It had been rather enjoyable to attend the ball with someone, she had expected to be alone during the event, to go and be alone like she had during the yuleball, but this had not been the case, in fact she had gone with Tristan, someone she’d known most of her life at school but with whom she had only recently struck up a friendship with. It was nice, he was charming and lovely. He was just a good and nice person. Someone she could see herself spending time with. She maybe had developed a little crush on the boy, she wanted and would remain his friend, uninterested in dating or pursuing her feelings but eager enough to spend a little less time thinking about Xavier and let herself move on a little. She had missed him at the dance, truly had missed him. Missed his smile and his company, but she couldn’t remain hung up on a boy that she hadn’t technically done much dating of. She had to let herself move on. She was sitting in the library with a faint smile on her face as she thought of the evening she had had with him. She was vaguely studying as she sat in the library, her mind was a little distracted but she was attempting to not let it affect her too much as she was in her first NEWT year and she needed to do well.
