadfastly one of her major habits. At the same time, she saw that the girl was slowly becoming much more confident and maybe even outgoing. It was a nice thing, after all breaking out of a shell would always be good for a person mentally and physically.

Johanna smiled. She liked this girl she seemed nice and hyper.Johanna hadn't really made any friends after first year. She had just kept her few friends close. But that had been a bad idea because they had all got new friend and some had left her behind completely. So she was just that extra bit happy to have found a new friend.Johanna laughed when Chloe wiggled her nose "Thats so cool how do you do that"She asked turning herself towards the girl.It was so cool what she was doing with her nose it looked almost like what a rabbit would do.

"Okay look!" Chloe said, happy that she laughed at her nose. "You tilt it to one side," She paused and moved her nose a little, "And then tilt the other way." Chloe did as she instructed to the other girl, and then her nose wiggled. Being the attention seeker that she was at times, it was just something that she had picked up after watching television too much. At the same time as she reminisced about that, she was happy that Johanna and her were becoming such fast friends. After all sometimes Chloe just didn't get along with people, and then she would make an enemy instead of a friend.

Johanna laughed again."I'll have a go"She said trying what Chloe said but she couldn't do it. "I can't do it"She said frustrated but still laughing. She was used to being able to everything so needless to say she didn't like not being able to do this. "How come you can do it"She asked still attempting to do it.She probably looked like a right idiot but she was detirmined to get it.She then let out an exasperated sigh "I shall get that"She said almost to herself. She then burst out laughing.Chloe seemed to have that affect in her. "When did you learn to do that"She asked sitting down at the base of the fountain

Chloe laughed, cutting it off with a snort. After all the girl's attempts were just so awkward looking. "I just can!!" A grin didn't leave her face for a single second, which was a nice change of pace. More often than not, she would just smile. That wasn't a bad thing at all, but the smile never really changed to a grin. It seemed as if lately she couldn't stop grinning.. With spending her days with Ash and a couple new friends, she had no reason to stop. "It's a funny story actually... My mother and my father work a lot, so when I was younger I'd just watch T.V. I saw someone doing that, and I tried it out!"

Johanna sighed, her smile still on her face.she really liked Chloe, she was like a breath of fresh air for Johanna who had been spending most of her time reading and studying. When she was younger she used to be full of life and smiles all around but when times had got tough she had grown up earlier then most people so she could support her mother and herself. She could feel the more fun part of her start to show. Not a lot of people saw her like this.It felt good to have a permanent smile on her face.

"You serious"Johanna said surprised that, that was the story. She suddenly burst out laughing "Thats so cool"She said between her laughter. She couldn't believe it was so simple. She realised she had been trying to hard before so she decided to just do it and not think about it.Suddenly she felt her nose wiggling. She had done it! "I did it"She said her smile widening. She couldn't believe something as small as that was making her so happy. It felt good and she wanted it to last forever.

"Excellent excellent!" Chloe mused, clapping a couple of times and rocking back and forth just from laughing. In fact, she was so distracted from the laughing that she fell into the fountain with a splash. However she didn't pop up and shriek at the cold water, she just laughed harder and lent against the edge. Now that graduation was near, it was refreshing to actually get a break from everything and relax. She had been studying hard for finals, making sure that she got the marks that would impress both her friends and her parents. But this was just relaxing.

After some time, she got up and snickered, wringing out her dress and her hair. "Look at me, I'm a mess, huh?" She sighed and took off her shoes, spilling out the extra water in them and wiggling her toes around a little. This was an interesting day, and that was clear, but it was just hysterical at this point. Whether it be trying to wiggle noses or trying to control laughter, she could tell that Johanna could come to be one of her best friends in her whole life. Yes this was a bold statement to make, but it seemed accurate enough to assume at this point.

Johanna tried controlling her laughter. She couldn't remember laughing this much. She was just starting to regain her composure and her normal breathing patterns when Chloe fell into the fountain. This started Johann off again. In one part of her mind she was worried that Chloe had hurt herself but the rest of her found it hillarious. She was nearly bent over in laughter.Luckily Chloe was laughing as well. Johanna couldn't remember the last time she had had so much fun. She had been so busy studying she ha basically forgotten how to have fun and relax. Chloe had completely changed Johanna in just one meeting. Nobody had ever made Johanna laugh this much. Johanna hoped they would become best friends for the rest of their lives.

Johanna stopped laughing and looked up at Chloe when she got up and spoke. "Well perhaps you've seen better"She said grinning. It was now she noticed all the faces staring at them and one or two sniggering. She dismissed them and without warning the flashback of Chloe falling in came back and she started laughing again. When this fit of laughter had stopped she looked back up at Chloe "Are you alright?"She asked knowing it was a bit late to ask the question.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry it took so long to reply have been really busy with exams lately!

Chloe kept laughing, nodding as a sign that she was okay and stepping outside of the fountain she had seen so often at school. This was just too much fun, and with the stresses of moving in with her boyfriend and finding a job right out of school, this was an excellent way of just unwinding and enjoying the day. School was a home to her, and the idea of her leaving scared her terribly. She would never admit that to anyone, even to Ash. The French girl had too much pride to ever admit that she was scared or hurt, she would hold it in and not even say a word. It was a coping mechanism, taught by her father. To him admitting weakness was always out of the question, and after he passed on Chloe had promised to herself that she would always put that into practice.

She shook out her hair and put it into a bun, bangs now plastered to her face, still giggling a little bit. Then she looked to the people staring at her and grinned at them, causing even more looks and laughs from everyone all around. And after some time she looked back to her newest friend and smiled, taking off her dress and settling for the tank top and shorts she often hid under it. They were less wet, and it seemed that that way she'd be more comfortable. "I'm fine, thanks for asking!"

Johanna was more calmed now. That was something she would never forget and the flashbacks gave her a fit of giggles."That was priceless"She said between giggles.Johanna was relieved when Chloe said she was okay she felt less guilty for not asking earlier on.He mother had always taught her to be mannerly and not laugh at other people when they did something like Chloe just demonstrated but sometimes you can't help laughing.

Johanna raised her eyebrows when she Chloe had shorts and a t-shirt on underneath her dress. "Good idea"She said grinning. That was something she had never thought about though she didn't expect herself to be falling into a fountain anytime soon but she was sure thats not why Chloe did it in the first place. Suddenly tired Johanna sat down beside the fountain, the laughing had worn her out and it was getting late but she she didn't mind. Finally the people that had been gawking at then started leaving "Well that was fun"She said smiling glad she had decided to come her today.
