Killian had been happy to hear about Geovanna transferring from his former school to here Hogwarts New Zealand. Though he had wished that maybe his own fiancé could have done so too, though maybe that would have been too much to work together and live together. Knocking on the office door the Professor didn't wait for a formal 'come in' before opening the door and stepping in. He gave a low whistle. "Welcome to the team Geo," He said grinning a little. "It'll be good to have you around, within reason of course." Killian added, remembering the time the blonde had interrupted his first official date with Elio, thank Merlin that had been sorted out.

Although it had been somewhat surreal to be back in this school, the very place she found herself at home all those years ago, it had surprised Geo how little time it had taken to feel as though she'd fit straight back in. Sure, this wasn't technically her office, and the students she taught wouldn't be hers in a years time, but for now everything felt as though it was in the right place, and that she was supposed to be here even if it was only for a short amount of time.

The blonde looked up to the door of the office as it opened, Killian letting himself in. "Hey Kill!" the woman strode a few feet across the room to wrap her arms around his shoulders, giving him the first proper hug since she'd taken on her new role here. "Thank you, it's certainly going to be a fun one I think," Geo was more than ready to get stuck in and she chose to ignore the way he'd said within reason. "It's so strange, I'm working with people who used to teach me here, or we were classmates," she told him, the light shining in her eyes. "Ilvermorny is great but I'm going to make the most of being here too," she nudged him with her elbow, "Coffee?" she asked.

Killian welcomed the hug without objections. Since their first meeting a few years back the blonde Professor had surely crept her way into the ranks of those closest to Killian and therefore to the ranks of those who he didn't mind hugging. If you asked the man how that had happened he would say he had no clue, just like most things lately the friendship had just fallen into place on its own. "Yeah I couldn't imagine teaching back at Ilvermorny." He hadn't hated the school but it also didn't feel right to return there as a Professor for whatever reason. "Well as far as I am concerned you are most welcome and fitting right in. plus I am sure your kids love having their mum here as well," Killian said raising a brow. Though then again maybe two parents at your school teaching you wasn't the ideal situation for most teenagers?

Taking a seat the Professor gave a slight nod. "Tea is fine thank you," he said before taking a look around the room. "So how'd break go? I assume you had quite a bit to discuss during it?" Killian asked, Geo had got the details of end of year feast out of him eventually and he'd assumed there'd be a few not so comfortable discussions over it perhaps. Not that it was any of his business but he wanted to see how the woman was feeling about it all now afterwards.

Geo had to hold back a snort at the prospect of her children being glad she was here. "Well, I haven't to Veronica since she told me I wasn't her real mom, and the boys seemed distraught at the idea of me teaching them Defense, especially when they'll have their dad teaching them later too." They had told Nox, but his face when he realised Geo had been serious had made the woman think that the Hufflepuff thought she'd been joking when she announced it around the family table. "Lumos did give me a hug though in the Great Hall, I hadn't expected him to be so outright with his affections in front of his friends," she was certainly going to make the most of it. It wouldn't be long until the Slytherin was too old to be giving his mum hugs in public. Bailey and Millie had kept to themselves for the most part, although Geo wondered whether Bailey in particular was simply too tied up with her friends to worry about her parents at the moment.

Geo hadn't actually updated Killian on her conversation with Veronica yet, so she did her best to fill him in with the events that followed. She still wasn't convinced James was on the same page as her, which was somewhat frustrating, and with things being a little tense between Geo and her daughter, it would have been a lie to say that parenting was always easy. "I just want to make the most of this year." She told him. "I don't know how things will play out but if this is my only opportunity, I want to make it count." Even if things weren't the smoothest. She'd finished pouring out the tea, sliding a mug across to Killian before taking a seat opposite him. "You know, I think this is the first time you and I have had a chance to talk without the presence of children," she mentioned, taking a sip of her own tea. "Bit ironic it's taking place in a school though."

Killian tried to not show too much surprise or any other emotion as his friend told her daughter had outright told her she wasn't her real mum. Seemed a bit harsh but then again most of the woman's kids were deep in the teenage turmoil so the things they said might have been harsh, at least if he was going off of how he was at that age. Then again their situation was very different but he knew such comment would have hurt Geo, deeply, she loved those children and that was one thing he admired about his best friend. The devotion she showed to those around her. "Oh yes the third year twins? Both of them are in my class too, though one of them said he's only taking it for his best friend, Lumos I believe it was." He explained with a light chuckle, really he was just glad to see students indulging in the subject.

The Professor listened to the blonde's explanation and nodded every now and then. Again it all seemed a bit harsh but he wasn't one to judge and he was just glad he could be there for Geo as someone to talk to about this. He gave a nod at her statement about making the most of it. "Oh you should, in all honesty the year will pass you by so fast so just make every second count." It was nice to have a friend around the place he worked, sure Killian had gotten familiar with his fellow Professors but not really on the same level he was friends with Geovanna. In fact he didn't have many friends like that, if any, besides her. "Now if you tell anyone, and I mean anyone, I said this there will be consequences," he said in a jokingly manner, giving a small smile to emphasis the nature of his words. "I am glad to have you around, however long you'll be." Killian finished before taking his tea and sipping at it. Giving a light chuckle at her words he had no problem agreeing, it was kind of ironic. "Hey a win is a win though, am I right?" The man stated raising his mug to sort of cheers for the child-free environment.

It didn't surprise Geo to hear that Lumos was only taking Muggle Studies for Demi's benefit. The two had been best friends since they'd started at school, and while twenty years ago she'd never pictured her son being friends with Aion's daughter, it was amusing how things turned out. "Demi Zephyr? She's a good girl, although she reminds me a lot of Veronica at times." The Ravenclaw had been round her house on numerous occasions, and she'd even stayed during the holidays for a sleepover in the most recent break. Lumos was as loyal at they came, and despite Geo's attempts at getting the boy to take her own subject, she was glad to hear that he was still doing well in her studies elsewhere even if it wasn't with her.

"I think that's what I most nervous about," Geo didn't want the time to fly by, not when it would be the only time she had for her stepchildren to all be at the school together. At least she was here to experience it now though. The blonde grinned at his admission, "Luckily for you that's what I do," she teased, "I worm my way into your life and then you find it very difficult to get rid of me Mr Fox," she winked, taking another sip of her drink. She did her best to know as many people as possible and took pride in her networking abilities, because at the end of the day it was the people around you that made life feel like a success. It was the reason behind everything she did. "That being said, I think it's a fair assumption to make at this point you're also my closest friend, Kill." She knew a lot of people, but she was no longer close to a great deal. She'd be there for anyone if they asked for it, but there weren't many that knew her inside out. "When I'm gone, you'll have to look out for Aelin and Eden when they're around Hogwarts," she told him, knowing the man would be on their tail if it meant they'd do their best while at school.
