Teddy sat on the side of the harbour, his feet dangling into the calm waters. He was wearing simply summer shorts with a shirt on the floor next to him and his trainers. It was warm , being that time of year and all, and he loved it. It may have to do with the sunshine coming out or, more likely, the short summer dresses that followed it. The younger boy was getting used to life without worries that stemmed further than his education. Believe it or not, he was actually living a normal teenage life for once. It was great.

Teddy heard someone walk past him and sit down close. It was another boy, around his own age. They sat there in a comfortable silence for a while, just listening to the sound of the waves and the shoes on the road behind them. It was nice for a bit until a real wave arrived. Until then the waves had been small, just hitting Teddy's ankles, but, out of the blue, one arrived the reached up to where he, and the other boy, were sat. His shorts were soaked.

"What the F..." His sentence stopped as he jumped up onto his feet, though it was obvious what he was going to say. Teddy patted down his wet shorts but it made no difference, they were still soaking wet. He looked over to the other lad to see if the same had happened to him as well. "Good job it's sunny eh?" Teddy smiled and decided not to care about his shorts, the heat would be enough to dry them off throughout the day.

Walking out of the local take away store, Ash Richards headed towards the harbour. He had blue boardshorts on, which a black singlet and thongs. A pair of designer glasses hid his eyes from the world, and his blonde hair shone in the bright sun. He had two bottle of coke in his hand, and was chewing on the new strawberry bubblegum. He was usually a healthy eater, being a professional Quidditch player, but today he felt like letting loose a bit. As he reached the harbour he sat down, and taking in his surroundings, noticed only one other person near him. The boy was only a few years younger than he, and didnt seem like he was going to get up Ash for sitting too close to him.

No sooner had he set the coke down, a wave suddenly jumped over the stone wall he was sitting on and drenched his shorts in water. "Damn it!" he exclaimed and stood up, flicking off some of the water off his shorts. He looked up at the other boy, and chuckled to himself. At least he hadnt been the only one. "Yeah i suppose. Needed something to cool me down." he chuckled and picked up the two drinks and handed one to the man, and also offered his hand. "Im Ash Richards." he said, and smiled at the boy.

Teddy grinned at the other boy and took both the coke and the hand offered too him. "Thanks mate, Teddy Cameron." He let the other man hand go and took a swig of the cool beverage he had been handed. It was nice and refreshing in this heat. He looked down at the ground that was still wet and made a quick decision that he wouldn't be sitting back down there till they had both dried off.

"Feel like finding somewhere dry to sit?" Teddy asked the other boy, Ash, nodding to a bench close by. The guy looked around the same age if only a year or two older than himself. He seemed cool, judging simply on what he was wearing and his actions so far, very cool actually. He wondered to himself if this would be one of the days where he met someone who he would never see again even though they got along well, or it could be that they became mega close friends. Who knew? Every meeting was different after all.

Ash grinned and nodded to the boy, following him over to the bench. He opened his drink, and took a large sip of it, feeling the tingling sensation as the drink ran down his throat. He sat at the bench, adjusting his singlet, and sat fiddling with his engagement ring. It still felt strange on his hand, and even though it was a plain band of silver, it still felt extremely out of place. He looked up at the boy, taking it his features. Ï guess your still at school, of some sort?" he asked the boy, as he took in the fact that he was younger than Ash.

(Sorry, braindead)

Teddy nodded as he, too, drank from his bottle. "Yeah, just got into Durmstrang this year to finish off school. Don't ask me how, I wouldn't let me in with my academic history." He laughed and took another swig. It was true, not many people were willing to take him in. Hogwarts had said no to letting him transfer back and he didn't even try beauxbatons, they were worse than Hogwarts.

Teddy watched the guy mess with a ring on his hand before it clicked what kind of ring it was. "I see you're set to get hitched then." He smirked a bit but it wasn't a cruel one. The guy looked young to be engaged but Teddy couldn't judge, he looked young to have been raising three kids but that didn't mean it hadn't happened.

(It's cool :) )

Ash chuckled as he watched the boy, nodding his head the the comment. He knew how it felt to be the troublemaker of school. Being the popular one in his year, it had taken alot to keep control of his peers, and he had donme some things he now regretted a bit. "School is school." he shrugged. Unless you were insanely rich, like his friend Blaine, you had to have some education to make it in life. Luckily, Ash was sporty, not that he wasnt smart. He just preferred the physical side to life, aposed to books and whatnot.

Looking up from the ring, he smiled at Teddy, shrugging again. "Yeah... I never pictured myself being engaged at nineteen, but i suppose, when you find that special someone, it just seems right." he said with a stupid grin, thinking about Chloe. "Dont get me wrong, it wasnt an easy decision. I just started the season, and with a new career being the youngest player in my Quidditch team, i wasnt sure if i could handle being engaged and playing pro Quidditch..." he explained, saying more than was needed. "But it just feels... Right." he finished, looking back down at the ring. "What about you? Any special girl in your sights?"

Teddy's eyes widened. "You're a pro Quidditch player? Which team?" This guy was shaping up to be pretty cool fair play. He listened to the stuff about the special someone, he knew what it was like to think he had met that girl, he didn't know what it was like to have actually met her though. Judging by Ash's face, it was good. He wondered briefly if he should start looking for something serious but disregarded it, he was fine drifting for now.

"Nah, Me and my Girlfriend just broke up a while back and no-one's popped up as of yet. " Teddy smiled, just a small smile, and took another swig of the drink. He had thought he really liked Skyle but, well, what can you do when your feelings change right? Teddy had changed too and that wasn't fair on Skyle. He knew he'd hurt her but it would've happened either way and this was the best for them both.
