The evening sky was clear while it loomed above Annie as she smiled to herself, thinking about how proud she was to finally be a junior lifeguard. The training and focus over her schooling years had finally paid off and the newly graduate could see her future becoming a reality under her feet. Because of how long the young photographer had trained to be a lifeguard, she was one of the best prepared recently appointed lifeguards and she couldn't be more proud of herself, her parents had always told her that hard work always pays off and in this case, it most certainly did. Annie's bright blue eyes scanned the landscape, looking for any signs of her new boyfriend Jake. They had an unforgettable meeting, which caused Jake to be appointed to St Mungo's, this was an awkward situation to be put in, but Annie was glad to now have everything over and done with and finally be in a normal condition with Jake. The whole idea of a normal romantic relationship was new to Annie, her last boyfriend had been one of her best friends, and when they broke up, it naturally didn't end well. Because of the way that relationship had ended, Annie was left friendless and this had caused her to focus on her education, and now that she had graduated Beauxbatons and wasn't training anymore, she needed something to fill her time, and restarting her social life with Jake was timed perfectly.

The next goal on Annie's mind was to move out of her aunt and uncle's house and into her own place, she had planned this for a while and thought about asking her family to sign the holiday house over to her. The house was perfectly suited to her, it overlooked the beach, with an amazing view of the ocean, and living in New Zealand again was what she wanted to do when she left school all along. Annie had many fond memories of that beach house, and living there would give her the freedom and privacy she needed to start her own life away from home. The eighteen year old strolled casually towards the restaurant in which she would be meeting her new boyfriend for their first proper date. The very thought of going on a date at all made her smile widen, as far as Annie knew, there wasn't a time where she wasn't smiling nowadays, even the thought of being a happy and confident person made her smile. The restaurant looked classy and expensive from the outside, Annie wasn't fazed by this however, with the amount of shifts she had taken up since she had been a lifeguard put together with the pictures she had sold to newspapers and magazines, she had a decent amount of money to spoil herself with by going on things such as dates. The blonde chose to wait patiently outside for Jake to arrive, he had made the reservations anyway.

It would be foolish to feel nervous about a first date when you already pretty much knew the person casually well. Yet the sweat drop forming at his forehead cruelty let the nervous sweep over him. He had beat himself over again, pretty much tell he admitted that he was indeed fact nervous. His thoughts continued nonstop, torturing him. And when he felt like he had collected his cool, the nauseating feeling came back taunting the man once more. If he was going to behave like this, that’s it. Call the date off and reschedule. It would be dumb since he made reservation previously two days ago. If he reserved again, a whole new set of feeling would build up and this will torture him forever. God must hate me now, he figures in silence. Annie would hate me more if he called it off. For Merlin sakes, the girl was his girlfriend already why did he felt like crap?!

In the mist delusional dilemma, he got a letter from his brother the night of his date, asking how things were going. A newly married John was living life to the fullest with his rocker wife Willow, while Jake hadn’t been much working since he was pulled out of the season for his accident. Jake had to admit, he felt a tinge of jealousy, not because Willow drench in fame or because John still played. Marriage that stood out mostly to him. If he could pick anything in the world right now, he would be married right now and having his first child. It’s not what a typical young guy like himself dream of, but Jake did. Possibly because his mom always wanted all her children to be happily married soon after school completion.

Jake had no time to think of that now, time was ticking and his date would be arriving soon. He had been there already in the restaurant waiting for the blonde beauty, it so happen she had came already posted outside. With a few roses in hand, Jake walk out, coy smile lifted his mood. "Evening beauty" a tall Jake step closer and claim his girlfriend in a light embrace. He kiss her heavenly on her soft peddle pout, "You look great!"

Sorry it's like a bit rubbish >_<

As much, if not more than before, Annie's eyes lit up as Jake came into view, he looked as cute as ever and she had no reason not to stare at him with complete adoration, so of course she did for a few short moments, admiring everything about her new boyfriend. In her bright blue eyes, she couldn't see Jake ever doing anything wrong, especially with the way he had kissed her. Of course she kissed back, and spent the few instants she had in Jake's arms only focusing on him. It was evident that she was infatuated with him, completely and utterly infatuated, and Annie didn't even care if her feelings for Jake weren't mutual, she was having fun and if Jake wasn't, they were outside and he could walk away at any moment. "You look better." Said the young blonde as she bit her lip and stared at her feet, trying to hide how much she was blushing, it was most likely really easy to tell how smitten she was by Jake, all she could really do around him was smile, giggle and admire him. Honestly, Annie hadn't really felt that way about anybody before, it was all so new and exciting to the eighteen year old, and she didn't want to waste any of the precious time she had with Jake, which would be very hard to do, the blonde thought that every moment she spent with him was worth it, and this opinion wouldn't change any time soon.

Having manners was something Annie set herself on, she wasn't properly trained with etiquette, but she did know how to treat people in kind, which is what she did in most social situations and the blonde knew that they shouldn't keep the restaurant staff waiting for them to get to their table, it would be a burden on everybody's shoulder's if they left the staff to wait, minus the irony that waiters were called waiters for a specific reason. Annie took a step away from Jake and smiled up at him, it was so hard for her not to get lost in his eyes. However, the blonde needed to get into the restaurant, so they could continue their date in a more cliched fashion. It was blatantly obvious that Annie didn't know which table to go to once she walked inside, so she left it up to Jake to walk her inside, and direct her to their table. "We should go inside now, don't you think?" asked the blonde, she felt alone now that she was away from the warmth of Jake's arms, if it were up to her, she would stay in his arms for as long as she wanted, but clearly the couple had something else to focus on, which was getting their first date over and done with. It wasn't that Annie didn't want to be on a date with her boyfriend, she just wanted to spend some time alone with him, away from prying eyes, however she wasn't going to voice this thought just yet.

Jake continued to embrace Annie with his famous smile. he can never frown at beauty, and beauty indeed she was. She was like a doll, porcelain china doll crafted by the finest witches from Heaven. If he squeeze her so much, he was afraid he would break her. Though Annie never showed a sign of weakness, still, one can assume otherwise about someone special. He wanted to bask in her glory and never let her go. Although it was impossible to be like that all night, the waiters summons for them to enter. Jake apologize for them stalling, the waiters were kind enough to show the couple right back at the table. Jake followed, holding her hand instead of being nitch up against each other.

Once they reach the silk ivory table cloth and fancy set of the table, Jake went behind Annie's chair and push the fancy furniture out so that she could sit. Once she was seated, he let her get comfortable like he would do on most dates. It's not right if his dates were uncomfortable, he wanted to be sure she was situated fully. "How's that?" the twenty year old ask. He rounded the table and sat at his own chair. The cushion relax press against him. He was no longer worried but relax. He smile,"Oh almost forgot" he gave her the few singles roses. They were freshly pick from his mother's garden. They were special, because he had charm them a little to give off the scent of ocean. Thank god he ace transfiguration studies in Drumstrang, took a little bit of that to complete the spell all together.

The blonde casually walked into the fancy restaurant, hand in hand with her boyfriend, her dress catching the romantic light as she smiled pleasantly, keeping up a positive appearance, as per usual for the young witch. But for a reason the eighteen year old couldn't comprehend at that moment, she didn't feel as confident as her exterior made her out to be, not that night anyway. The reason could have very well have been nerves, typical nerves one would get on a first date, she counted that particular evening as her first date with her boyfriend, the night they had met was a night the blonde didn't want to consider a date. All Annie could do in the moments she was starting to feel uneasy, was ignore it, hide it beneath yet another smile while she tried to analyse the reason she felt so tense, the blonde smiled all the time, the only thing that would make her loved ones worry was if she wasn't smiling. Annie sat down and said a quiet "Thank you." To her boyfriend for pulling out a chair for her before straightening her silk polka dot dress. It was in the short moments nobody was looking at her did the eighteen year old show any insecurity, she wanted to be perfect on that date, no matter how far she was from perfect, nor how much of a struggle it would be to become perfect, especially in the hour or two that date would last. Annie's thoughts were quickly disrupted by Jake handing her a few beautiful roses, Annie put them on the table before her, this was a wonderful gesture, a gesture that made Annie start blushing again, a shade of crimson the young adult wished didn't reflect the deep red colour of the roses that lay on the table in front of her.

The oceanic scent that Annie could sense from the roses made her smile widen, this was something Jake had clearly done using magic, it reminded the blonde of the few hours she had been away from the beach, it calmed her down a touch, but not enough for her to feel an ounce of normality, or the usual comfort she would obtain around her boyfriend. Nevertheless, Jake had remembered that the ocean was her calling, she was a lifeguard, and the time she spent away from the beach had to be worth it, as she needed to be near the ocean, it was her own form of therapy, it aided in keeping the eighteen year old as happy as she was. "They're beautiful, now I wish I brought you something." Were the next words that Annie had said, this wasn't only the first date she had been on with Jake; this was the first date she had been on, ever. Her last relationship had formed from a friendship and actually going on a date had never been on either of their minds, by that reasoning, the blonde had no idea of what to do or how to act, this being the basis for her unusually engaged nerves. Jake had made such an effort for that date, and the young witch couldn't think of any way to compensate him for that, as her thoughts were disrupted again, but this time by a waiter handing her a menu. Annie opened the menu and looked up at Jake "What do you think you'll order?" The eighteen year old asked her date, trying to look nonchalant, like she had been on many a date before, which was hard for her to do under the circumstances.

Jake caught on instantly. The rain of nerves wash over Annie like a target beam, she couldn't hide it from him. As much as she tried to portray calm and collective, Jake could see she was fronting. Now he wanted to know seriously all about her. Hasn't she ever been on a date before? He believed not, than it hit him. This was his actual first fancy date, all of the past had been innocent and more relaxed setting. Picnics and walks, and maybe a date at a wedding. But as he recalled he had been friends about that time, this right here was the real deal for him. He acted like a pro, when really he hated the scene. It wasn't like Jake. Though to impress a woman like Annie, you had to pull all the stops. He was working the magic he hope, in trying to win her over.

"No it's okay, it was nothing. I ah got them from my step mom's garden" Lila had insisted right away for Jake to claim them. She had been a big help in preserving the roses and making them smell like ocean instead of the usual floral scent. He could tell too, that it had been a big hit with Annie. Lila tied the roses in a single ribbon, the color laced was light blue. She had fished everything he could tell her about Annie. The truth was there's very little to know, but he like her a lot than he was willing to admit to his step mom. A lot than he was willing to admit to himself. He casually pick up the menu, skipping a few pages, nothing call to him. Just the steak, he smile at the blonde sitting across from him. "The steak, sounds yummy" he poke his tongue out and chuckle. This really is not his scene, yet he was filling it in to suit well with Annie.

The blonde continued to fight a losing internal battle, she didn't want to give in to her nerves, she didn't want to show she was actually nervous, and she certainly did not want Jake to think she was weird in any shape or form. Usually for Annie, she didn't care what other people believed and just acted like herself, it was up to the people around her if they wanted to continue being in her company. That night was different, the eighteen year old had no idea what she was supposed to be doing, she didn't know if she should act like her classic, quirky self or like a different person completely. So, Annie flicked through the menu she had in her hands, holding it in front of her face in an attempt to subtly hide her blushing. Nothing in the menu popped out to her except the fish, the witch was merely focusing on what she could do to calm herself down. "It does sound good, I'm ordering the grilled Salmon." Said the blonde, winking at Jake as she closed her menu and placed it on the table next to her precious roses. One would think Annie ordering fish would be a bad decision that night, especially when she was experiencing intense nerves in the pit of her stomach. Conversely, fish was one of the eighteen year old's favourite things to eat, it made her think of when she was a kid and her father would arrive home from a productive day of fishing, no doubt with a few fish in tow. It made her think of home and it was sure to calm her down, put her mind at ease and enable her to act somewhat normal.

The eighteen year old gazed admirably down at her roses, they were a gift Jake had visibly put a lot of determination into and she was sure to cherish them, even after they had wilted and eventually ended up dying. It was then when Annie noticed the wine list, which had been placed between her and her boyfriend in a typical restaurant fashion. She smirked and alternately raised an eyebrow as an idea sparked into her head. Maybe if she had a drink or two, it would give her some feeling of relaxation, one that would overshadow the nerves which continued to simmer within her. Annie hadn't consumed any alcohol before, minus the odd sip or two she may have obtained from her father's beer when she was a child, she assumed it would leave her feeling content, after all her dad drunk a beer at the end of the day to relax when he was alive, why shouldn't she give it a go? The blonde looked up at the waiter standing by her side and placed her order of grilled salmon, along with a glass of white wine, she had no idea which kind of wine to pick, so she had just chosen the first one on the list. "So, do you come here often?" was the next thing Annie said before leaning forward to press her elbows on the table and rest her head in her hands as she observed her boyfriend across the table, her last words had been in a humorous yet flirty tone, the eighteen year old's nerves and started to subside, and it definitely showed by her change in body language.

A man of sport, Jake relied on protein to make him stronger. To build some more muscles and to make in leaner. He ate meat on a regular, except whenever he was at home. Lila detested the meat, dad ate a lot healthy these days because of her influence. So Jake had to give into their home cooked natural meal. It wasn't bad, once you get passed the smell, and some of the food didn't taste half bad. But usually, and most often did he leave his parents house to grab a burger. What can they say? He was a born carnivore. Christina, his and his siblings biological mom raised all of them that way, She cook like a beast when she was alive. Most her cooking were ethnic from Puerto Rico. Sometimes he missed that too.

Jake looked up from the menu, Annie purchased for white wine curve a smirk to his face. "Being bad are we?" he was actually relieved. The boy drank occasionally with his team mates back in Novia Scotia. Since he last step foot up north, he hadn't a drink for months. He guess tonight he will be naughty too. he smile, innocently at Annie'es question. "I don't think I've ever been here before today, but my father.." he said fluttering his honey eyes. "Recommend I take a girl that's very special to me here" he said in effort to romance. He could tell he was doing his job, Annie hiding behind the menu minutes ago made the man chuckle. Woman, if you treat them right they'll act like school girls around you, worthy advice from his father look to be true. "Sometimes I think I am dating a lovely mermaid" he said in reference to the salmon. She was born to be part of the sea, it's so weird that she even human.

It was safe to say that the first date jitters the blonde had been experiencing a few moments prior had somewhat subsided, she couldn't tell if they were going to return in full force or if they had just gone away completely, either way, Annie wasn't going to take any chances. In order to fully distract herself from the plain and simple fact she had never been on a date before and that Jake was probably a lot more experienced in the love department than she was. The eighteen year old needed to focus her attention on something else, which was considerably easy bearing in mind Jake was sitting across from her, looking as relaxed as he always seemed to. The blonde envied him on occasion; it appeared he could handle almost anything, when she couldn't even stay calm on a first date. Annie snapped out of her less then confident thoughts to realise her food had arrived, her serving of grilled salmon in front of her and her glass of white wine next to her knife and fork. "You bet I'm being bad." Replied the witch, as she picked up her glass of wine and took a sip. The taste of her wine greatly differed from the taste of her father's beer from when she was younger, it was sweeter, more alluring, which was the reason for Annie to take a second sip from her glass, feeling the subtle hint of alcohol numb her senses. The eighteen year old had not drunk much before, so she did not completely know how well she would be able to handle her alcohol.

As soon as Annie laid eyes on what she had ordered, she no longer wanted it. Just looking at food made her feel queasy, let alone eating it. The blonde however, didn't want to show how tense or uneasy she felt on that date, she wanted to appear calm and collected no matter how far from it she looked. This lead Annie to slowly tuck into her meal, sipping her glass of wine as she went along, she knew eating something wasn't a very good idea, but if she ordered something she would usually love, she felt she had to at least eat half of her meal. "I'm not special. You, on the other hand, are." Said the witch, she didn't think she was anything special, Annie thought she was just an ordinary girl, she wasn’t a celebrity or anything of the sort, she was just a lifeguard that moonlighted as a photographer. Annie had never thought once that was something to make her more special than the next person, everybody had their own talents but what made some people different was that some talent shone brighter than the rest. "A mermaid? Don't think anybody has ever referred to me as that before." Replied the eighteen year old, she wouldn't have minded if she was a Mermaid, it meant she would have an excuse to spend every moment in the ocean. The blonde smirked at the idea, and took another sip of her wine. Before she knew it, she had drunk her whole glass, and had ordered another, it was scary how fast the time seemed to be passing on that date.

Jake fell amused over the blonde behavior tonight. He started to think less serious and be more open with her, since she had trouble being smooth. He thank the waiter for his dish, everything look splendid. More than perfect, he turn over the steak and poke at it with the fork. "I think the chicken would have gone well with the mash over here" he snickered. his conversation bug whittle away that evening. He was more into watching her drink and letting her talk most of the night. Jake soon found that he needed to convert into drinking that night, so he filled a glass lucid cup to the brim. The wine, never cross path with him, for Annie he gave it a go. And grew pleasure to the rich taste and hypnotic flavor. "It's a first for everything, like it's a first for me drinking this stuff" he grew giddy recline into the cushion of his chair. "It's nice you know, to finally have a date with you after so long and what happen last year" he sighed, content.

"Now I can no more about you, like how we talked the other night was nice. But I'm afraid there's so much more I need to know about you. Like what drives you wild and what makes you passion for the ocean?" he dribble on, he was slowly slipping to a light spell of alcohol. He filled the lucid glass again, he maybe drinking, it did not mean he knew what he was doing what he was saying. Jake sat up straight when he persist to fill his glass, it was that current moment he let the unfortunate slip out of his mouth. "I think your beautiful to me, so innocent, so full of life. I really don't want to ruin you from the person that you are and I really don't want to hurt you ever" he sighed lunging forward. The right question was, are you ready for the heat?! he look down at his plate, even if he felt like that, he had his prize and there was no way in hell he wanted to let it go that easy.

The eighteen year old let out a barely audible chuckle at Jake's comment; even she didn't know why she loved the ocean as much as she did. The blonde had tried to figure it out herself, numerous times, but she had never really been close to answering it. It could have very well been a mix of her childhood memories and how much she wanted to make her mother and father proud once they passed on, her father had been a lifeguard, so Annie's choice to become one was evident, but why she loved swimming, and being near the ocean so much was within a whole different category. So, in all honesty, Annie had no idea of what to say in reply to Jake, she just sat there, finishing yet another glass of wine, and slowly eating her serving of grilled salmon. The blonde had drunk quite a bit in comparison to her usual, which was practically none, and she had lost count of how many glasses of wine she had actually drank. But Jake was drinking too, so it wouldn't look as bad as if she was the only one drinking. Annie twiddled her thumbs, and stared down at the half-finished meal in front of her, she had consumed more wine that night than food, which was a stupid idea, because Annie already felt a little woozy, and unlike herself, she was not able to hold her liquor very well. It was obviously shown by her change in body language and how she carried herself in general.

It was within the next few moments, did the blonde realise how long it had been since her and her boyfriend had shared a word. She couldn't exactly contemplate the time their awkward silence had lasted, because Annie could no longer contain herself and started laughing uncontrollably. She just thought awkward silences were funny, and the situation of her laughing practically out of nowhere made her laugh even more, if that was possible. The eighteen year old had surely had too much to drink that night; her amount of laughing told her so. Annie called over a waiter and asked for the bill, she nodded once at Jake, with a mischievous smirk crossing her features. The blonde paid for her half of the dinner and stood up, adjusted her dress, and gave an inquisitive grin in Jake's direction. He was so handsome, she had thought that from the moment she met him. Annie didn't know what she was doing or what was going on for that matter, she was just acting on instinct, and her instincts were telling her to go home, with Jake following close behind her of course. "Let's ditch this banana split." Said the blonde, her words making no sense to her, let alone another person, either way, Annie chuckled again to herself. Everything just seemed funny to her that night. Ignoring the weird looks she was getting from the other people in the restaurant, the eighteen year old exhaled and walked outside, assuming Jake would follow her and waited for him while leaning against a nearby lamp post to stabilise herself, she was already starting to stumble her words and her delicate footsteps.

He had utterly failed the whole romance scene, everything he was saying was just a joke to the blonde. If he were another guy, he would have made an exit real quick. But he wasn't and furthermore was glad the blonde had loosen up just in time for him to bring out his awkward turtle self. He pulled at the tie he wore that night, black solid and let it hang loose. He sat recline against his seat, she was totally wasted. Wasted, she was more than wasted, she was hysterical. Jake watched her put an act to her drunkenness, he had to admit as he stared into her wide spread pouty smile, she was more adorable than he could imagine. He had soft spot for girls with big lips, made him on the edge. He trip into his own fantasy land, must of what she said and her giggles soon became part of his own little world. He stared gaze, smiling like a child who just one the biggest candy in the world.

The only way he snap out of his dreamy like fantasy, was Annie suggestion to pay for half the bill. He admired that, right off the bat. A girl who could pay for her own, really how can he complain. But he pushed the money back to her and paid for their date. "I invited you so it's only fair that I paid" he even gave up extra, with one finale request he was given a whole new bottle of whine, one he certainly depended on that Annie would enjoyed. Grabbing her hand, he guide her right out the warm alluring atmosphere that only whine can make feel tonight. "Your place?" where the few words he swept to say in her ear, at this rate and the consume of alcohol there will be very little need to say by the time the night is done.

The cold night air that contained a peaceful hint of sea mist from the nearby ocean gently graced the eighteen year old's skin, it was a beautiful night for sure, the stars were out, Annie could distinguish every single one of them, if she kept her gaze on them long enough. That was one of the things Annie loved so much about New Zealand, how you could walk around in the middle of the night, and stare up at the stars without a care in the world. Making the move to New Zealand would make for a pleasurable change from living in France, and she would be living next to the beach too, no more awkward car rides to the beach for the young blonde. Now the ocean was right on her doorstep, and she couldn't have been in a more intense state of happiness, maybe it was just the alcohol talking, because Annie giggled as her date left the restaurant, with her, and a brand new bottle of wine in tow. The gesture to add more alcohol into the situation was one the blonde thought kindly of, the thought of how illogical it was didn't cross the eighteen year old's mind, she was too busy directing her attention to a mix of the bottle in Jake's hand, and Jake himself. Annie grasped a hand over her mouth, in an attempt to muffle, and hopefully silence her on-going chuckling. This attempt failed, but the blonde was too distracted to notice.

As the two made the way closer to the beach, Annie moved an arm around Jake's waist, she needed to stabilise herself from falling, and making herself look more stupid in the process, putting her arm around his waist was a good choice for the blonde to make, and probably the only good one after they left the restaurant. "Totally." Replied the blonde, while keeping her gaze at her feet. At least the eighteen year old had chosen to wear flats that night, deciding to wear heels would have ended up as more of a loss than a win; due to all the falling over she would have been doing if that decision had been made. The blonde smirked lazily, as an idea popped into her head. Annie sped up her walking, and grabbed the wine bottle out of Jake's hand before breaking into a run down the street and then the beach, Jake would surely be fit enough to chase after her and catch her, especially since the blonde's movements had been somewhat delayed by the presence of alcohol in her system. In between giggles, Annie found herself stumbling, her feet made heavy by the sand beneath her feet, and eventually, the blonde gave up trying to run. Annie kicked off her shoes in a less than classy fashion and fell backwards into the sand, facing the stars again, as she continued to laugh at what seemed like nothing while her now bare feet brushed against the sand oh so delicately.

Jake accompany the bright blonde down the cobblestones, that lead onto the sands and subsequently to the open seas. Her hand around his waist balance her more than him, he rested his arm down her petite shoulder. Her outburst of fits and giggles, swayed him in odd direction. Less delirious, he held his composer well. Than she jerk the bottle away from his hand, and broke out into a stumbling run. Jake snickered, pocketing his hands. He didn't follow till she hit the white sand. He went on sauntering, kicking off his own shoes and sat in directly down at her side.

"What's cooking good looking? And how can I get invited to your private show?" the twenty year old promiscuously tease. He took off his jacket and slid on her shoulder. The sea breeze drifting in out of the air space, Jake took in the beauty of the ocean. He was intensive to both his girlfriend and the sea, but the more he was aware of the sea, he wanted to get in so badly and enjoy the water waves. He started to strip down from his briefs and under shirt, he was done when he stood and look down at Annie, "Come with? please don't make me have to beg" but for taking the whine bottle , he yank her up her feet and hosted her over his shoulder. He broke into his own run and took Annie himself into the low temper water, a great big splash ripple through their drop point, he sent them underneath completely!

Annie awoke to the sound of crashing waves from the beach almost directly outside her house, a peaceful way to wake up, especially since the sound of the ocean was the blonde's calling. Annie would usually wake up with a smile plastered on her face, as the sun's morning rays peeked through her blinds, but not that morning. On that faithful morning, the blonde woke up with a pounding headache, her dress still slightly damp from the night before. Annie remembered what happened well, it was only slightly fuzzy around the edges, she couldn't remember quite how she got into her bed, but she had woken up fully clothed, so any sort of worry about what she and Jake had gotten up to the night before was eliminated. Jake was a great guy, and the blonde smiled at how much of a great guy he really was, it even numbed her pounding head for a few moments, which made her smile widen, before the headache returned in full force. The eighteen year old sat up, and held a delicate hand to her head, sighing at her own stupidity. She knew drinking on their date would have ended up badly, and it did end up badly, but with a hint of luck, and an ounce of responsibility did Annie end up in bed safely. However the only responsibility was on Jake's head, not hers. Annie had made the decision to be a total ditz the night before, and get completely wasted on an unsaid amount of white wine. The blonde shook her head, ignoring how it worsened her already ruthless hangover, attempting to shake some sense into her own mind.

On that note, Annie got out of bed, and made her way into her bathroom, which was conveniently attached to her bedroom so the witch had the chance to shower and get herself ready for the day. After showering, the blonde changed into some comfortable clothing, only after inspecting herself in the mirror, did Annie realise how much of a mess she looked, even after a shower, she still looked over tired and partially drunk. If that was her body's way of punishing her for drinking so much the previous night, it sure worked. Annie tied her wet hair into a messy bun, smiling at her mess of a reflection, pleased to have it out of her face. The blonde left the bathroom, to walk through her bedroom and end up in the living room, all while brushing her teeth. Annie made her way into the kitchen, Jake must have gone home, she remembered that he said his parents live nearby, so the eighteen year old made the brief assumption he had gone home after having to deal with her drunken antics. The blonde was embarrassed just thinking about how she must have looked, certainly that would not pass an appropriate way to act on a first date, and if Jake did not want to date her any longer, Annie would understand. After taking a quick look around the house, the eighteen year old returned to her bathroom to spit out her toothpaste and put her toothbrush back in its place above the sink. There was no way to deny that Annie regretted her actions the night before, she cringed at the very idea of how she acted and reacted towards Jake, a guy she wanted to impress, not scare off.

A sensible Jake woke up the next morning pretty early too be exact. He had a somewhat interesting night with his girlfriend for the first time. She had gone overboard with the drinking and acting plain out silly; he could imagine she wouldn’t be feeling good this morning. He could dig it; really he had no problem with the drinking. He was after all pushing twenty one and he drank like that occasionally with his friends on the team. He’d remember one night he got to blasted, that he slept the entire day following after. Thinking she might not be up now, Jake went for a walk around the block in where his parents. He was dressed in a simple jogging suit; grey covered his entire body including his sneakers. He wore a head band to keep away the sweat from salting his eyes. After a few laps around the area he returns home to freshen up.

All morning till noon, he thought of going over there to see if she was okay. Annie was alone and had no family or friends that he knew of who lived nearby. If she’s up than she must be feeling lonely , he contemplated that though over a fruit salad. His house was busy, his dad was working outside the backyard, his step mom works the kitchen and his little kid adopted brother Liam kept racing around his toy broom stick. Jake gift to Liam when he turn three years old , as he saw him race around the broomstick coming close to hitting the walls, he regret getting that for him. ”Going over to Annie, see you later” he told Lila. ”Hope she feels better” Lila called out, he left with a smudge glazing his lips. Lila knew him so well sometimes, he wonder how much did he shared last night with her after coming home. Jake took the short cut through an alley way and cut right through a few streets. He descended out of a back café place, right onto the sand he walks to her place.

Little over than twenty minutes he arrived right out her back patio steps. He knocked on the glass door and waited for her to answer. It’s the polite thing to do, if there was no answer than he’d be a little worried she left last night as soon as he went home and ended up Merlin knows where. Pretty please be home blondie .

The blonde had spent her morning, attempting and so far succeeding in getting rid of her hangover symptoms. On a normal day, Annie would drink a proper amount of water, keeping hydrated was mandatory for a junior lifeguard, standing in the sun's rays all day really took it out of you. On that day, water was not an option, unless it came with panadol. Instead of water, Annie had only consumed orange juice, as she remembered her aunt reciting all the shenanigans she got up to in her teenage years back when Annie lived in France. Every story ended with a hangover in one way or another, and according to her Aunt, orange juice was a good cure. What seemed a farfetched theory had somewhat worked in Annie's case, maybe it was a family thing. Or maybe it was just a simple placebo effect, the belief orange juice would cure her hangover could have very well been the reason it had worked so far, and Annie's headache was slowly dissolving away. A hung over morning turned into early afternoon, and before the blonde had eaten lunch, her headache was gone and forgotten. Music of the pop-punk variety echoed through the house, Annie hummed quietly along to a catchy melody while partaking in some house work, laundry to be more exact. Annie was gathering dirty clothing from around the house and there was little laundry to be done, only her dress from the previous night and her pink spotted pyjamas. Comforts from teenage years spent in France easily distinguished from the mature atmosphere of her home.

The young woman smiled while carrying her clothing towards the laundry, pleasant memories spent in her pyjamas with family would never fail to bring a wide smile to Annie's already cheerful features. The familiar sound of knocking distracted the blonde from her nostalgia, forcing her attention on the glass sliding door out to the back patio. Annie would use that door to get to the beach for her morning swim, although that day the lifeguard had been too busy getting rid of her hangover to bother with swimming, which posed irony as Jake was standing at the door. Nerves grew in her gut as her bright blue eyes eventually met Jake's. He had come back to see her, that might mean he was still interested, either that or Jake was only checking up on her before dashing off, never to speak to her again because of her drunken actions. Annie shook her head, snapping herself out of her dear in headlights appearance before striding to the door, and opening it with an insecure smile, her laundry draped over her arm. "It's nice to see you. Come on in." Said the blonde, faking composure as she stood back to let Jake in, not waiting to close the door, and hurrying off to the laundry, blushing from last night, and her embarrassing pink pyjamas. "I'll be back in a minute." She called while halfway down the hall, quickly shoving her dirty clothes into the washing machine and adjusting her hair a little before returning to the lounge and giving Jake a quick hug, butterflies worsening as the two got closer.

His heart rattle at the sight of her came to his view. All the worrying left his smooth complexion, instead he was more calm than he had been a minute ago. Still he wonder in silence what's his pretty little blonde been up to? And will she tell him everything if he asked? He was not a big fan of lying, but little white lies are okay if she was hiding something 'like woman issues'. Not everything meant to be shared openly, kinda like his parents PDA all the time. At age twenty he would get the creep at the sight of them kissing. And it's not like a regular kiss, it's bad luck of him to always walk in on them at the wrong time. "Ditto what you've been up too?" he stride in ruffling his hands together, close to grabbing himself a handful of pink bottom pajamas but she dashed away before he could resist himself further pulling close.

Disappointed, he chuckle shaking to her quirky ways. "Well aren't you a bowl of sunshine, last night I left to a sleeping blonde. I come here and you're all over the place" he called out, some pop punk music played in the air. He listen a while, not really his type of music but he could dig it once in a while. Jake was more into his slow jams, he loved the rhythm and blue, jazz, and some metal. That always categorize him as the weird one in the family, and in response to his siblings; normal it just to boring. She join him again, embracing Jake to a quick hug. "You're not getting away that easily" he tug her back to him, "Not till I get a kiss and you tell me what's up right now" he touched her face, caressing her soft light cheeks. He lean in, wrapping his lips to her soft pout stealing his kiss anyways so she had no choice but to lock lips with him in temptation.
