Ana-Cole made her way out to the lawn. She had just recieved a letter from Emma.
Ana-Cole,
I have arrived at Hogwarts. I can't believe I am finally here. I am going to check out the Common room before doing anything else. I will meet you out in the lawn in a bit though around mid morning sounds good to me. I miss you so much and can't wait to see you.
                                                                                            Emma
Ana-Cole read over the letter once more as she sat down under her favorite shady tree. I can't believe she is finally here Ana-Cole thought as she stared out over the lawn watching the other students. Ana-Cole barely got any sleep last night and she was dreadfully tired but with the excitment of seeing her sister for the first time in about a year she refrained from nodding off. Ana-Cole sat back, relax, and waited for Emma to join her.

Emma finished up looking at the common room and made her way out to the lawn. "So many memories" She said to herself with a smile. Emma couldn't believe that she was back at Hogwarts. She couldnt' believe that she finally escaped the confusion and stress of her homelife. She couldn't believe that she was finally going to see Ana-Cole after all this time. Emma looked around to see where Ana-Cole could possibly be. She at first could not find her yet Emma remembered that Ana-Cole always loved to sit under her favorite tree. Emma went rather at a fast pace to look under the tree for Ana-Cole. Emma's eyes lite up when she saw Ana-Cole who looked to almost be falling asleep. Emma ran over to her sister. "Miss me?" she asked with a smile on her face looking down at Ana-Cole.

Ana-Cole now had her eyes closed. She felt so sleepy. "I won't fall asleep" She said to herself as she slowly difted farther and farther away into dreamland. All of a sudden Ana-Cole heard a voice say miss me. Ana-Cole opened her eyes right away already knowing that it was her sister's voice. "Emma" Ana-Cole said with excitment. Ana-Cole stood up. "of coarse I missed you. Did you miss me?" Ana-Cole asked reaching out to hug her sister. "it has been far too long" She said with a smile

"it has been too long" Emma said hugging her sister back. Finally she released from the hug and sat down next to the tree and looked up at the castle. "I missed this place. Everything about it" Emma said looking out at the other students. "I missed the students, you" Emma said looking up at Ana-Cole. "And dare I say I even missed the school work" Emma said with a small laugh.

Ana-Cole sat back down next to Emma. "You won't be saying that you miss the school work once classes start again" Ana-Cole said with a grin. "But I am glad you are back" Ana-Cole wanted to ask how everyone else was at home but she feared that that topic would make this light and airy conversation rather sad and morbid. "So what have you been up to?" Ana-Cole asked trying to keep a conversaton going but not knowing what to talk about. It had been so long and so much could have happened in the course of the time that they were apart. Ana-Cole did not know just where to start.

"Very true" Emma said thinking about the school work "But I would rather be here than at home" Emma said looking down right away when she realized that she had just brought up the topic. "But anyway" Emma said trying to cling onto a new topic "What havent' I been up to" She said with a laugh "there is so much time to cover" Emma said thinking back to what has happened the past year without bringing her family into the picture. "I went back to muggle school but trust me Ana-Cole it is nothing like this" Emma said "This school is so much more ....." Emma began trying to find the correct word "magical" She said with another small laugh. "I meet new friends and was a bit upset to leave them but I will still write to them. " Emma tried to think "Oh and I was finally made captain of the soccer team back home. thats why I came here so late I had to finish up my season of captain" Emma said with a proud smile. She had worked so many hard years to get that spot on the team it was a huge accomplishment for her. "What about you? What have you been doing?"

Ana-Cole looked at Emma when she metioned her rather being here than at home. Ana-Cole could tell that it was an extremely touchy subject and was glad that Emma quickly continued the conversation on a happier note. "You made Captain!" Ana-Cole said with excitment "Oh great job I can't believe it" Ana-Cole said thinking back to the year that had just passed and what she had done. "I haven't done anything that great" She said thinking "Classes and thats basically it" She said "I've met a few people too" She said with a smile. "But nothing that exciting" Ana-Cole said wishing she had more important news.

Emma smiled. She missed getting any sort of praise. Her parents were too busy fighting to even care. They did not attend even one of Emma's soccer games. Don't let it bother you It's fine your here at Hogwarts with Ana-Cole life is good Emma thought. "Classes seem to make up most of your time maybe I will not look forward to the school work then" Emma said with a smile. "but yeah.." Emma said not knowing what to say next. "Did you go to all the Quidditch matches?" Emma asked. Emma loved Quidditch. Emma actually loved every sport but she did miss Quidditch.

"no actually I didn't" Ana-Cole said "I am not as in too sports as you are Emma" She said giving Emma a playful push. Ana-Cole did not know what else to say. The question of her family was really bothering her. She had to ask. "So Emma how is the family doing?" Ana-Cole asked wondering how Emma would react.

"Oh yes I know I am the sporty one in the family" Emma said pushing Ana-Cole back in a playful manner also. Then Ana-Cole asked about the family. Emma remained silent for a long time. "Well its normal" Emma began "Well as normal as it possibly can be." Emma said now looking down at the ground "Mom and dad always fight. Connor stays in his room almost all the time. He hasn't spoken more than five words to me once I told him I was returning to Hogwarts. Justin is quiet all the time too. I don't think he understands what is going on" Emma explained. "Speaking of Connor how is that guy you told me about in your letters" Emma asked trying to change the topic.

Ana-Cole listened as Emma talked about the family. Ana-Cole really didn't know what else to say about it. She just really needed to know how things were holding up. When Emma metioned Conner. Ana-Cole blushed slightly but not enough to be noticed. "Well I am not sure. I havent' spoken to him in ages it seems" Ana-Cole said not really sure what was going on between them. Ana-Cole looked at the sky. it was starting to get dark. "It looks like it is going to rain maybe we should head back to the castle" Ana-Cole said.

"oh well everything will work out it always does" Emma said not knowing if she truly believed that everything in her own life would work out. Emma looked up at the sky when Ana-Cole said that it looked as if it was going to rain. "Yeah it does. Well we better go up" Emma said "It was nice seeing you again and we have to meet up some time again" Emma said with a smile.

"of course we will meet up again" Ana-Cole said with a smile. "But I will see you later then" Ana-Cole said as she began to walk up to the castle hoping to make it up there before it began to rain.

"Bye See you around" Emma said as she watched Ana-Cole walk up to the castle. Emma looked up at the sky and the clouds seemed to be clearing a bit. She decided to sit down and get a few more minutes of fresh air before heading up to the castles. The minutes that passed turned to hours. Emma finally decided to head up to the castle and maybe meet a few more people in the common room. Emma got up and made her way up to the castle that no matter how many times she said it she was ever so glad to be back.
