Alice sat down outside the shops with her book. It was getting to the good part and she was desperate to finish it so she could start another one. Having found her page and read half of it, Alice jumped. Someone had tapped her on her shoulder. She looked up, trying not to be too irritated and smiled at the girl looking down at her. "Hi!" She said, pushing thoughts about her book away and closing it. Putting it into her bag, she took another look at the girl. She looked about the same age as Alice and seemed to look quite friendly.

OOCOut of Character:
Yikes, it was hard to put Elliot into a situation where she would randomly tap someone on the shoulder! :erm:

Elliot had grown bored. Obsidian Harbour was not a place that generated a lot of excitement for her, being as she was surrounded by shopping; Elliot hated shopping. Still, she supposed, she had to explore this unknown territory. Elliot loved to explore and discover new things, and unless the shops had mazes to go through to get to the clothes, Elliot wasn't that interested. Walking through Obsidian Harbour, Elliot spotted a familiar brunette head sitting outside one of the shops. An excitement aroused in her, and she half ran to the girl she recognized. Tapping her on the shoulder, her mood dropped. "Oh, hey! Sorry, I thought you were someone I knew. Obviously not though." Elliot stated. "Anyway, do you want to go for a walk or something? I'm so bored." Elliot exclaimed.

OOC: Sorry, i hoped you wouldn't mind. Loads of people have done it for me so i figured it wouldn't matter. Sorry :(

Alice smiled at the girl. "Um, yeh sure. If you want. Im Alice, Alice Hills. Its nice to meet you." She said kindly, completely understanding the mistake that had been made. Picking up her bag, she started walking with the girl. "Are you going to Hogwarts New Zealand then?" She asked, figuring it was safe, considering they were in a wizard village.

Elliot smiled back at the girl. "Hey Alice, Alice Hills! I'm Elliot. I have a question." Elliot said. "Why do you say it's nice to meet me if you haven't actually met me yet? What if you discover you actually don't like me, and figure it wasn't actually nice to meet me?" Elliot asked curiously. Elliot was the type of girl that would just speak out what is on her mind, honestly. She never beats around the bush and isn't too concerned with what people thought of that. Elliot skipped a few steps in front of Alice and started walking backwards, so she was facing her. "Yep, I am! Are you? Know what house you'll be in yet?" Elliot asked.

Alice smiled at this girls curiosity. "Well, i don't know really. I suppose its just habit. I think i sets off the conversation with a good start so i suppose i just say it. But im sure it is nice to meet you." She said quickly. "Um i don't know really. I would really like to be in Ravenclaw but im not sure where i will be put. How about you?" She asked, smiling. It was nice for once not to always start the conversation off. She thought it made her seem to eager but she did like to chat and it was nice that she found someone so eager to chat as well.

"Well then!" Elliot pleasantly replied. "I'm sure it is nice to meet you too!" Elliot responded. Being an only girl in the family, Elliot wasn't too sure with how to act around this girl. Most of the girls that Elliot had met have been annoying ones, where their only concern was causing drama. But at the moment, Elliot was bored. She figured that she may as well be friendly, but if things turned sour, she would punch the girl in the face and walk away. Elliot knew that neither of the two girls would be happy with that conclusion.
"I don't really see myself in any other house but Gryffindor. I suppose it's definitely my bravery that makes me think this way and I'm pretty certain that I won't get Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I don't think I'll get Hufflepuff either, I'm not much of a hard worker. . ." Elliot responded. In the distance she saw a huge tree behind a fence. She turned to Alice, exhilaration and excitement taking over her. "Race you to that tree? I bet you I can beat you!" She exclaimed. Before waiting for an answer, Elliot's feet took off, and her laugh flew out behind her as she smoothly jumped over the fence and grabbed a hold of a branch before lifting herself up and looking back to see where Alice had gone.

Alice smiled at Elliot's answer. She could tell that this conversation wasn't going to best of ways and that she hadn't really got Elliot's attention. Elliot mentioned running and Alice groaned inwardly. If there was anything she hated, it was running. "Ok." She said halfheartedly but her answer was lost as Elliot had taken off. She ran amazingly, in a style that Alice would have loved to have. Shrugging, she set off after her and tried to catch up. Her bag was bumping into her hip as she ran and she knew that she had no technique. Elliot had got to the tree and Alice smiled, still trying to catch up. When she arrived she was quite tired. "Sorry," She panted, "I can't run very well." She said trying to explain herself and not to let Elliot think that she was pathetic. "I hated PE at school." She said quietly, trying not to think of the cold, wet days when she was forced outside into the mud to run around a field. In her opinion - it was utterly pointless.
