Mirror of Erised?

Figured it could be suggested, never seen it suggested.

Why not have one, either hidden in the castle somewhere or even in the RoR, so that one can stumble upon it but not every single student knows where it is and whatnot.
Thought it would be fun, but there is still the question...was there only one? Could the one be moved from Hogwarts Scotland to New Zealand in some mysterious bargaining? Etc etc.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion.

According to the books, there was only one Mirror of Erised and there was never any indication that another existed anywhere else. In the books, there is a very specific reason why the mirror is in Hogwarts Scotland, but there isn't really a valid reason that we could use to explain why Hogwarts Scotland would give or lend out the mirror to Hogwarts New Zealand. We are able to justify the use of other items, namely the sorting hat, but this is very different as the school doesn't need the mirror for anything. The mirror will continue to remain safely hidden in Hogwarts Scotland somewhere.
