Ewan had been looking for a snack, as usual, however he was getting increasingly certain that he'd taken a wrong turn at some point because he seemed to be underground now. He was sure he hadn't come this far after the sorting ceremony when he needed a late night trip to the kitchens, but apparently now he couldn't work out where he was, nor why a school would even have such a dirty cold nasty place like this in it in the first place. There were a few other students hanging around, but Ewan wasn't quite lost enough to have to ask someone. Besides, he didn't always want to be known as the first year that got lost; a name like that was bound to stick with you and Ewan wanted to be known as something cool.

Myra could not get used to the fact that now she will have to live so far from the usual life she was used to and that everything will be different now. She wasn't sure that she would be able to go to sleep right away, but the whole ceremony went exactly as it was, and that made her happy from the bottom of her heart. It wasn't too late yet, so the girl decided to go on a little excursion around the castle to explore. Myra decided to start with the basement floor because she had already seen her floor. She was afraid that she might get lost in the basement corridors, because they were like a labyrinth. However, she had to find a way out, there had to be a kitchen somewhere nearby, because she could smell food. She closed her eyes and tried to follow the smell towards the scent, but she was run over by someone and fell to the ground. Opening his eyes, he saw a boy. "I'm sorry, I didn't look where I was going," she said, getting up from the ground and looking at the boy she had seen at the ceremony.

Ewan didn't have any siblings, but he was pretty sure that if he did, he would have teased them and played with them and it would have been hilarious. As it happened, his friends were often the butt of his jokes, and it would be no different when he made friends here at Hogwarts. As he wandered the halls of the Dungeons, he noticed he wasn't the only student down here. Despite the darkness, Ewan's eyes had adjusted so much so that he could easily see another girl coming towards him in the opposite direction; except her eyes were closed. Was this girl enjoying walking along so blindly? Ewan slowed his own steps, until he decided that he was going to stop walking completely. Unsurprisingly, the girl walked straight into him which made the Gryffindor chuckle, although he did feel a pang of guilt as she actually fell to the floor. He put out his hand to help her back up, trying to recall her name from earlier in the day. "Myra, isn't it?" he asked, thinking she'd been sorted into a common room that also wasn't covered in green banners. "You on the hunt for some food too?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest and giving her half a smile.

Myra was never one of those shy children who was able to find a common language with her peers and even with adults. There were also many new friends and acquaintances to meet in the new place called Hogwarts. The new place was also interesting in itself in the sense that it had many different places that aroused great interest, but especially the Forbidden Forest. It could of course wait. Because right now Myra was looking at the boy she ran into a moment ago with a worried look. And here he asked if she was Myra. "Yes, I'm Myra. And who are you?'' It didn't seem strange at all, because at the first meeting you had to ask the interlocutor's name, even though he already knew your name, but you didn't. "I was looking for it. Wanted to eat a cookie or a piece of cake. Maybe we'll go look for the kitchen together?'' she offered the boy and gave a sincere smile.
