It was the end of his first semester in his third year, and Chad was feeling great. It was a sunny day, Christmas was fast approaching, and Chad was pretty sure he aced his exams. It was a couple of days before any other students took off for the Holidays, and Chad wanted to give his soon-to-be girlfriend a present soon, in case she went home. He held a little piece of mistletoe behind his back, searching for the girl of his dreams. The blonde was a stunner, and had a magnificent attitude. Sure, she was a year above him, but dating older girls were hot, and Chad knew he was more than good enough for an older woman.
Spotting Kailie Styx in the courtyard, Chad approached her, not caring if anyone was around to witness his love declaration. He knew many girls would be upset that he was soon to be off the market, but hey, he was only one man, fit for only one girl. He had come accustom to her beauty, but Kailie still took his breath away. He loudly cleared his throat, scruffing his hair quickly before she turned around.

The daughter of Nicolette and Kalif Styx sat alone in the Slytherin section in the Great Hall. She was getting ready to go home, to see her non-identical twin sister, Alessine. How Kailie desperately wanted to be in the same school as she was. Durmstrang seemed to have more to offer. Even this year, Kailie was changing. She was much taller, she was developing as a woman, and she was also the seeker of the Slytherin Quidditch team. Nothing could make her prouder of that. She did not even try out for it, but it seemed like she was good enough to become the one person to end the game for their team. Kailie sighed and she grabbed an apple from the table before she went out to the courtyard, dressed in her typical Slytherin uniform. The people there were getting on her nerves, and she did not have her father in there to soothe her spirits. For now, the courtyard would do. Once she arrived there, she took a seat on a bench and she also took out her paring knife that she used for potions. She was sure that she would not get in trouble for peeling an apple. She saw her little cousin do it, so why not her? She was a fourth year now, she could very well handle something like this. And she was not wasting. Whatever maggots or something could feast on them later on. She would then slice a bit off for herself, savoring the sourness of the green apple.

The sun shone off of her blonde hair, as she ignored everyone around here. There was not many around her thankfully. She hated it when people bothered her. One could say that she really was the daughter of the Slytherin Head of House. She stood up and started walking toward the lawns, still peeling the knife and her eyes turned downward to her hands to watch. She heard someone clear their throat, and she looked around to see that there was not anyone around. So someone was trying to get her attention. Kailie slowly turned around, and her cold eyes narrowed into a sharper glare at who was trying to speak to her. Could he not take a hint? Dirty blooded idiot. "Look, whatever you have to say, don't bother. I am not interested." She turned back around and started once more, to walk away.

Chad smiled at Kailie playing hard to get. How could she not be interested? He was definitely the most good looking boy in school; that even included his twin. Chad had a distinction about him that made him just a little bit better looking that William. His nerdy brother hadn't found anyone yet, and Chad had already found the love of his life. He knew it would be that way though, he was just that good.
As the beauty turned away from him, Chad quickly ran around her and stood in front of her, blocking her from moving forward. Smiling at her, he knew it was love he saw in her eyes. At that moment it felt as if it were just him and her. At that moment, no-one else was in the Court-yard, and no-one else mattered. "Kailie," Chad started, still holding the mistletoe behind his back. "You don't have to play games anymore. And we don't have to talk." He said, grinning. Pulling the mistletoe out from behind his back, he put it over her head, and moved in for the first of many kisses.

Kailie was blocked by the idiot, and then she stopped walking. Was he seriously going to do this? He was insane. As far as she was aware, he was not even pure-blood so he was not worth her time. Kailie rolled her blue eyes and she folded her arms across her chest. She raised an eyebrow as she decided to stand there and wait. There was not anyone else around to distract her either, which was a little bad for her. She wished her dad would come around and rescue her from this imbecile. He said her name, and then she looked at him through her ice cold eyes. And then he said that she didn't have to play games. She thought that he had grown an extra head or something. And that they did not have to talk. Then came the dreaded mistletoe. Even she knew what that meant. And he was moving in for a kiss! Kailie instead took a step back, and then unfolded her arms. She balled her hand into a fist and let it fly at the younger Slytherin's face. "Do you have your head shoved so up your own ass that you don't understand what 'no' means? Filthy half-blood, try that again and I will set you on fire quicker than you can call out Styx." Kailie shook her head and she attempted to move around him, her hand going around to her side where she kept her wand, in case she would turn that threat into an action.

Something made contact with Chad's face and it wasn't Kailie's lips. Pulling away, wincing slightly, Chad dropped the mistletoe, his eyes flung open, one hand sporting his cheek. He realized that Kailie had punched him, but his shocked face quickly changed into a smirk. Ooooh so that's how she liked it, huh? He wasn't sure if it was going to leave a shiner or not, but he would go to the nurse if it did; as if he would walk around looking like he got beat up! A small nerve was hit when she called him a half-blood, how was she to know what blood he was? Sure, he wasn't pure-blood, but he definitely didn't have a muggle parent. Nevertheless, he was willing to let her get away with it; she was so good looking she could pretty much get away with anything. "I didn't realize how rough you liked it Kailie, but..if that's the way you want to play." He said, shrugging, before grabbing her arm and pulling her back into him, readying himself for another kiss.

Kailie was really glad that her fist made a connection with his face. He deserved it so much, for doing this to her. Kailie did not need something like that in her life. She needed no one. She thought that Chad was one creepy little dude and she was not going to stand for him and his kind anymore. Since she was turned from him, Kailie did not even see that Chad was smirking at all. She did in fact hear what he said, and she could have threw up then. Seriously? Then she felt him grab her arm and pulling her back into him. This time, she looked down and brought her knee up to a very uncomfortable place for a guy. She pulled out her wand and she had it aimed at his face while moving to get away from him. "Touch me again, and your pants are going up in flames." She had half a mind to bring her dad into this, but she needed to be able to handle guys like this on her own. Seriously, she really did not like this guy, and wanted nothing to do with them. To make her threat an action, she decided to go on ahead and use the spell. Aiming, she intoned coolly, "Incendio!" She aimed the spell right for his pants.

An unbearable amount of pain shot through Chad's body and he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. This was definitely not how he imagined this panning out. He did not expect to end up on the ground with the girl he thought he used to love standing over him, pointing her wand at him. Surely the girl wasn't going to do anything more? The young Slytherin boy was unsure as to how this beauty had managed to fall head of heels in love with him; he was so sure this would be a walk in the park.
However, with a surging hot pain going through his legs, he finally realized different. The pain in his nether regions was all forgotten about as he saw his pants were on fire. "What the-!" Chad exclaimed, patting his pants trying to put it out. Forgetting where he was, or what had happened, Chad was only concerned with not burning his gorgeous legs. The heat was getting excruciating, and this was the only thing that made sense. Undoing his belt, Chad quickly dropped his pants around his ankles and jumped out of them, watching as they shriveled away. Embarrassed, Chad went to run back to his dormitory, but not before scowling at the demon-girl, "You are crazy!" He yelled, before running as fast as he knew possible, leaving his burnt pants, and all dignity behind.

Kailie smirked coldly as she embraced the pain that she had given to Chad. He deserved it for trying to steal her first kiss. She wanted that to be savored for someone special. Not that she expected to find anyone special anytime soon. At least her spell hit him, and his pants were soon on fire. Kailie could not help but laugh when he was freaking out. This was definitely worth all of this trouble. Kailie looked around and saw that there were no other professors around, and she did not know the spell to conjure water. She would not know that until her sixth year. She enjoyed the sight even more when Chad had to remove his own pants, and drop them to the ground. Good, he deserved it. Chad had called her crazy and she shrugged. Looking back at the ashes that were his pants, she knew where she got that temper from. She got it directly from her mother. Kailie was not complaining anymore. She rolled her icy blue eyes before she walked toward the dungeons. She had enough of Chad, and she had a feeling that she was definitely done with him for the rest of her Hogwarts days. She had a feeling that he would be alone for the rest of his life too. Kailie figured that she would not be. She was a Styx after all, which meant that she would find someone. Not that she cared right now.
