Why hadn't anybody thought to tell Penny that she had a very tight window that she had to arrive in in order to take part in the duelling tournament? Maybe they had been in the instructions but she hadn't taken much notice of them. Anyway, she had taken a quick detour to the kitchen to settle the grumbling stomach on the way to her duel, only to discover that made her late and automatically disqualified. They could have made allowances but chose not to.

In retrospect, not the cleverest of choices, but in her defence, the kitchens had been close to the chamber. Not wanting to stay and watch duels that she missed out on, Penny headed outside. The fresh air was nice compared to the damp dungeons. She walked down to the lake, realising then that it had been a long time since she last visited the water's edge.

Blah.

That was it, that was the feeling for the day. Blah, Roxy. Bare footed, the part-goblin witch wander aimlessly on her own looking for something to do, something or someone to speak to. Someone, ANYBODY TO TALK TO?! Not one to typically crave attention, Roxy was on the lookout for it badly. A trail of mud trace back to her very small foot prints. If anyone was to take notice and follow them they might be able to catch up to the wandering Slytherin. Unless they'd be ignored, and well, that wasn't going to happen today! Roxy will talk to the very first person she sees by the water's edge.

And, so she does.

"Alright mate?"

Penny's thoughts drifted back to the duelling tournament. Had she been allowed to complete then she'd probably have already won by now. She was certain she would have been victorious in every game, had only she been allowed her first one.

A voice brought her back to the lake, she turned and looked at the barefoot girl, Penny smiled at her, "Hey, yeah..." Her tone was not convincing, she took a breath then added, "Stupid duelling tournament. What a waste of time."
