Libby made her way up the owlery. She had to write a letter to Zavier, get in contact with him somehow. She'd come back to Hogwarts, something she wasn't expecting to do. Now she lived with her brother, an older man who she only knew about recently. It was strange, being away from all the family she knew, but she'd chosen it so she could return to magic, return to her friends.

Pushing open the door it creaked, and she walked over the window sill. She'd written her letter in the common room. It had taken her some time to get it right.

Zavier,
I know we've only met briefly, for short amounts of time, but, i feel as though you are my closest friend. Recently i found out i have an elder brother, and so i've moved back to England. I didn't know after i was put into hiding whether or not i would be able to talk to you again, but i think, if you want to too of course, that we should prehaps commucate by letter, and meet in the holidays.
I'll keep this short and sweet. I wish we could see more of each oter, and if this is forward i'm sorry.
From Libby x

She'd looked it over time and time again, and before she could change her mind again, she attached it to an owl, and sent it on it's journey.

Zavier tapped his quill irritably on the small desk next to his Transfiguration professor's desk; he was in detention again, this time for something he definately didn't do. His mind crossed briefly to last year, and how he'd tried to transfer to Hogwarts New Zealand. And one friend that he had there, the one he missed for the sake of actually having a friend. The usually chipper boy was now quiet (not really any change there) and subdued, brooding over what a tragedy it was to be stuck at this awful school. Zavier hated it. He was good-hearted behind the pranks, and hated the lessons on such evil themes. Durmstrang focussed too much on the Dark Arts, something Zav detested.

An owl came and tapped against the window, and Zav stopped. He glanced up at the window, then the Professor's desk. She'd gone a few minutes ago, he reminded himself. Something about another duel in the corridor. Taking the opportunity to grab it, he slid open the window and grabbed the letter, stuffing it into the depths of his uniform fur robe. The window fell shut with a loud bang, leaving Zav no choice but to leap back to his detention spot and keep writing, pretending it wasn't him.

Once his tedious detention was over, Zavier rushed back to his dormitory and attempted to ignore the fight going on inside as he read the letter. Libby! She remembered! he thought excitedly, face lighting up like a child seeing a mountain of candy. Chuckling inwardly at the girly-ness of the letter, he tore a bit of parchment off the end of his History of Magic assignment and began to write back.

Hey Libby!

Wow, your letter couldn't have come at a better time. Caught me in a detention, haha. Don't worry about it, made my day a little more exciting, sneaking 'round the Professor to open the window and get the letter. If only the window hadn't dropped and made a huge noise I'd have been safe!

Wow, you have a brother? I don't have any brothers, just three sisters. Girls are THE WORST people to have to share a house with, I tell you.

Letters sound great! It's be fantastic to write, anything to look forward to in this hellhole is appreciated heaps. And if you're free in the holidays that'd be cool.

Gotta go, the other boys have spotted me. Greaaat.

Adios, Zav :)

Zavier pocketed the letter, making a mental note to send it when the other boy's weren't there. He really didn't want to be pestered about who he was writing to.

Libby was lying on her bed in the girls dormatories. She shared it with a few others, but none that really payed any attention to her, but then who did? Even Larissa, the person she thought she was closest to hated her, and she had no idea why. Maybe this school wasn't what Libby wanted. She worked hard to become a prefect, and was hoping to become a teacher later on, but could she really go through another three years on her own?
She stood up, sighing and making her way down into the common room. It too, was emtpy. Everyone was probably out, enjoying the sun. She walked over to the window sill, looking down and across the quidditch pitch. That was another thing. She'd tried hard to become in the quidditch team, but only ever made it as an alternative.
Just then she saw a small white envelope sitting on the ledge. Taking it, she realized it had her name on it. She was suprized it hadn't blown away. Zavier's reply. Her eyes light up and a smile appeared on her face as she read. The closest friend she did have, was miles away.
Taking a quill and spare piece of parchment she began.

Zavier,

Yes, i have two brothers now, plus a sister. I don't get to see them though. They're staying at my grandparents.
It's just like you to be stuck in detention. You'd be one of the students if you were here that would make my prefect job difficult. (She laughed to herself as she wrote).
Things at Hogwarts have got strange again, and ive only been back a few days. Sometimes i wonder how i would get on in durmstrang, or beauxbatons but i doubt they'd take me.
I would love to see you in the holidays sometime. I know the time we have spent together already has been awesome. Maybe you could introduce me to your sisters?

Libby wasn't sure what else to write. What could she say? She folded up her letter and left the common room. She had to reach the owlery. She knew she wasn't in danger of anyone asking her what she was doing, people hardly noticed her.

(The fact people hardly notice her im going to use to her advance later. No one would suspect her of doing stuff xD)
