Marylou means “sea of bitterness”, “drop of the sea”, “star of the sea”, “rebelliousness”, “exalted one” and “wished for child” (from Mary) and “famous female warrior” (from Lou).

ML - she doesn't really have any other names that people call her unless it's something that doesn't have anything to do with her name. She's not all that keen on nicknames to be honest.

None. Although her mother and father divorced before she was born, her mother kept her ex-husband's surname and gave it to Mary Lou as well, convinced they would re-marry one day.

Here Van lived in a two-bedroom terraced house with her mother, who was for the most part unemployed and relied on government benefits and her new husband. The house was always immaculate and it is one of the things Mary Lou greatly admires from her time and memories there.
