It was the last year Geo had to throw her New Year's parties, and she hoped others would keep the tradition going once she'd left. It had originated from her own birthday party, but since others seemed to enjoy the late night festivities including the music, food and small bonfire, it had turned into an annual affair. It was strange to think that this time though, Austin wasn't around to celebrate too, although it wouldn't be long until the pair were reunited. They'd met three years ago at the first party Geo had hosted, so they always held a special place in her heart.

After speaking to Sara, the girls had organised the event once more, getting the place ready for anyone and everyone to welcome in the new year. She hoped her friends would join of course, but it would be a good chance too for the younger students to come along, and one of the last occasions the hopeful Auror would have of meeting new faces while still at the school. Geo wore a simple black dress, and met up with her friend near the cliffs, helping to put out up the lights and decoration, and set the food cooking, with marshmellows on sticks ready to be warmed over the small open flame. "Do you think many people will come this year?" she asked the Slytherin, hanging up another balloon that was filled with popping confetti. When the balloons burst at midnight, they'd shower everyone with small fireworks. It was almost time for the party to begin, and Geo danced across to the music, grabbing herself a drink and grinning at her best friend.

Ilija had been debating even going to the New Years eve party, although if nothing else maybe it would be a good chance to socialise with other people he knew. No one would notice at a place like this, if he just kept to a small group, and just went to enjoy the atmosphere, so when the fourth year eventually made up his mind, he put on something casual and threw on a hoodie, and slid outside towards the party. He was surprised really that none of the professor had twigged on to something like this, given that the students were all out late, but maybe that was part of the charm. Right now it was early enough that they weren't going to be scolded for it, and the Hufflepuff wondered how long he'd last before making his way back to the castle to avoid detention. He'd mentioned the party to Padme too, and he hoped she'd join him because it could be a fun night with his friend too, although he did hope that he wasn't interfering too much in her own life. By the time he got to the cliffs, there really weren't that many people there yet, and the fourth year hung around a short distance away, awkwardly trying to figure out whether or not to proceed.

Sara really couldn't grasp the fact that she was graduating at the end of the year, or, the end of next semester already. Half the year had flown by and the girl wanted to make the most of it while she was still here at Hogwarts. She had made a new friend or two, not that it was the most ideal since she was leaving, but they were her age and so it would be good to meet up in the future, maybe. She had sort of wanted to be more involved in the school, but she had tried to find a way to do that still without having to join any new clubs. Being part of Quidditch and the sisterhood kept her busy enough. She had, however, been more than happy when her friend Geo had asked if Sara wanted to organise the new year cliff party with her this year. She knew how popular it had gotten and therefore it became an annual celebration. She smiled at her friend as they finished setting up, and she had to think about her answer. "I think so," she said confidently, glancing at Geo as she too grabbed herself a drink. "It's been really popular so far," she added, wanting more than anything to reassure the Hufflepuff. It was their last new year's party here, after all.

A party, now this was why Ampersand stayed. The brunette teen dressed carefully in a simple dress with flats so as to be comfortable. She knew she looked good, her expensive clothing and high fashion face - her parents always told her she belonged in Vogue Italia. The slytherin made her way down to the party, and it seemed she was more than fashionably early. Or maybe it was a dud. Quietly she approached adn gave a nod to the blonde, whom was the organizer it seemed. "I hope there are more celebrators." She mentioned.
