February 14th, 2064 Okayyyy soo today was Valentine's day and we did this event called rose giving or whatever right? So I did deliver a few and it was so so so much fun? Like I got to talk to older students and they had to acknowledge me if they wanted their roses right and yeah there was love and friendship everywhere and I don't know something about it all just ah! My heart is filled with happiness. Though at the same time I miss my own siblings a little more every day, i would never tell them this but there is an empty space where their voices used to echo around me. I love it on my own so much but you know there are times where I wish I could just walk up to Hera for advice or run and ask Gaia to watch a movie or something with me. I have my dormmates, but it's not the same. Anyways, I'm about to head to the dance!!! See you soon again I PROMISE! SWEAR, CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO DIE!!! xo xo nia <3

Mania walked into the Great Hall for the first time, she felt chills all over her body. It was finally happening, she'd made it here and her journey at school would start. She would have a home for the next 7 years, one she wouldn't have to say bye to after a year because her parents were anxious to keep on moving around. She saw many familiar faces, those she had met in the village and spent time with while her parents had been 'house hunting'. What a disaster that one had been, they had finally found a little house they were happy with but had decided to keep it as a temporary house. Mania doubted they'd spend much time there at all, especially after the rest of her sisters were off to school her parents would enjoy their freedom.

Nia waited in the group of new first years, looking around and giving some excited smiles and some a thumbs up, anything really. She was bursting at the seams waiting to be called up front. What would it be? Slytherin? Ravenclaw? Hufflepuff? Gryffindor? Oh she could not contain her excitement to find out. The call of names was a blur to her, eyes roaming over the walls and ceilings. So many students, so many new possibilities. What colour robes would she end up with? Who would her dormmates be? Would she be in the same house as Callie? She certainly hoped so. Though even if they were to be put in different houses she'd have no doubt about their friendship lasting. At long las Mania heard her name. "Athanasiou Mania!" As her name echoed off the walls the young witches spine straightened. "Oh! That's me!" She exclaimed hurrying up to the seat. As she sat down and saw the funny looking hat being raised above her head she gave the person holding it a wary look. "This thing better not have lice in it... Those things are nasty and difficult to get rid of, surely you sanitize it." She mumbled sizing up the hat before finally feeling it on her head. "Alright hatty give me the best you got, though before you do I would like to formally name you..... Hatty, quite original I know. Okay now go on, though I do like the suspense too it is quite thrilling." She spoke to the hat, maybe it was silly but she felt like giving the hard working hat a little conversation, it must be exhausting sorting so many students every year. "Oh! Have you ever had a student decline the house you sorted them into? Surely that would be awkward? I promise I won't do that... Maybe yeah no I'll take what you give me and make the best of it. Though I would love to have something that brings competition and excitement into my life. Alright I'll shut up go on Hatty!" At this point Nia was surprised the hat hadn't right out kicked her off the seat, though she supposed that'd be quite difficult for a hat to do. At last she settled and waited, with all the patience she could muster.

"Well, if you are quite finished, I know exactly where you should end up, and for the record my name is not Hatty and I'm a magical hat, I cannot get lice....Gryffindor,"

Mania is very wayward, having grown in a huge family she often feels quite unseen. Her sister having been the family jewel and her just the second born she took to being an agent of absolute chaos. She goes with her head first and thinks about it later if even then. Nia has a very big tendency of always having a crush on someone. She'll crush on a person and backtrack before the crush gets above the childish infatuation.

Mania likes making jewelry and tune her own clothes or just straight up taking pieces apart and combining them to make something new out of it. She also sometimes paints on something that's in her opinion too plain or boring.

What is your real, birth name? What name do you use?
My name is Mania Zoe Athanasiou since you wanted the full thing, would you like my home address, birth date and time and every other personal detail next then? I go just my Mania though. As Mania was answering she gave a dramatic eye roll at the serious tone of the question, seriously though who wanted her full government name these days? Ridiculous.

Is there a story behind your name, or why you were named just that?
Yeah there's a story alright, okay so imagine this my parents are Greek right and my mum especially has always had a deep obsession with Greek mythology. So come time to have children they decided to name each daughter after a Goddess, because they had no sons God names were not used. Mania gave the interviewer a grin and a shrug, poor dad stuck with now what? Six women by himself, not that he ever really bothered with the daughters anyways. So my name, Mania, it is after the Greek goddess of insanity and madness, now do not ask me why the hell they decided to name their second born after that goddess they just did okay? She's also said to be the goddess of the dead, spirits and chaos in Roman and Etruscan mythology, so do what you will with that information but that's the story tada! Mania threw her arms in front of her as if to show something off.

Do you have a nickname?
Yup! There's Nia the most commonly used one, though if you were to ask my family they'd probably also mention Menace and you can only imagine where that one came from. Just stick to Nia and you'll be fine. The first year gave a sharp look to her interviewer, just in case the woman got any funny ideas about the nickname her family used.

What do you look like? Be as specific as you can.
What? Seriously, can't you just take a picture or something? Nia gave a weird look to the woman before taking a deep breath in and starting. Okay well, I have long brown hair it reaches to about my chest right now, it is usually in a half up half down style in its natural state. Which some days is more curly and some days less so. Mania used a strand of her hair to twirl it around her cold fingers before continuing. I have hazel eyes, though it really depends on the lighting. In a dark room they might seem more brown but in the sun especially or with Lumos cast at the tip of your wand you can definitely see more of the green mixed in with the shades of brown. She explained, having examined her own eyes in various lightings before just because she wanted to figure out what colour they were exactly. I also have freckles scattered around my nose and cheeks, they are there all year round but they get darker during summer in the sun and lighter during winters. I'm quite short for my age, not that any of us are really tall at this point yet but I have always been a few inches smaller than others in my age group, mum says that's the way she was always. Judging by her height right now that's the way I'll also be, oh well what I lack in height I most definitely make up in personality. The Gryffindor gave the woman opposite of her a mischievous grin before continuing to think what else she could say about her appearance. Well I have a scar on my left knee from the time I climbed up a tree at my cousins house and scraped it in the process, though you can barely see it. I also have a scar under my chin from the time we spent Christmas in Iceland and we went sledding and I decided to ditch the sled and go down the hill on my stomach and long story short I went straight into my sisters feet who then fell on top of me and I scraped the underneath of my jaw in the process. Fun times though. Giving a soft shrug she tilted her head backwards to show the very faint scar there. She had been lucky her mum was a trained healer, only had to listen to her mutters of complaints. I have plenty of other small scares from being too adventurous but let's keep going, yeah?

How do you dress most of the time?
In my school uniform, which by the way is sooooooooooo bland I am planning on sprucing it up next year! I have an excellent plan so likee just wait and see. However when I am not wearing my uniform and robes I like to wear whatever I am in the mood for, sometimes I destroy my clothing pieces and make them into something new by combining them.

29th of February, yup a leap baby through and through. Though I usually get birthday wishes on the 28th from my sisters unless it's a leap year that is.

What three words best describe you?
Talkative, Chaotic, Fun.

What was your family like growing up?
Well we moved around a lot because mum and dad always said they got bored easily, though for summers we often spent some portion of the time in Greece at our grandparents or cousins or something. She took an uncomfortable breath in before continuing. Well then my parents they were there you know physically always but sometimes it felt almost as if they'd rather not be, you know? Like almost as if they'd rather just enjoy each other's company and I think that's why it was usually my big sister Hera looking after us younger ones and then when I was old enough the responsibility sort of split between us two, but I never liked it so i did anything and everything to avoid it. I do love my sisters but you know I wanted to do something more exciting than look after the younger ones, besides Hera was always good at that part. Anyways can we please move on I hate talking about my family, I mean isn't this supposed to be about getting to know me not my family? The second year avoided making eye contact with anyone in the room, using her cold hands to fidget with the hem of her skirt as she kicked her feet back and forth.

What’s your favorite season? Why?
Summer definitely, I just really like the warmth and the sun. Also I love swimming so yeah.

What do you bring with you everywhere you go?
Eh? My wand Obviously.

What makes you nervous?
The thought of failing, of not being enough and losing the friends I have.

Ooh! I get to talk to future me? Oh well not like exactly but I get to leave a message through you? Okay let me think about it for a second. Mania's brows pulled closer together and she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth as she began pondering the question, what would be something she'd want to ask or tell her future self? Okay I think I got it, did we ever figure out what we wanted to do or be? Did we get better at potions? Do you feel like you belong, because sometimes I still feel like maybe I don't belong. That maybe this was all a joke and I am going to have to move elsewhere again, you know? Are mum and dad still together? Did they finally settle down in one place or are they still fast on their feet, itching to move around? Are you happy with the way you spent your years at school? Are we still friends with Callie, Finfin and Echo? I think that's about it, anyways thank you and I'll see you around I suppose? As the interviewer gave a short nod while her quill was scribbling everything down as fast as magically possible Mania shot out of her seat and left the room.
