Makaylah wonder to the owerly where the owls rested their feathers at time. After delivering a letter to and from the senders and those replying. Makaylah held her stuff moose thinking about home. She had yet to receive a letter from her mommy or any from her three older brothers. It wasn't like Makaylah to be home sick but right now she missed it badly. New Zealand wasn't like Hawaii, it held many difference a few similarities but it wasn't the same.

"Nex" Makaylah counted in her Makah native language, she was still practicing some of her native language. She kept counting one through ten as she held her stuff moose close to her chest. When she got tired of it, Makaylah started to pronounce the sun and the stars. Everything in between, if only mommy heard me now. Makaylah sighed. Her source of comfort was Moose but even he couldn't stop the bit of tears sliding Makaylah cheek. "If only, if only..." she hum the rest of the poem to herself. A poem her mom used to sing to her when she was little and afraid.

Zazuka was showing her love for the spring sesson with the way she was starting to dress. Gone where the thick stalkings and layered clothes trading them for loose fitting clothes and sandals most of the time. Zazuka was going up to the Owlry to see if one of the school owls had not forgotten to give her a letter. It had been ages since she had written to Jon with nothing coming back. She was really starting to worry about him but then again he was a grown man. She couldn't escape the nawing feeling in her stomach though.

It wasn't until she came up to the landing that she saw one of the first years holding a stuffed moose and looking up. Makaylah if she remembered her name right. She was the energetic girl that Zazuka had met in Ollivander's. "Hello there dear anything wrong?" She asked as she looked over the girl's face. Zazuka didn't have to use any Seer tricks to see that the girl was a bit unsettled in Hogwarts and wanted to see if she couldn't make her feel a bit better.

Makaylah looked up only to bowed her head after. She began to explain in Makah language that she was afraid and alone. She stop when she realize the girl probably didn't understand Makah. Makah were the Leah river resides and tribal classes took place on Makah's landscape. "Hi...just keeping the owl friends company, they do more than just deliver mail if you didn't know" she fixed her glasses up. The thick frames constantly slipping down her little nose. "Decided to make friends with these feather creatures..." who had always felt like the guardians of the wizaring world itself. Never did she heard a bad wizard using owls to deliver mail, so it must be something good. Makaylah looked away to hide the truth from the girl. That she so badly misses home and nothing seems to comfort her at all.

Zazuka put her hand up and instantly one of the owls came down to stand on it. "Yes the owls are good to make friends with. They will never fail you if you treat them well. They are not like house elves who follow one master blindly without a thought for themselves and how they are treated. They have feelings. There are even a few that are a bit touchy about how they are handaled even by the best of owners." She said as she passed the back of her index finger down the owl's chest.

Zazuka held the owl out for Makaylah to stroke as well. Animals behaved when Zazuka was around but not because they where afraid of her. Animals did not rispond to fear the way humans did Zazuka had found. Creatures seemed to trust her for some reson. She saw that Makaylah had looked away and Zazuka ran her hand gently down the girl's hair. "It is only natural to miss one's home." She said to tell her that there was little that could be hidden from her.

Makaylah watched impressed by the older girl abilities. In her tribe a woman who cared for owls like that are consider to be wise! This one seem to be wise beyond this century."That's true and if you noticed the beak" Makaylah stood on her tippy toe to point at the owl beak. "They are good for attacks so I'm sure owls can defend for themselves. I like to consider them warriors or mother nature messenger" Makaylah sighed happily at the creature. She knew the best of her knowledge got to her at times. But she couldn't help but admire owls, or any sort of animals. Makaylah loved them

"Yeah home..." Makaylah looked at the older girl again. "New Zealand pretty but its nothing like Hawaii! The weather constant and it hardly changes except when it rain and maybe around Winter time" she wrapped her little arms around a railing, railing lead them to staircases. "Plus tribal school should be starting soon" she sighed again this time sadly. "I'm gonna miss it now that I'm at Hogwarts"
