- Melody has gone by a few different names in the past.
-as i child she was called Siobhan Flanagan
-from the age of eight when her parents disapeared she changed her name to Saoirse O'Connor as she liked the name Saoirse (pronounced Ser-sha) and O'connor was the name of the family who took her in as an extra child
when she left the family to attend collage she adopted a new name for both her and and their protection and she chose Melody Wilde. she picked melody as she loved music and wilde after oscar Wilde

- Melody is quite poitite and is often described as looking a little like a pixy. this is helped by her hair which is cut in short choppy layers and also her slightly gypsy way of dress.

- Mellody is a rather happy go lucky girl. she as a sort of bubbly warmth that she exudes to the people around her however she isn't particually talkative, prefering to let people know how she is and what se is feeling through her music. when it comes to friends she is loyal and a good firend

A basic history
-Born Siobhan Flanagan she was raised by her parents renowned elemental mages in a small town outside of cork in ireland. it was an enjoyable childhood doing what most young girls do. she went to school played with her friends and learned the violin which she loved. when she was around eight years old on an evening in june she was awaken in the middle of the night by her mother who told her to leave the house by the back door not to talk to anyone and to go to the field where a bunch of travellers were camping in preparation for a faire. to find a her old friend called rosie O'conner and give her a note stay the night with them and to take her violin though not to play it and some clothes for the next day. although she thought this was odd she followed the directions and did so and that night a terrible storm broke. the following morning she headed home with rosie and saw that her home had been totally wrecked in the storm there as the houses terraced on either side had been left. knowing something was amiss Rosie took Siobahan home and the band of travellers moved on. Siobhan was asked to go by a different name and she picked Saoirse (pronounced sear-she) and adopted Rosies last name of O'connor although she was upset she had missed the faire as she had been looking forward to the dancing and other festivities she was worried about her parents. rosie took her in as one of her own daughters and she spent the rest of her childhood as one of the travellers. moving as and when she needed to. She didn't attend magical school instead se was home schooled and learned to use magic and music together. although she never forgot her parents she started to see life with the troupe as her real life and family and thought of her childhood on cork as a pst part of her life. at the age of seventeen she wondered if there was more to music magic than she had learned thus far and after much deliberation decided to attend Zardosh Academy which she was aloud to do so long as she changed her name again as Rosie didn't want her being tracked down by the same wizards who killed her parents and who her new family was always running from. this time she picked a new name, Melody Wilde, she has just finished her first year at the college.
