Logan sat on a window ledge on the fifth floor by an open window It seemed like everyone was outside and he didn't feel like being around so many people right now and this floor was practically empty right now and he found it so peaceful to be able to sit down with a book and read. It was a Divination book. Since his tea leaf reading class he had become somewhat interested in tea leaves. He had learned that all his hard work may pay off and that he could get a girl friend again. He had not had a girl friend since Lily and that had ended at the beginning of his second year. He wasn't looking for a girl friend as he was more concerned with his grades and doing well but if he happened to stumble in to a girl who he liked and wanted to date then he would not turn down the opportunity. He liked the feeling of having someone to old you when you have had a bad day and someone to talk to when he had a problem. Someone he could take care of and love. Sure he had his family for all that but it was no where near the same thing to him.

As a draft blew through the window and through his hair, Logan took a deep breath and took in the smell of the fresh air. It always smelled so sweet and the higher you were the better. He liked being on the seventh floor and taking a deep breath. It was truly the small things in life that mattered most sometimes. Turning to the next page in his book Logan yawned as he read, not having a good night sleep for the second day in row.

Georgiana stepped out of the common room with her guitar in hand. It was always to loud in there to even think, knowing a place she could be in peace she headed down the fifth floor. It was either that or make the long journey to the grounds, and there were plenty of people outside to bother her there. She stepped onto the landing of the fifth floor and looked around. There was a breeze coming through and she began to walk towards were the breeze was coming. She noticed a boy on the window sill next to an opened window when she turned the corner. "Oh, I'm Sor-. Logan?" She asked as she continued got closer, she reconized the Ravenclaw from when she met him down stairs during the first semester. Nothing really come from the meeting as she had left to find a quieter place to practice other then the Abandon Classroom.

She looked around wondering if her secret practice spot had been found by anyone else. Here and the North Tower were the quiet places in the castle, that she enjoyed. Georgiana leaned her guitar against the wall and placed her shoulder bag next to it, she hoped she was welcomed to stay in the corridor with him, sometimes she wanted to be in a quiet place but it was nice to have someone there if you needed to talk. For some reason she had the thought that he needed to talk and she was open to listen as always.

Logan looked around to his side as he heard footsteps echoing around the great corridors. A slight sigh escaped his perfect lips at this. Looked like the peace that was his time alone could well be over, then again they could just have been passing by to get somewhere else. It could be a Professor going to their Lesson or to the classroom. Anyway it could have been one of his friends, like Jeremy or even Lily. Now he had made up with her he did consider her a kind of friend. Apart from those two he didn't really have that many friends. He really needed to get out more and make some friends. Having only two real friends was a little sad now that he actually thought about it properly. He sighed again but this time it was not for the person in the hallway.

When his eyes landed on the young girl who had been walking towards him, it did take a minute. He smiled at her as she said his name. "Hey there." He said watching her place her guitar and bag by the wall. Lily used to lay the guitar. He missed her so much at time. Still he was over that, that was when he was a Blackwood. Now he was a Stone and this was his new start. "Its been more than a little while. How are you?" He said with a grin. The last time they had met she had had to rush off somewhere, as had he. But at least he had someone to talk to now. Maybe if he tried well enough, a good friend. Despite her only being a first year, he didn't hold discriminations like that. A friend was a friend at the end of the day.

Georgiana smiled leaning against the opposite side of the sill then he was leaning on. Her face was hinted at pink after knowing he reconized her alittle as well, and to the fact she remembered his name. Logan did seem to leave an impression in her mind, but she wasn't sure if it was his looks being he was very good looking no doubt part veela like it seemed a few students were in the school; or if it was that he was the first person who wanted to know if she sounded any good on her guitar, most people ignored her. She glanced down at his book curious to what he was reading, trying to concentrate on something else. Kayden was more of the book nerd who would be interested in books people were reading however, Logan's book just looked like a book for a class. Kayden really shoud have been homeschooled he could be at least to year three by now, Georgiana thought of her brother. She glanced at her guitar, she hadn't practice in a while do to studying but she could wait a while longer to talk to someone who could be a friend at the end of it.

"I'm doing alright. I can't believe how much work I have for classes already," she said genuely suprised at the amount of work the professors had been making them do lately. Though she was happy with the Os she was getting on homeworks. "How have you been?" She questioned in returned, he seemed liked he needed a day to relax, which was most likely what he was trying to do before she came down the hallway. Her eyes peered in question to the older boy across from her, she really disliked the fact that even though she was born in the same year as most of the second years her birthday was just a few days after the cut off date and they had to wait another year.

A smile appearing on his beautiful face as Georgiana mention the homework load hat she was getting in her classes. He did have to admit there was a lot of it for him too but he always got it done by the end of the day and handed in so it wasn't as bad for him because he enjoyed it. He enjoyed the theory lessons better than the practical ones sometimes. He knew it wasn't normal as the other students hated theory and writing but the practical was what they always looked forward too. Logan just liked the feeling of working hard for something. Knowing that when he did well he would feel as if he had earned that reward. "Yeah work loads are quite a lot but I enjoyed sitting in the library in a quiet place and just getting on with them. I usually have them done and handed in on the first day of getting the homework." He said as he dog eared the page that he was on and closed the book. He was now glad for the distraction from a friendly face. At least he would have someone to talk to, even it would only be a short while in case she had somewhere to be. He hoped not as he had nowhere to go any time soon and would much rather talk to a, well he wasn't sure if he knew her well enough to be able to call her his friend. He would rather talk to his acquittance than sit alone reading about Divination. For once he found that his social life was more entertaining. That was down to the fact that he had been up reading for some hours now and his head was hurting from it all and he needed a break for the rest of the day at least. He would have to wear glasses soon if he carried on like this and they were something that he did not want to have. They would make him look more of a nerd than he already was. He was only just able to keep the bullies at bay with his Veela looks but with glasses he would probably get beaten up a lot although when his cousin was a Professor and his best friend was the Gryffindor head of house and his brother was one huge muscular seventh year Logan knew that they would not try anything that silly. He was well protected.

When she asked him how he was, Logan had to think for a second. How was he really. He was tired. That was a given. He was curious, for his divination results. He was excited, for the holidays. He didn't really know how he was actually feeling. Though Logan had never been good with his emotions like that. Always kept them at bay as they got in the way sometimes. Like fear or love. Although he liked it when he loved someone. Not able to know how to really properly answer Georgiana's question he said. "Im good thanks. Looking forward to the holidays though for sure. I cant wait to spend my time with my whole family together at the same time." He said with a grin. He didn't count his parents as his family any more, his family were those he lived with. Lowan, Adele, Riley and Mark. They had been more family to him since he had met them then his parents had been his entire life. "Have you got anything planned for the holiday?" He asked her wondering what she was going to be doing. He hoped she would be doing something fun that she would enjoy. He had hated coming home from school to an empty house and only getting to see his parents for like an hour or two a day. And even then they would have been working and not have time for him. At least that was all over now and he would always have someone to talk to and spend his time with

Georgiana smiled lightly at his smile, she hadn't seen to many happy faces for awhile. Everyone seemed to be down, excited for break but tired of being stuck at school. "You finish homework the day you get it? You need to step outside the library more, there's a thing called procastination. Wonderful thing it is," she said with a laugh. She was most likely one of the worst people to talk to about homework, always doing it the hour before class started, lucky for her she never had more then one class a day. Georgie moved one leg up onto the window sill and sat with the one leg dangling down towards the floor and the other crossed in front of her. She tilted her head and leaned against the wall and looked out of the window, a nice breeze hit her face and she could the screams and laughs of the kids below, she had the sudden erge to write a song about this moment but it could wait till later.

"Family time is always nice, my brother and I are going back the reservation, my dad will be away on work. It'll be summer at home, so that'll be nice," she said looking back over at Logan once he began talking again after thinking about her question. She wasn't excited about having to take care of her brother and sister once she got back, that was for sure. But there was something about living in a place that had less restrictions then the rest of the world that always made her happy to return to. It was the leisure of the lives they had which made her feel free. Much like how she felt in the school, she knew she would be happy to be in either place. "It's Georgiana, by the way, in case you forgot," she said with a smile coming back from imanaging her home in her thoughts.

Logan chuckled at her joke. He probably did need to get out of the library once in a while but then he would rush he work more then it would not be as good as he knew that it could be. He was a bit of a perfectionist so it had to be good and he had to spend time on it. Still he didn't want her knowing that. "Yeah I know. Il keep that in mind next time I go there." He said smiling at her. Logan was the the of boy who liked to keep some things about himself secret. He may have been a nice boy to be around and tale to but there were some things that were not meant for sharing with the world. Although most things in his life he didn't mind talking about as there was nothing really abnormal about his life that needed hiding. He was Veela but it would be quite hard to hide something like that from someone unless he wore a bag over his head or made a polyjuice potion and pretended to be someone else.

"Yeah i like spending time with my family. I was recently adopted by my brother and not im live with him, my cousin, his wife and child. It sound like a lot of people but we all get on fine and there is plenty of room in the house for us. Im just glad i have a family who really love me now." He said looking down at his hands as he linked them together. Love was something which had lacked a lot in his life but now it was not. He loved the feeling of being loved by people. It made him feel wanted and important. "I remember your name don't worry." He laughed as he rolled her eyes. He hadn't but it would seem nicer if he said that he did. At least he had recognized her face from their last meeting. That was something he guessed.

Georgiana wondered if he would actually take her suggestion next time he went to the Library, considering he had a book for a class in hand it seemed more then likely that he wouldn't. She didn't feel the need to corrupt him of his good study habits either, though she figured thats why they hadn't bumped in to each other till now since the first time they met, he was most likely in the Library studing and she was off in the castle wandering, no where near the Library. "Your Brother?" She questioned making sure she had heard right, though they were in a quiet place with no noise around them at the moment she wanted to make sure.

"My Native name means I'm the bringer of peace and love to my family and friends," she didn't know why she blurted it out but she figured it must have been she hadn't met a person before who had such beauty in their face. Almost like he really was part veela and it was messing up her mind when she looked at him. Georgiana bit her toungue hoping she wouldn't blurt more things out, if she did she'd most likely leave in embarrasment to practice her guitar but she enjoyed talking with Logan and didn't want to leave and be alone.

Logan pushed a bit of stray hair out of his face. his medium length hair was sometimes a bit of a problem, but he liked it. He though it made him look a bit more tidier than his brother who liked to spike his up. Mark was a real woman pleaser and Logan often eased him saying that with the amount of time he takes sorting himself out before a date with Alana, she would have already eaten and left out of boredom. He really did spend a lot of time grooming himself. Logan was more of a what ever goes sort of boy. He knew he wouldn't suit short hair and he didn't care. "Yep my brother. I only really met him a the end of my first year but we grew really close. And because i wasn't happy with my parents he adopted me when he turned 17. He is a seventh year and lives with Professor Smith, like me." He said rather proudly. He loved Riley, he was so fun to be around. He knew where Mark got his high ego from. Riley's ego was huge and he didn't know how Adele put up with it as well as she did.

As Georgiana said what her name meant Logan raised his eye brows. He had no idea what had sprung that one to come out but he guessed she had a reason, conversation maybe. "Oh erm, interesting. I don't actually know what my name means. Never really interested me enough to find out." He said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "What's your favourite lesson?" Logan asked her, changing the topic away from names to try and avoid other little out bursts which she seemed to regret.

Georgiana was glad her bangs were clipped out of her face so she didn't have any trouble unlike Logan. She found it interesting that he lived with his brother and a Professor. His story sounded alot like her own families story, however it was her mom who left them and her father had to get extra jobs to care for them. Him not being a wizard didn't help, the three kids, her brother and sister and herself, spent alot of time with their grandmother from their mother's side. Though they didn't know what had happened to her, they knew they could count on the cabin where their mom grew up as a place they were always welcome to stay.

"It must be the different customs, the chief servays the baby for a few weeks and then discusses with the parents, or in my case granmother, on the name that is given to us. Small Dove is mine and Red Wolf is my brother," she said calmly knowing she had better explain further so he wouldn't be confused. However her cheeks did turn red with his neck scratch, and she moved her back against the jarred window so she could avoid looking at him. She wanted to up and leave in that moment, not used to being embarassed infront of people. "Actually, I enjoy Professor Smith's lessons the best," she said with a small smile. It was a true statement, it was the only class she actually wanted to go to these days.

Logan had to admit that what Georgie told him about her chief looking after the babies then deciding what to call them with their parents was a little odd but he was open minded with other peoples way of life and would not point fun at it as it was not fair. "Woah that sounds really interesting. I guess the chief is a very important person where you live. Its kind of like how Indians lived." He said all interested in that fact. He liked muggle history and such and often read book about it. He knew a bit but not loads. He would learn more in his muggle studies class that was for sure. But that was more their way of life and not their history.

A big grin crossed Logans face as she mentioned that she liked Riley's lessons. He also liked them, he had a way of making a lesson fun and getting the information across so that everyone could understand it. That was a trait which Logan admired about his cousin. "Yeah he is a pretty good professor and I like his lessons too." He said happily to Georgiana. He knew that marks new goal was to be a professor and Logan admired that about him. Although Logan wanted to do something in the ministry or something to do with transfiguration. "What is your favourite lesson then?" He asked her curiously

Georgiana cracked a smile at what he said, obivously he couldn't tell her heritage by her looks. The she start to laugh throwing her head back slightly finding it ridicuously funny. "Oh but I am Indian! Native American that is, but only half my father is English," she said with a chuckle. The chief was there to communicate with Mother Earth, he was the second most important person in the village, just underneath the Tribe's Mother, or the eldest women. "Don't worry, I know I don't look it, I understand how you could mistake what I was saying," her smile still present on her face.

Georgie rested her head on her knee and grined as he agreed with her about Professor Smith. She had a feeling he would enjoy Smith the best, but she could have been wrong. "Oh I had him first semester, but I really enjoyed the dueling. It's not something we get to do everyday," she said and with a second thought she added, "at school." She remembered her time over the past break running after a man and stopping him with the spells she had learned from Professor Smith, she was glad she had taken the class and saved the boy. Though she still got nightmares from that dark cold night and now she closed her eyes for a second trying to get rid of the thought as goosebumps appeared on her arms.

Logan laughed and put his head in his hands as he laughed with her. He should have really know that about her because of that tradition. He felt a little silly now that he had said that. "Ah well that explains why its what the Indians do then." He said taking his head out from his palms and looking her her, with a huge smile on his face. "Don't worry I wont be making the mistake again any time soon Im not really one to make such basic mistakes like that." He said leaning his head against the wall.

Nodding as he listened to her say that she enjoyed the duelling in his lessons because she didn't do it everyday in school. He wondered if she did it out side of school. It would be a bit wrong if she did because the use of magic under age was against the law. "You dont use magic out of school do you. Its illegal." He said, almost gasped it. He didn't want to see her in any kind of ministry trouble like that. He had never used magic outside of school before and until he had left Hogwarts he was going to make sure it stayed that way. If he wanted to work in the ministry of magic then he would need a clean record

Georgiana kept her smile on her face but his line 'its what the indians do' got her thinking. She knew there were people in the world mainly in America who disliked the Native Americans still, and some who were deeply involved with restoring their heritage, but he thought that was how they used to live. Georgiana wondered how many people knew that they still had their traditions intact adn how many people thought of indians as the ones who killed the pilgrims but also lived for times of peace. "Good," she said with a light laugh, she didn't doubt his words. A few of her brother's friends had become very curious of their life back home once he mentioned it so she wondered if Logan would also be that sort of person.

She froze when he mentioned it being illegal to do magic outside of school, of course she ahd known that but saving the boy seemed more important to her then being put in Azkaban. "I, uh," she mumbled unsure of how to explain herself to a person she had only met once before and then they had barely talked. Georgiana looked away from him, instead she found ehrself looking out the window. "Over Christmas break, my dad and I went to London, he had to go on buisness trip and I've always wanted to visit the UK. He, I, uhm," slight pause. "He had a late night meeting or something so I was at the door of the first floor hotel room after he left about to shut it when I noticed a boy around my age running, he had fear in his eyes. I wanted a few seconds and then a man maybe around 30 something came after him with a knife and gun. I had my wand in my pocket so I just ran after the man. They ran into a dark tunnel and I ran after them. I used spells Professor Smith taught us in class that first semester to knock out the man and bind him. I saved his life, and I just, the ministry doesn't know! Considering I was in England and the Ministry that is in charge of me is in America they must have never found out, or the laws are different, I just, I don't know," she said the entire time looking out the window her eyes haunted by the dark night that was always featured in her dreams at night. She still couldn't believe she did it in the first place now she hoped Logan wouldn't judge and move on from her, he seemed like a person who could be a very good friend for her. A few silent tears came from her eyes, considering every night she asked Spirits to not let her get in trouble.

Logan shifted his position to get comfortable on the hard stone window sill where he was sat. His bum slowly going numb. He could tell that when she began to explain when and why she had used magic out side of school, it was going to be a long talk. He didn't mind though, he liked the sound of her voice. He leant forward and listened to her, shuffling across to sit closer to her. It sounded like a traumatic time that she had gone through. Some people were just strange and messed up in the head. He just felt sorry for Georgie that she had to go through something like that. But if the ministry had not taken action then they may not have found out. He hoped that was the case any way. He stayed quiet when she finished, not exactly sure what to say to it all. When he saw her crying though, he gave her a hug. "Hey, its ok. You had no other choice. Im sure if they have not said something by now they don't know about it." He said rubbing her arm trying to comfort her. He hated seeing girls cry like that. He didn't know what she had gone through back then but he could imagine what it must have been like. He was just thankful that nothing like that had happened to him. He was also glad that Riley had actually been a good Professor and taught her the binding spell. "If you ever need someone to talk to, im here for you ok." He said to her quietly.

Georgiana brushed the tears from her face slightly embarassed that they were even coming out of her eyes in the first. She enjoyed his hug however, it was comfortable like he just knew exactly what she needed to feel better. "I hope they don't," she said quietly though her normal self was coming back to her and she cracked a smile at him when he offered to listen to her. He was the first person to ever say that to her honestly. She was always the listener, the person people came to, the one who could understand how they felt even if she never experienced their problems first hand. Georgiana returned his hug glad to have finally told someone about that night. Though it was sort of an awkward hug considering they were sitting on a window sill, her bottom was starting to go numb. But she knew then she had found another friend at school.

Logan smiled softly as he rested his cheek on her head. His arms still tightly around her to comfort her. He knew that she probably hoped that she didn't get found out more than anyone else. "They wont." He said backing up her hopes. It wasn't like the ministry to be so delayed on something like this. Although things would be busy right now. Logan shook his head. What did he knew about ow the ministry worked. He was only 13 after all. "If you want I could talk to a friend of mine about it. He works in the ministry and if i keep your name out he could give a bit of advice about it." He said leaning his head down to see her face.

She smiled full of bliss, her fears had been alsmot to the point where she would have freaked out in the most random of moments, now they were slowly dying. Georgiana didn't know what the Ministry actually did to students who used magic outside of school, but she did know she never wanted to find out. She didn't regret using the magic that was for certain she was glad she helped the boy, even though he turned out to be Slytherin, he was still nice and owed her he wouldn't tell anyone. "Don't you think that he'll think it's you and then you'll get a firm talking too as adults like to give kids. And it's possible you'll get in trouble with the ministry?" She asked glancing up at him when she noticed he was looking at her. Looking down the corridor she saw her guitar and bag laying against the window and suddenly felt gald she hadn't run away to practice again.

Logan shook his head as he listened to her talk to him about the ministry. "Nah. This guy is a friend of the family and Riley that he owes him a few favours. Il just use one of the favours. Besides he is a cool guy and he knows i wouldn't do something like that." He said confidently to her. He knew that he couldn't just tell anyone about it, he wasn't that dumb. He also knew that Riley knew people back from his younger years. And right now Logan was glad for Rileys strange ways back then. "If you want me to i will. If not I wont." He said smiling at her. He didn't mind either way. "So what can you play on the guitar?" He asked her changing the topic.

Georgiana smiled at his confidence, it was something alot of people didn't have these days. "If you trust him, and you can't tell him my name," she said pulling away a bit from the hug to point her finger in warning at him. Though she was pretty sure if they dueled he would beat her instantly, being two years above her. Hopefully nothing bad would come from letting Logan talk to the man, but all she could do was hope. Georgiana looked at her guitar and thought she knew plenty of songs, ones that had all different kinds of meanings but she wasn't sure what was the right one to play now. "Oh, you know, songs by various artists I'm really into muggle artists from back in the late 00's," she said knowing her love of old artist was from listening to all the old cds her dad played around the house when she was younger.
