"Baby, don't touth the painth!"

Meredith dropped the paint brush she had in her mouth and raced over to stop her eldest son, Mackenzie from touching the paint in her can. She'd been redecorating the boys bedroom. With Romiah out she had time to put some work into it and so far she really liked where it was going. "Listen to Mummy, go get Maxi, I wanna play a game with you!" She said, immediately placing Mackenzie back on the ground who raced off in search of his younger brother. Meredith had been trying to think of new ways to get everything done and she had just now come up with the most amazing solution ever. Since the boys were not going to behave properly whilst she was painting the floor, they could help her paint the floor. It was so brilliant she had to wonder why she had not thought of it before. Grinning to herself, rather proud of her solution, Meredith brushed off her overalls and swung around when she heard them bounding back down the corridors to find her. She leaned down to the paint cans and quickly knocked them over. The idea she had would involved all of them getting a little messy. Not that it would be the first time of course.

She turned around as the boys came closer and grinned widely at them gesturing to the paint that was now all over the floor and surely seeping into the stone. She clapped her hands together. "Now, boys, who wants to help mummy paint the floor?!" Both hands were raised as high as could be, with both of them trying to outdo each other. Meredith smiled and quickly ushered them over. She changed them quickly into a white clothing that would be easy to paint and laughed excitedly as she placed them both in the paint. "FACE PLANT, BOYS!" She laid herself down in the pain as well to show them what she wanted them to do and then she quickly rolled to the other side of the room. "Come on, come to mummy!" She said, calling them over with a gesture. Mac was the first to move, quickly falling forward and rolling over to her. Maxi soon followed after hitting one of the paint cans on the way and knocking it over. Meredith clapped and highfived both of them. "Good job, guys! Let's do it again!" She ran back to the other side of the room and splattered herself with different coloured paint before getting back on the floor and rolling. Oh this was so much fun.

"Meredith?"

The father of two had only left the house for a moment. He should have known better, seeing as he had been married to Meredith for a couple of years now. Their first meeting had been as eccentric as he found his every day life now, yet he still found himself surprised when he opened his front door, and found a small trickle of paint creeping towards the door. His eyes narrowed slightly and he took a few more steps - before finding his youngest son, Maxime, rolling out after the paint, giggling frantically. Now sprawled out on the floor, the small boy waggled his arms at his father, who immediately dropped his bag and scooped him up for a spin - more paint flying everywhere from the boy's body.

The Frenchman looked at the foyer, and then at Maxime, and chuckled.

"We can fix it later," he whispered, pecking his nose and tucking him under his arm. The pureblood nearly tripped on his other son, Mackenzie, however, as the small brunette went sliding on his belly towards him. A small course correction was made, and soon the four year old was also tucked up into his father's arm. He dropped to his knees a metre or so away from his wife, allowing the paint to slide him to her, and he grinned wider at her. She too, just as his sons, was completely covered from head to toe in paint. Almost like every other day. He pecked her lips quickly (as Mackenzie was at the age were kissing was 'ewwie' and resulted in loud wailing) and put his sons on the ground, before pretending to tackle Mackenzie, causing the boy to roar with laughter at the tickles, and Maxime to leap on his back to tug at his hair.

"You three look like you've had fun," he said, dimples appearing on his cheeks as he was finally able to keep Maxime off his back.

"In here!"

Meredith smiled as her husband returned home and entered the foyer. He was carrying their youngest son who was now quietly covering his father's shirt in paint. Meredith giggled lightly as she watched the actions before turning her back on them and kneeling, covering her hands in paint and making circles along the ground. Meredith didn't deal with this normal type of painting. Using a brush was far too mainstream for her - hands all the way. She turned as she heard Romiah speak and smiled. She accepted his kiss as he skidded towards her and happily caught him in a hug, tumbling noisily to the ground with both of their children in tow. "We've gotten Daddy all dirty!" Meredith squeaked, slapping her hands down onto her husbands chest to throughly cover him in red paint. "How's that Daddy? Shall we paint the boys too?" She asked, roaring at them as she tackled Maxime with cuddles.

Meredith dived about the room, Maxime curled in her arms as they hand printed the skirting boards around the room. She looked over to her husband and eldest son and pointed to the roof. "I'll bet you can't reach the roof, Mac. I think Max and I can get all of this part done before you and Daddy can finish the roof. What do you say, Max?" Max eagerly agreed and clapped his hands together. Meredith laughed. She held her hand out too Romiah and got a challenging gleam in her eye. "What do you say, Daddy. Think you can beat me and Max?"

The Frenchman had gone out of his way to get a house that was completely covered in tiles. Everyone had wondered why, considering it was hardly a good way to keep the place warm, not to mention the potential injuries to be had by two bustling boys, but paint would stain the carpet, and his wife and sons needed the space to play! Work could be tedious for the relaxed man, and finally leaving the office to return home to the relaxation and fun provided by his wife and children was what kept him at it. He rolled onto his back and held Mackenzie as high in the air as he could managed - his suit was absolutely ruined. He laughed heartily as his wife rubbed more paint into his chest, and wiggled Mackenzie in the air. It was good they only had two sons - they fully intended on having more children, of course, both coming from rather large families - but he didn't like the thought of being outnumbered in their formative years. He wanted Mac and Max to be happy and have the full attention of their parents. Meredith could entertain one, whilst he entertained the other once home - it was a method that worked.

"Ha!" Romiah replied, booping his nose with Mackenzie's as he lowered the boy down to his face, he then pecked his lips (which were the only part of his face that weren't covered in paint!) "I accept your challenge, Mummy!" He sat up, Mackenzie bouncing on his hip with excitement. "I'll cover all of this in the green paint - you can cover your half in the blue paint." He then dropped Mac to the ground, and patted his bottom. "Let's go, partner!" He quickly slipped off his work shoes and socks, and began sliding around the room, holding his older son's hand. He then picked him up, rubbed him in a huge blob of green paint on the floor, and used him (carefully) as a brush to cover the wall.

The metaphorical ball had dropped and Meredith rushed to where the paints were. She lifted max onto her shoulders as his hands got covered in paint. It dripped down into her hair, but she didn't care as she tilted him closer to the wall. She was determined to beat Mac and Romiah if it meant she had to cheat a little. Checking to see if Romiah was watching, Meredith flicked her hand at the paint and stood in front of it so that Romiah couldn't see the wall painting itself. "Come on, Max, we can do this!" She said, leaning down to cover her hands in paint and smacking the wall. The sound of it like music in her ears. She was looking excitedly at their section as she moved along to help Max reach the parts of the wall that he needed to get to. A quick look over at Romiah told her that they need to get moving. She flicked her hand at the paint and it immediately stopped, causing a bit of a thump as the roller hit the ground again. "I didn't cheat!"

Meredith had dipped Max into the paints now and was moving him along the wall when she heard a pull on the wards. They had visitors! Meredith loved having visitors, she hoped they didn't mind being covered in paint. "I got it!" She hoped Romiah didn't try and take the lead she'd given herself as she put Max on her shoulders again and walked to the door. Opening it, she peered out and frowned slightly trying to place the faces. She wasn't necessarily very good at faces and she was half covered in paint after all. She realised who they were and she ushered them in happily. "Rooooo! We have cooooompanyyyy!" She sang at him, giving them all hugs and getting paint on each of them in turn. They couldn't be allowed entrance into the house without at least wearing some of it's make up.
