Blake was hurrying down the stairs, she was already super late, more than acceptable and Violette was probably dying of boredom waiting for her, maybe she had even left already. The girl arrived, she was wearing a red dress and some black boots, a looked that was fresh enough for the season, she hurried to Violette, who thankfully was still there waiting for her "I'm so sorry" the Gryffindor girl she said between breaths "I totally lost track of time, are you waiting here for a long time?" Blake asked the other girl, pretty sure her answer would be yes but there was always a small chance that the Ravenclaw girl could have just arrived as well.

Violette hadn't expected to be paired with a girl for the blind dates thing, but it was kind of comforting. She at least knew how to be around girls, as she had female friends. Violette rarely talked to boys, so she was kind of glad to be paired with a girl even if she barely knew her. But Blake Lodge was still intimidating in her own right. She was very pretty and also very confident, completely different to Violette herself. She was sure having her as a date would be a disappointment to a girl like that, but she would still try her best. But as Blake didn't show up at the great hall, Violette started to wonder. Had she bailed on her? Had she already gone in to find someone better to spend time with? Violette didn't know, and simply kept waiting, growing more anxious. But then the girl popped up, apologizing and asking if she had been waiting here for a long time. Violette was a bit overwhelmed by her sudden presence, even though she had been waiting for her. "Oh, uh... no not at all." She said quickly. "It's fine."

Blake took a proper look to the other girl, her dress was stunning, the color combination of the bag and dress were something she would never think of doing as it was too bold even for her but somehow this girl effortlessly pulled it off, "You look great!" she told the other girl with a smile. She couldn't help but be a bit disappointed to be paired with a girl instead of a boy, she was looking forward to a dance with a guy but she had to admit that girls were a lot more fun to hang with so she decided not to dwell on it and just enjoy her night with Violette. "So Violette, what do you wanna start doing tonight? Dancing or drinking?" she asked the other girl with a smirk. She had this idea that Violette was usually a quiet girl, she seemed to be super responsible so Blake, tonight, was trying to give her a little push and help her coming out of her shell.
