Just a baby, taking tiny steps into the world, unravelling a future only time can predict, brave and beautiful is the heart of a child,
growing more intelligent every second of the day. One day, I'll be someone, I'll make something of myself. Nothing can stop such an
eager heart from fulfilling it's wishes, nothing will prevent me from being who I'm supposed to be.

[Full Name] Matilda Bea Honey Undersee
[Name Meaning] Matilda, means 'Strength and might in battle'. This gives the impression that Matilda is strong and bold, yet also a little feisty and willing to stand up for herself.
Bea, means 'bringer of joy'. People with this name are often good team workers, and are so involved in doing well and achieving things that they forget about their personal lives.
Honey, means 'sweet'. Also, people with this name like to have a solid foundation upon which they can build their lives. They value truth and discipline, and will often be overly cautious of others. The name gives the impression that Matilda is a very sweet girl.
Undersee, is the family name. Matilda received it from her Father, as her Mother changed her surname when they married. She would preferably like to keep the name when she marries, as she loves the sound of it and it reminds her of the beach.
[Age] 10 Years of age (currently 10 years, 10 months)
[Birth Date] March 2nd, 2033
[Race] Part-Goblin
[Gender] Female
[Place of Birth] St Mungo's.
[Area of Residence] Ginostra (village), Italy.
[Heritage] 50% French, 50% Italian. The French is from her Father, and the Italian is from her Mother, who upon meeting her future Husband on holiday, decided to move to Paris full time. Soon after Matilda's birth, however, they moved to Italy to get away from the busy city and to make a change for themselves.
[Blood Status] Mixed blood
[Blood Type] A-
[Occupation] Student at an Italian Primary school
[Dialects] Italian and English. Since the family knew Matilda would be attending Hogwarts in New Zealand, plus the fact they spoke fluently themselves, they decided to teach her English. It is also taught at her current school, and being a keen learner she is already fluent in both languages.
[Writing Hand] Left. Matilda always felt uncomfortable using her right hand, and for some reason much prefers using her left. Her handwriting when writing with her right hand is scrawled and messy, compared to very neat with her left.
[Wand] Currently does not have one, however she crafted a small stick into a wand for the time being, as she feels left out in her family.
She also cannot understand why you should not do magic outside of the wizarding world, as it could make every day life a lot easier.
[Relationship Status] Too young to care
[Sexual Orientation] Too young to care</FONT>

It is often hard to find someone who will truly accept you for who you are. However, everything you fear, everything you want and every
action you make defines you as a person, and those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. You will be loved for who you
are, and when you find it you will be eternally happy.

[Favourite Colour] Navy Blue. It feels relaxing and calming when she looks at something in this colour. When clothes shopping, she tends to pick clothes that are any shade of blue, though Navy is preferable.
[Favourite Number] 4. It is the number of leaves on a lucky four leaf clover and it reminds Matilda of finding one when she was seven. She still has it in a special jewellery box in her room, and since then she could have sworn things started to look up. For instance, the day after she found it, she had been told she was a Witch and would be attending a Wizarding school called Hogwarts.
[Favourite Name] Abby. Matilda is sure she will call her child Abby if she has a baby girl.
[Favourite Day] Sunday. It's the most relaxing day of the week, and Matilda has plenty of time to do her homework without having to worry about going anywhere.
[Favourite Season] Summer. She loves the warm summer nights in Italy, though sometimes she agrees it can get a little too hot. She copes with the heat well, and doesn't find it unpleasant unless it is extreme.

[Favourite Food] Blueberries. Not only are they blue(!), they are juicy, tasty and go very well when paired with a warm Summer's evening.
[Favourite Animal] Unicorn. Though she has never seen one, she thinks they are wonderful animals, and upon hearing that they really did exist and had amazing magical properties, she adores them even more and cannot wait to see one some day.

[Fears]

[*] Being lost. Matilda likes to know where she is at all times, and under no circumstances would she be happy if she did not know the way back to safety</COLOR>
[*] Failing. One of Matilda's flaws is that she cannot accept when she has done something wrong. It will often bring her to tears, whether it's failing a test or failing to do the right thing
[*] Blood. Matilda has a fear of blood for reasons she cannot explain. However, upon the sight of it, she will most likely pass out and be of no use whatsoever to whoever needed help

[Aspirations]

[*] See a unicorn. It seems silly, but it is one thing that Matilda must do before she dies, or she will truly regret it. She thinks they are wonderful, though doesn't let on to others as she feels they would tease her for it
[*] Be somebody. Matilda really wants to be good at what she does, no matter what it is. When she grows up, she wants to be famous for doing her job so well and being so clever
[*] Write a novel. Though it is not one of her strongest points, Matilda does enjoy writing, and would love to write a very long story some day
[*] Be creative. Matilda LOVES art, sports and other hands on activities. Despite being very academic, she much prefers doing things with her hands, building something from nothing and impressing others with what she has achieved

[Strengths]

[*] Art. Matilda loves painting, drawing and writing, and is particularly skilled in painting. Writing is just a hobby, not a skill, however she hopes to refine it as she grows up
[*] Academic work. She finds it extremely easy to learn, as her memory is good and she has an eager mind when it comes to learning new things. Learning excites her, and she thinks she would make a good Ravenclaw (having heard about the houses from her Mother)
[*] Sport. Matilda cannot wait to start Quidditch, as though her fear of blood usually prevents her from doing dangerous activities, she just could not miss such an amazing opportunity

[Weaknesses]

[*] Friendship. Matilda is very socially awkward and shy, as she is bullied in her school for being top of her class and for being so short. She fears this will happen again at Hogwarts, and therefore will be so cautious about choosing her friends that she may end up with none at all
[*] Confidence. She lacks something that many people do - confidence. Around her well chosen friends, Matilda is bright and comfortable, however around new people or faced with a crowd, she clams up and finds it very hard even to talk, and may stutter and shake

When you fall, when you need someone to lean on, I'll be there for you. Don't ever doubt that my love for you reaches as far as the stars
and back again. I will never let you go, and you will always be in my heart no matter what happens. You are everything to me, and I will not
forget all the times you have been there when you need someone to love you.

Hey another really great development! Enjoyed reading it, and I'm really interested in the idea of part-goblins, and how she might be even outcast from wizarding society due to the mix of blood, depending on others, anyway, I just have a few question to help you sort of develop further!

1. If Matilda was to not manage to get in Ravenclaw, would she be upset? Which house after Ravenclaw would she prefer to be in and why?
2. Which house do you think she would be able to best develop in? And Why?
3. Which house do you think she'd have the most problem with? And Why?
4. How close is Matilda to her cousins?
5. What height do you think she would grow to when she's an adult?
6. How close is Matilda to her parents?
7. How does Matilda feel about her height? Is it something that upsets her?
8. If she had the ability to change her height would she? If so, why? If not, Why?
9. What is her all time favourite meal?
10. What is her favourite muggle novel? Can be kids or Adult, and why?
11. What drew her to art in the first place?
12. Who is her favourite artist? And Why?
13. Has the fact that she lives in Italy, helped her creativity and art?
14. Why has she chosen to attend Hogwarts New Zealand rather than say, Beauxbatons, which is closer?
15. Does Matilda wish she had any siblings? Younger or older?

Thanks!

Thanks again, Emzies! I adore part goblins and the ways that people view them; some people think they're cute, others like you say would cast them aside and think badly of them. I'm going to reply OOC!

1. If Matilda was to not manage to get in Ravenclaw, would she be upset? Which house after Ravenclaw would she prefer to be in and why? Matilda heard about the houses from her Father and read more about them in his old books about the Wizarding World from when he himself attended Hogwarts. Upon reading these, she discovered Ravenclaw. To Matilda, it feels more like her home, where she belongs, than a school House. She would be extremely upset if she did not get in, since her love of learning (and the colour blue) leads her to love this house. Being here would also mean she could be with other people her age who also shared a love of learning, and she would be welcomed by them instead of pushed away as she is in the Muggle world. Her next choice of house would be Slytherin, as she is rebellious and ambitious due to her upbringing. She has a huge desire to achieve things so that she does not have to live the life of her parents, and is also always trying to do everything right.

2. Which house do you think she would be able to best develop in? And Why? I had to think about this one, but probably Ravenclaw. Since the main reason she is so excited to attend Hogwarts (besides getting away from her home) is due to her eagerness to learn, she would not only develop in character, but also in her mind. Plus, she believes that most of her friends - if she is able to make any - will be in this house, and she will therefore be helped with developing her social skills in this house.

3. Which house do you think she'd have the most problem with? And Why? Hufflepuff. Matilda finds it very hard to make and keep friends, not only because of her height, but also because she has never had much social contact with people her age before, and she is also over cautious of everyone she meets. Since she was bullied in her Primary school, she now believes that everyone who tries to talk to her is only out to hurt her or backstab her when the moment is right. She has not yet experienced true friendship, and will find it very hard to at first. Her height is also an issue when it comes to friendship, as others are not always understanding and see her as a mutation or a freak.

4. How close is Matilda to her cousins? Matilda only meets her cousins at Christmas, when the entire
family gathers at her parent's house (since it is the largest in the family) and shares a meal together. She treasures the moments when she is finally allowed to get down from the table and chat to them, however she does not have long to converse with them before they have to leave. They are the only people who have taken an interest in Matilda instead of pushed her away, however since Matilda has no way to contact them once they have left, she is not very close to them. She would love it, however, if she could be closer to them, as they all share her goblin blood and she feels a little more relaxed around them than other people. Once, Nephrolepis sent her a letter by owl, but she never had the chance to read it or find out who it was from since her Mother burned it in their fireplace.

5. What height do you think she would grow to when she's an adult? Most likely around the same height as her oldest cousin, Rue, since she was this height at Matilda's age. Rue is around 3"5. Since Matilda's grandfather was a goblin, her Father is half goblin making her a quarter. For this reason, she and Rue are probably a little taller than most half goblins, however 3"5 is still very short for someone of Rue's age. (I don't know the exact measurements of someone their height, so it's easier to just say that she is always at just over waist height of someone her age. So she is currently just over waist height of a normal 10 year old).

6. How close is Matilda to her parents? This question has a different reply depending on how you word it. How close is Matilda to her parents? Not very close at all. How close are Matilda's parents to their daughter? Very close. The thing is, her parents show their love for their daughter by not letting her out of their sight. It is mainly her Mother who holds this belief, but since her Father is usually working at Beauxbatons, he doesn't have very much of a say in things. However, he loves Matilda as much as his wife does, and he will agree with whatever she wishes for their daughter. Matilda's Mother, Cinzia, was told that she could not have children and would never be able to. If she wanted a child, she would either have to adopt or use unnatural means to conceive; which is why when they found out she was pregnant, they were thrilled. Matilda is their 'miracle baby', and if anything should happen to her they would be nothing. However, their idea of love and kindness is to avoid putting her in ANY danger whatsoever, even if that means keeping her indoors unless it is absolutely necessary that she leaves (to go to school, for example). She is not allowed contact with friends, relatives or anyone in between, as her parents think it will only get her hurt. They do not want Matilda to attend Hogwarts, and also do not know about her intelligence and capabilities. However, when the time comes, it will not be for them to decide and they will have to reluctantly allow her to leave. Matilda, however, is not close to her parents at all. She understands their views but finds it extremely hard to respect them, especially when everyone else is outside playing with their friends or texting each other, and Matilda is stuck at home with nothing to do and nobody to talk to. Personally, she cannot wait to attend Hogwarts and finally be rid of her family for a while.

7. How does Matilda feel about her height? Is it something that upsets her? Naturally, Matilda does not like being the height that she is. However, if people were to respect her for it, she would probably feel differently. Since many people in the Muggle world have criticized and bullied Matilda about her height, she is consequently ashamed of being the way she is, and often believes that what they say about her is true (that she is deformed, or a 'failed abortion'). Though Matilda is intelligent, it is often hard to see the truth when faced with bullies, and the more they taunt her with lies, the more she believes them and the harder it becomes for her to be happy about the way she is.

8. If she had the ability to change her height would she? If so, why? If not, Why? If asked this question right now, Matilda would reply yes. This is because she would love to be rid of her 'deformity' and feel like a normal human being for once. It was also prevent the awkward conversations she has to put up with when children at school ask her about her height. However, if asked the very same question in a few years time, the answer would probably be quite different. By then, Matilda may have learned to accept herself and be happy for who she was born as. She will also (hopefully) realize that people in the Wizarding World are more accepting than Muggles as they understand that people have goblin blood. Some people may even see her as cute or adorable, depending on their ability to understand others.

9. What is her all time favourite meal? Pasta salad. Though Matilda is not concerned about her weight, she has read a lot about the body and understands about the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. For this reason, she does not often eat unhealthily and her favourite meals always contain vegetables. It is lucky that she likes the taste of them, as otherwise she would find it harder to stay healthy. So she not only likes this meal because it is healthy, but also because she loves the taste.

10. What is her favourite muggle novel? Can be kids or Adult, and why? The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Matilda has read this book in the Undersee library several times. Whilst she also loves other well known novels, this has to be her favourite. She can empathize with the main character, Mary, who is at first confined to her room just as Matilda often is. Matilda wishes she could find a secret garden in her back yard, and often pretends that she has and that she is in her own special place. She also thinks it's wonderful how Collin's health improves and he finds out that he can use his legs after all. She thinks it's like a baby bird learning to fly, or perhaps herself leaving the nest and finally being able to be herself.

11. What drew her to art in the first place? Being confined to her house and garden meant that a lot of the time, Matilda is at home with nothing to do and nobody to talk to. Her school does art lessons - nothing fancy, just watercolour painting every month or so. It was here that she found her love of expressing herself through art, and her teachers were very impressed with her work considering she had had no practice. Matilda asked her Mother for her own set of watercolours and an easel, and has since expanded her collection and now has many different types of paints, pastels and pencils. She has practised her art at home ever since, and enjoys painting when she is not reading or playing in the garden.

12. Who is her favourite artist? And Why? Van Gogh. Matilda loves how expressive his work is, and how it can have a different meaning to each person who admires it. To her, his work gives a feeling of being carefree, but also with a deeper hidden meaning. She is also well informed of his history, and is inspired by his life.

13. Has the fact that she lives in Italy, helped her creativity and art? Whilst it gives Matilda things to paint, Italy has not really inspired her or helped her become so creative. What inspired her was her school, books and paintings hung around their house. Though being in Italy has not particularly helped her creativity, her house definitely has. It is one of the only good things about the house that she can think of. There are so many different things to paint - even the structure of the house is unique and gives her many ideas for her expressive artwork. Her garden has very high white walls, and so the only thing in her garden to paint is flowers, which Matilda does not have a huge interest in. However, whilst in her back yard, she can hear the sea, which can be relaxing and help her to concentrate if she is painting outside.

14. Why has she chosen to attend Hogwarts New Zealand rather than say, Beauxbatons, which is closer? The reason her family want her to attend Hogwarts New Zealand is because it is the school her Father attended, and he is now a Professor. For this reason, they believe Matilda will also also do well there. Despite it being so far away, they do only want what's best for their daughter and keeping her at home is not done out of spite, it is done because they care about her.

15. Does Matilda wish she had any siblings? Younger or older? Yes - either. An older sister would have been lovely as she would have someone to play with and someone who would look after her and care for her. A younger sister would have also been a gift as she would have had a purpose, which would be to look after her. Matilda thinks boys are more independent and would much prefer a sister over a brother. However, she is fully aware of her parent's situation and feels very sad for them as she knows that they would love another child too. She is also, though, secretly glad that they cannot have more children, as she feels it would have been such a shame for another child to have to go through the same thing that she did.

Thanks so much for the wonderful questions! I had a lot of fun answering them!
