Alison her parents were too busy with discussing her sister Kate, that Alison decided it was time to leave the two bickering and time for herself to go out and take a stroll down Obsidian Harbour. Alison had a beanie on her head and almost hid all of her face in the fabric, she was a bit shy around people especially around muggles, since she did not want the Magical secret to be leaked out, she had already done under-age magic where a muggle was and that did not end well. Alison did not like Muggles, they way her parents did she did not even like half of them and she could not tolerate to be with them the half of the time, that was one the reasons that Alison like Obsidian Harbour. Obsidian Harbour was for muggles with magical children or magical families, but this was not the only reason she was going to Obsidian Harbour she had lost her favourite bracelet there and she still could not get a new one to replace her old silver bracelet. Alison looked around the street she was walking and found the street name on hanging on a pole, she had never seen this name and she knew she was lost. ''Dammit'' Alison muttered another swear and looked around to find any of those muggles that wanted to help little children so badly. Alison tried to rearrange her beanie so that her face could be seen again and found a nice muggle man with a bowler on his hat. ''Hello, Sir'' Alison looked at the man, her parents were awful when it came on manners you needed to address people like you want to be addressed. ''Do you know how I could get to the Harbour?'' Alison knew how to be cute and she had put her puppy look on. The man pointed her to the direction and after a quick walk down the streets of New-Zealand she found herself on Obsedian Harbour. Alison did not want to enter a shop, she did not even know where she had lost her bracelet it was kind of stupid to think that her bracelet was lost in a shop here.

Alison walked in some shops that she was familiar with, but her bracelet was not there. Alison could not stop thinking about the freaking bracelet and how could it be lost her god dam name was on it and as far as she know her family were the only Kingswood in New-Zealand. A silver bracelet that said Alison Kingswood that had to be found again right? After a couple of more shops she decided to sit on a bench in front of a shop in Obsidian Harbour, she was thinking about what she would do at Hogwarts and what House could fit her, her parents were overly excited that her sister Kate was sorted in Ravenclaw. Her whole family was almost Ravenclaw and Alison did not have the smarts to be there and she did not like how to House sounded, she wanted action not some books. Her shyness was mainly around muggles and people she did not know. Alison began to hid her face again in her beanie and walked to the ice cream shop on the Harbour she was in serious need of a good ice cream, she took a take away ice cream, gave the shop keeper the galleons that he asked for and walked outside with her ice cream. Alison sat on the seats that were around the Ice cream shop and found herself thinking about her screwed up family, she wanted to know more of her family, especially her mums side she did know nothing about them and she just wanted to know what was wrong with her family. Alison her chocolate banana ice cream was melting quickly and Alison tried to keep up with all the leaking ice cream until she heard a noise.

It had been several days since Bridget's encounter with her Brother, Orland. The young girl was still shaken up about it. She did not know whether he had left for Durmstrang yet, or if he was busy keeping an eye on her to make sure she didn't say anything to their Mother. It was true, she would have gone berserk had she found out her son had told Bridget about their family. The two barely regarded Orland as being their relative now, and had lost all respect for him whatsoever. He was heading for trouble, and it seemed only Bridget and her Mother could see that. Still, he would learn eventually that his precious plans were only going to fail. Unfortunately, he would probably be in Azkaban or dead before he fully understood that his family was just a bunch of fakes, pretending to be dark wizards when in actual fact they could barely cast any normal spells, let alone dark or powerful magic. At first, Bridget had felt pity that her brother could not see this. But another side of her believed he deserved whatever he was going to get. He was so cruel, heartless and downright selfish. Leaving the family to go to Durmstrang, so that their Mother would have to cope with bringing up a 7 year old girl alone. It was downright unfair, and this caused Bridget to wonder whether she actually cared where he ended up. She did, however, care where she herself ended up. It was clear to her that since her family suffered from so many problems, she would inherit them and become as crazy as the rest of them. It sent shivers up her spine. She would do anything to stop herself being like them. It was the worst fate anyone could possibly be given.

Determined not to let this bother her today, Bridget quietly left the guest suite she and her Mother were staying in, and wandered aimlessly down the cobbled path. It was chilly, and she had considerably under dressed for such an occasion. Shivering slightly, she hugged herself tighter and let a cool breeze fan her fiery red hair out behind her. As the wind grew stronger, she was sure she was close to obsidian harbour. It was the only explanation for all the wind. Taking shelter at a shop front, she perched herself down on a bench beside a young girl of her age. Bridget wasn't even sure why she had come for a walk. Shutting out the possibility that it was because she was going mad, she squeezed her eyes together tightly. It was worse than pain, the constant worrying that something was wrong with you. She was not one to show worry, though, and would do her best to pretend everything was OK. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Bridget swung her legs gently and let the sound of the distant waves take her to a different place.

OOCOut of Character:
I hope it's okay, I thought it would be better if they 'hadn't met yet', since both characters have entirely different personalities now XD

Alison did not dare to look next to her, she had definitely heard the noise and last time she checked she was not going mad. She was shy to say the least and this noise made her jump, the looked quickly next to her like pulling of a Band Aid, when it was done quickly it did not hurt as much. When she moved her head, she could see the girl sitting next to her and as curious and brave as she was she could not help to see there was something off with this girl. ''Are you alright?'' she muttered under her breath, she was still a bit shy and scared of this new person. She had the same red coloured hair as her mother head before she had dyed it. Her mother was very secretly about her family and Alison did not want to bother her mother with lots of questions, she could not care really.

Alison shifted awkwardly in another pose and found enough courage to finally look at the girl, she did not really now what she should do next since the girl looked like she had been trough a rough patch lately. Alison was still thinking about her bracelet and decided that was something she should ask the girl. ''Hello, uhmm I was wondering if you found a silver braclet?'' Alison said in a soft low voice almost it sounded almost like a whisper. Alison knew it was a bad idea to start talking to some random girl, but Alison could not help to be a tad bit curious. Alison her brown eyes were genuine interested in this girl, she looked at the waves in the harbour and could smell the salt in her nose. Her hair was still in a beanie, but the wind was getting harder and she knew when she took the beanie of her hair would be scrambled by the salty wind.

A few seconds passed before a sound brought Bridget back to her senses. Once again, a sudden fear filled her body. She had been daydreaming again. The whole ordeal was making her want to cry, but crying was something she would have scolded herself for, especially in public. Bridget was a girl with very high standards for herself, and if she didn't meet them, she would be disappointed, thinking she had failed. Her Mother was partly to blame for this, but she had had good intentions. All she had wanted was for Bridget to grow up to be careful and do things right, but it had had a negative effect. Being so small, Bridget had taken the wrong messages and ended up being too critical of herself. Shaking herself out of this mindset, she turned her head to meet the eyes of her acquaintance. It took a moment for her question to sink in, and she was unsure of how to reply. She couldn't tell the truth, which was that everything was absolutely not fine - what would the girl have thought of her? Bridget did not want to come across as weak or scared, even if it was a stranger she was talking to. Sitting up a little straighter, she hoped the girl would not notice the way she was clasping her hands awkwardly in her lap, fidgeting. "I.. I'm fine, thank you," she mumbled, her confident attitude flying out of the window. Her voice had cracked and fully given away that she was upset. Still, the girl's next question was a great way to distract them from this conversation.

Bridget had walked a long way from the inn to this bench, and had been mainly looking along the cobbled path. However, she had not even seen a glimpse of something shiny, let alone an actual bracelet. "Uhm.. No, sorry," Bridget replied, feeling that she had missed something. Her reply had been very vague, and a few seconds passed before it finally sunk in that she had been very rude indeed. Correcting herself, she quickly added "I can help you look for it, if you'd like." She smiled softly, hoping the girl would accept this offer. It would be nice to have something else to think about, so long as she didn't show herself up in front of her acquaintance. She would have died a little inside if anything happened, and she was constantly on edge that she would suddenly hallucinate or act strangely. Putting this aside, she continued to smile, the wind gently blowing her ginger waves.

Alison knew that the girl was far from fine, her voice had given it away it sounded too upset, but Alison decided not to push the girl so she looked away still searching on the ground. Alison thought it was a bit of a bummer that the girl had not seen her bracelet, she was almost getting desperate. The reaction was a bit weird almost rude, but she corrected herself and the offer was tempting two people searching was better then one alone right. ''I would like that.'' Alison said with the low soft voice she usually had with new people, she was scared to say how to bracelet looked, her name was on it and her parents did not like their daughter babbling on their names. Alison accepted the help, because the girl needed something to set her mind to something else.

Alison looked at the girl and she knew she was safe to be around with so she decided to spill how to bracelet looked. ''Well, it is a silver bracelet with my name on it, it is hard to miss really'' Alison said with a more louder tone in her voice, she did not dare to say her name and knew the girl could read that on her face. Alison shot the girl on last look before she stood up from the bench, she did not know her name and she did now hers. Alison was not thinking about Hogwarts or even being Magical she knew the girl was magical otherwise she could not be here. She shifted awkwardly into another standing position and looked at the girl with her hazel eyes.

Bridget momentarily wondered why the girl had not stated her name. After all, they were looking for a bracelet with her name on it. She herself was not one to give away personal information too quickly. It was one of the only good things she had learnt from her Brother. He had been particularly wise in this area, and had taught Bridget not to give away any information that wasn't necessary. Her acquaintance was obviously cautious of strangers too. Just because they were both young girls did not mean it was immediately safe to trust each other. Even without her Brother's tuition, she would have known this. It was just plain common sense.

Bridget nodded, glancing around the bench vaguely in case she had missed it while sitting down. She could not help but notice how unhelpful the girl was. She could have at least given a general area that she may have lost it. Then they would head in the right direction, instead of wandering aimlessly through the streets with no clue where to start looking. "Where were you when you last had it?" Bridget asked, masking the slight frustration she felt. She understood that this girl was probably just shy, and she knew the feeling all too well. It didn't exactly make you want to explain things in full detail to strangers. It made you want to hide away and cry when faced with such a situation. For this reason, Bridget smiled softly and attempted to make the girl feel as comfortable as she could. It was nice to try and make someone else feel better. It took her mind off her own troubles, which were now sinking peacefully into the back of her mind where they belonged. Unfortunately, it would only be so long before she had to think of them again, and she was dreading it already.

The girl would think she was weird for not saying her name, but Alison could not care less, she did not have lots of friends and it did not matter one bit. Alison looked at the girl and the girl had not shared her name, Alison did not want to say her name either, but she knew deep inside that this girl was not going to hurt her. ''My name is Alison.'' Alison muttered quickly, clearly not saying her last name since that was not really required in this conversation, she almost had said her last name with her own name, but she did not really know this girl so it was not really necessary.

She did not want to be unhelpful, the girl was really nice to even help her with finding her lost bracelet. ''Uhm, I was walking on the harbour, getting some fresh air.. you know?'' Alison really did not know where or when she had lost it, she always took the bracelet for granted and after so many years she did not even feel it resting on her arm. Alison must have sounded a bit out of key, she was a bit shy and was not a very social being. Alison was already standing and waited for the other girl to stand so they both could search for her silver bracelet. Alison did not want to think about the bracelet any more and had already gave in to the fact that it was going to be lost forever. The weather was turning and she was feeling a bit cold and wanted to walk to warm up a bit. ''I am sorry if I bother you, you are are sure that you want to help me right?'' Alison questioned everything and was going a bit mental, she always asked to many questions. The girl looked safe and she felt a bit more comfortable around her, her shoulders were going a bit looser and she knew that she had a small smile on her face.

The small boost of self confidence Bridget had been feeling at the prospect of helping this girl vanished quickly. She simply couldn't stop her mind wandering to her family, and the effect it could have on her. And yet, Bridget had believed she was so normal. Had she been unaware of her family history, she would never have thought of herself as one of them. She had only known of her Mother, who was kind, caring and compassionate, as she had brought her up alone for as long as she could remember. It took a moment for Bridget to snap back into the real world, and once she had, she only caught the end of Alison's sentence. "You want to help me, right?" Was the last thing she caught. Quickly hiding the distressed look on her face, she snapped her head up to glance at Alison. "Of course! I'm sorry. I hope I'm not being rude, I just have a lot on my mind," it wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the entire truth either. Still, it was all the girl needed to know to realise she wasn't trying to appear as arrogant as she was coming across. Deep down, helping others was the only thing Bridget felt she was good at, so today was a bit of an off day for her. "Let's walk down past the shops. We can chat while we look," Bridget smiled the most convincing smile she could muster, but it wasn't fooling anyone. It was clear she was distressed, but she was not one to admit this. She even felt weak just for considering showing her true feelings. She didn't even tell her Mother how she felt, let alone a stranger.

Alison felt kind of lost in the big bad Wizarding world and she missed her bracelet, but she did not know were she had lost it. Alison let out a sigh and found it weird that the girl offered her help in finding her lost bracelet. The girl was not rude at all and Alison already knew she had a lot on her mind, she seemed so distracted by everything, it was a wonder that she even listened to Alison and knew what she had said to her. Alison was thinking about Hogwarts and what House she might be in when she would attend Hogwarts, everything crossed her mind, but Alison did not quiet know what House she preferred or in what House she really belonged in. Alison tucked a lost hair back behind her ear, she was already standing and the girl was coming with her to walk down past the shops, she even offered to chat while they were looking for her silver bracelet.

Alison was kind of shy around strangers and did not know how to act like a normal person, but this girl seemed nice and Alison still could not spill everything she had been thinking about. The girl did not tell her everything she was bothered with and Alison was aware of that, but did not want to push the girl into talking to her. Alison her whole family were a bunch of smart weirdos and then there was Alison she was not that smart and not that big of a talker she did not belong in her family and she did not know if she was even a Kingswood or not. Well, of course she was since her last name was Kingswood, but somehow she just did not belong in her family. ''I would be super excited, if I got my bracelet back'' Alison said her voice nice and clear, since she now felt kind of comfortable with talking to the girl. They walked past several shops and Alison hoped that they would find her bracelet soon so she asked in her usual sweet and kind voice: ''Do you see anything?'' Alison sounded kind of hopeful, she knew that no one would want to steal a really small bracelet that said Alison Kingswood, even if they did it was really hard to sell with her name on it and all.

Despite knowing little about Alison, Bridget could sympathize with her enthusiasm to find her bracelet. She didn't own many things, and what she did was very treasured and special to her. Sometimes, Bridget wondered if she would have enjoyed the upbringing of a rich family. However, it was true that money couldn't buy happiness. It was what the item meant to you that gave it it's value, and she was sure her bracelet was priceless. Once, she had lost her eighth birthday card from her 'dad', and had been distraught for days until her Mother found it under Bridget's mattress. At the time, she had blushed terribly when her Mother extracted it from beneath the sheets. She had put it there to feel when she couldn't sleep. It was comforting. Unfortunately, these feelings were long gone. Her Father had not even sent that card, it had been written by her Mother. She despised both of them, especially for keeping such a big secret from her. Once she had found out, she admitted she would rather have not known, but they did not have the right to hide this important information. It was her dad for goodness' sake, not a cousin or an aunt. Someone she thought that one day, she might actually be able to see again. Someone she believed cared about her. Since people who cared about her were hard to come by, she had longed to meet her dad and dreamt about the day he would return from work most nights since she could remember. Now, her dreams resembled nightmares, waking her in the middle of the night feeling shaky and sick. After that, it was always hard to sleep again. Bridget hated the dark. It made her feel trapped and blind, as though she was a victim to it's wrath which she could not control except to turn a light on. It would have woken her Mother up to do so, however, and since electrical items didn't work here, she had to lie in the dark for hours until the birds finally began to sing. It was real music to her ears.

Bridget hastily turned her attention back to Alison, hoping the silence that had filled the air during her daydreams had not felt too awkward for her. "Absolutely. I know the feeling of losing something you really care about," She trailed off, unsure whether she meant the birthday card or just her Father. And her Brother. Because she had lost them all, and each one felt just as painful. Tears filled the small girl's eyes, and she clenched her face to hold them in. It may have looked strange, but it was better than crying in front of a stranger. That would definitely have appeared weak. Suddenly, she remembered a vital piece of information she had forgotten to give. She hadn't introduced herself yet. "I'm Bridget, by the way. Bridget Riley. Do you have a surname?" She grinned, smiling to compensate for the tears in her eyes, which she dabbed at a little when Alison wasn't looking. If she had asked why she was tearing up, she would simply have blamed it on allergies. After all, it was Summer now and the pollen in the air did cause problems for many people. Bridget just wasn't one of them. "I don't see anything yet," Bridget added ruefully as they walked, though this may have been from the blurriness of her vision. It certainly didn't help. Plus, she was a little light headed from a lack of sleep. She wasn't even walking in a straight line because it was too difficult, and she hoped Alison wouldn't notice. Bridget could count the hours of sleep she had had in the past few days on her fingers. It really wasn't enough for a ten year old, but what could she do?

Alison was looking at the shops and street with her gazing hazel eyes, trying to find her bracelet glittering on the Obsidian Harbour ground. She loved the shine and all the emotions tied with the bracelet, she got the bracelet from her mother when she was younger, the bracelet was one of Alison's treasures. Both the girls were still walking over Obsidian Harbour and Alison was gazing from the ground to the girl, the girl did not even walked straight, but Alison decided to not push that fact or anything else she could see being wrong with the girl however she did make a mental note and decided she would ask the girl when the girl was ready to talk about her own problems. Alison loved being free and having no boundaries in life, but with her bracelet missing she began to be extremely shy and a control freak, every day that had passed without her bracelet was horrible she needed the thing it was like some part of her was missing.

Alison needed her bracelet, without it she was lost and Alison wanted to enjoy life again. When her parents knew that she was lost the bracelet they went kind of mad and were disappointed in Alison. Alison needed her bracelet, it belonged to her as a part of her soul. The girl knew the feeling of losing something that you really care about, Alison wondered about what the girl meant. ''What did you lose then? '' Alison asked in her clear and calm voice, not wanting to upset the girl. Alison had regretted her decision to ask the girl about what she had lost since the girl was definitely crying, but since Alison was already thinking that the girl was one bunch of cropped up problems she did not push that fact either and pushed it of on allergies. The girl finally introduced herself as Bridget Reiley the name did not spark something with Alison, but the girl asked for her surname and Alison found it only fair to give hers. ''Oh, I am so sorry. '' Alison lied that she was sorry for not giving her surname, she did not want to give it the minute she just met someone ''My name is Alison Kingswood, but you can just call me Alice.'' Alison knew that her family named her Alison, because her mums name was Alice already and there needed to be a difference to distinguish both names, but her friends mainly called her Alice. The girl had not seen her bracelet yet, but it would be impossible to see the bracelet her vision must be clouded with all the tears. Alison did not want to push the girl in telling her something she did not want to tell, she had experienced that with her mother, she was very secretly about her own family and Alison had asked her a million times about it until she knew that her mother felt uncomfortable talking about it. Alison began to hum her favourite tune, it was a lullaby that her mum always sung when Alison needed to go to sleep. Alison her eyes gazed back to the ground, desperately wanting to find her bracelet or even seeing a flicker of the silver so she could have hope that it was not lost forever. Alice her parents did not marry and since her dad had a really weird surname her mum chose her surname for the kids. Alison did not think about her sister very much, she liked her but she was glad she was the only child in the house now, her sister was a walking book, she knew everything and Alison got annoyed by that easily.

When Alison revealed her surname, a nagging feeling settled in Bridget's stomach. Where did she recognize that name from? She was sure she had heard of it recently, however decided that since she could not remember, it wasn't important and was just a coincidence that this girl had the same name. They carried on walking, scanning the cobbled ground for any glimpse of the silver bracelet. The sun was beating down and reflecting off everything shiny in the street, causing a distortion in Bridget's vision. It was like searching for a needle in a haystack. Every time something sparkled, her heart skipped a beat, but was quickly flattened again when it turned out to be a small cauldron or a brass plaque. Bridget sighed, quickly losing hope of ever retrieving this bracelet. The thing was, she understood how much it meant to Alison, and was not going to give up so quickly. After all, she had nothing better to do and helping others was something that helped Bridget take her mind off her own problems. As they had been chatting, her focus on her issues had definitely been less apparent, even if only slightly. It was hard to take such a horrible thing off your mind. It would take a lot more than a trip bracelet hunting for her to truly forget how scared she was.

At that moment, something clicked in Bridget's head. Kingswood. Kingswood! Orland had mentioned that name when they had met at the three broomsticks not long ago. He had explained how the Riley's were a group mentally unstable, power hungry idiots who couldn't even do any magic, though he didn't explain it like this. He had tried to convince Bridget to follow in their footsteps. Quite frankly, she would rather have willingly given her own life than become one of them. They would only end up in Azkaban, anyway. Whilst Orland had been explaining all of this, he had mentioned their Father. He was in Azkaban for attempted murder on.. Alice Rose Kingswood. He had hated her and her family because they would not conform to his way of life, just as Bridget wouldn't. Could that have been Alison's Mother? The little colour Bridget's cheeks harboured drained in an instant as this flashed through her mind. Clinging onto the tiny fragment of hope that this was not the case, she swallowed hard. "You don't have a Mum called.. A.. Alice Rose, do you?" She asked, well aware she was now sounding like a creep, but she had to ask. And surely the fear plastered on Bridget's face would show Alison that she was not in fact being a stalker. She'll say no. She'll say no. She'll say no, Bridget chanted in her head. Oh how she wished she would say no.

Alison saw that Bridget was looking for the bracelet and Alison hoped it was not a lost cause. Alison her hair was getting long and her bangs came in front of her eyes, making it hard to look at the ground with her bangs in her face. Every time Alison saw a something glittering on the ground, she got excited inside, but every time it was something else from empty candy wrappers to some plastic silvery ring that a child must have lost. After walking past two more shops, Alison saw something change in Bridget her face. Alison stopped walking and searching the same second and looked with big hazel eyes at the girl. Bridget went pale and not the normal kind of pale almost the vampire colour kind of pale. ''Bridget what is happening?'' Alison said in a whisper, she was getting scared that Bridget would faint or something. Bridget remained quiet, but after some seconds past she asked something about Alison her mother. How would Bridget know the girl of her mum and Alison was getting scared that she had said too much and that Bridget was a stalker. ''Yes, my mum is Alice Rose.'' Alison said in a whisper, she was scared that the girl was going to harm her, Alison had goosebumps all of her body and the hairs in her neck stood straight up, her hazel eyes full with fear. ''H..how..do..you..k..know..my..mother'' Alison mumbled to the girl, desperately to remain calm.

In a split second, Bridget's world felt as though it had come crashing down around her. How could she possibly stand next to this lovely girl when Bridget's Father had tried to kill her Mother? Should she even tell her? It took a few seconds for her to decide she would not tell Alison of her Father's failed plans. After all, if her Mother had wanted her to know, she would have told her. It was no place for Bridget to go snooping around in. She remembered how angry she had felt when Orland had told her about their family and not her Mother. It was a horrible feeling to be denied access to the knowledge you should have had for a long time. For this reasons, she decided to keep quiet. Alison seemed to be worried about Bridget, and not without good reason. She stumbled to the nearest bench and sat down, bending her head low to subside her dizziness. But if I don't tell her.. I'll always know and she won't, she thought, slowly sitting up. Her stomach churned wildly. Not only had she had little to no sleep, she had recently found out that the Riley's had a history of mental illness, and on top of that she now knew that her Father had tried to kill Alison's Mother. As she thought of this, she shuddered and squeezed her hands into fists to stop herself passing out. It had been a rough few days, and this was not what she needed.

"I.. I don't think I can explain," Bridget stammered, her voice icy cold. She couldn't even look at Alison any more. She was disgusted with her family and their beliefs. It was almost a feeling of guilt that she had been born to them, that she was a result of their reproduction. And all she could think was he tried to kill her Mum. Suddenly, another thought struck her, though it did not make her feel any better. She double checked in her mind to make sure she was correct before she opened her mouth, as she had a habit of speaking without thinking. "W.. we're cousins," She stated flatly, sounding a little rude considering there was no tone in her voice that suggested she was happy about this. Even though Alison seemed to be such a nice girl, it hurt Bridget so much to know what she did. How could she possibly not tell her? She deserved to know, didn't she?

Alison was getting worried and it was not getting better by Bridget her sudden weird change in behaviour. Alison her hazel eyes were still filled with fear, but Alison could at least focus on Bridget. Alison was freaking out inside and could not stand any longer, so sat down next to Bridget. Bridget was also sitting and Alison did not even notice that, she always noticed everything how could she missed such a big thing. Alison was freaking out and Bridget did not make it any better, it worsened it. Suddenly Bridget spoke and Alison was confused more, the girl knew some things that Alison did not and that made Alison uncomfortable. ''What? Why can't you explain?'' Alison said in a high pitched voice, still freaking out every time she saw or looked at the girl. Alison remained quiet en tried to line up her thoughts about the whole thing. Until Bridget spoke again and there was no way in hell that Alison could remain quiet. ''WE ARE WH?" Alison spoke in a soft whisper until her vision became black obviously fainting on the bench. Alison knew all of her family and her mum had no family, she had said that one hundred and one times. Alison had asked her mother crazy about her family, she just wanted to know them her sister had said her to stop and Alison stopped after a while.

Alison was floating and felt nothing, her head was too full of emotions and she could not grip back on reality, she had a total melt down of emotions. Alison was stuck in the black void around her, waiting for something to happen.

Bridget did not have much longer to think about the situation before Alison passed clean out beside her. She gasped before jumping into action. Her healing, caring instinct she had inherited from her Mother was going to be put to good use. "Alison?" She asked a little pointlessly. She laid Alison down on the bench and elevated her legs onto the arm before darting into the nearest shop. "Could I get a glass of water, please?" Bridget asked the shopkeeper, trying to stay relaxed. They gladly summoned a goblet on request, and she thanked the lady before exiting the shop and sitting back down next to Alison. There was not much more she could do except wait for her to wake up, so she sat quietly and tried not to think things through. She regretted even telling Alison they were related. If that news had come as such a shock to her, there was no way she could take what was to come. Perhaps when they were older, and if they had remained in touch, she would finally tell her. Until then, she swore inwardly that she would keep it quiet, no matter how much she longed to let her know.

Bridget was glad she herself had not passed out, and was pleased she had paid attention to her Mother, who was always giving out handy advice in medical or social situations. The summer heat was certainly not helping the situation, but it would not be long before she woke up. Bridget had only fainted once, and knew that the disorientation upon waking up was quite scary. Nobody walking past seemed to be paying them any attention, and she did not want to attract any. She sighed, her own feelings fading as she looked after Alison. It was lovely that helping someone else could take her mind off her own physical problems entirely, and she no longer felt faint. However, there was an ache in the pit of her stomach which she recognized all too well. Fear.

Alison could feel the darkness around her fading and could make out the shapes of the busy street and shops of Obsidian Harbour. Slowly her vision regained sharpness and Alison was sure that she was not at home, but was a Obsidian Harbour. Alison could feel she was laying a weird position and Alison knew for sure that she did not did that herself, why on earth would she lay down on a bench. Alison slowly opened her eyes and still felt not there, she was almost floating. Her memories all came back to her and on that second she noticed the red haired girl standing before her. The red haired girl that claimed to be her cousin, Alison still could not figure that out. Her brain had probably shut itself of, to many emotions and words going trough her mind. Alison her eyes were still filled with fear, fear of not knowing. 'What happened?'' Alison muttered from under her breath, trying to sit down on the bench.

The girl must have laid her in the laying position, Alison did not know why, but a little voice inside her head said that the girl could be trusted. The girl or Bridget or her cousin not forgetting that addition knew her mother and her mother was the loveliest and kindest person that ever set foot on this earth. Alison fear slowly changed into confusion, but Alison knew she could not handle the truth in this state. Alison noticed that the girl was holding something in her hands, she must have had some medical knowledge or people knowledge for that matter, because Alison had gone thirsty from the episode.

Though she had been sure Alison would wake up soon, Bridget couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief when she opened her eyes. She didn't try to stop her from sitting up, even though it wasn't the best idea. All she wanted to do was make Alison feel comfortable, and she held the goblet of water towards her calmly. "You fainted.. Are you okay?" Bridget may have known a little about dealing with these situations, but she was still an ordinary ten year old, and the young girl's brain was having a hard time dealing with it all. She was infact surprised by her sudden burst of knowledge. Bridget had never thought of herself as a clever person, or one who could take control when it was necessary, however she had proved herself wrong. She was very good at dealing with people who needed help. It made her glow inside, as though she had really done something to be proud of. It was a strange but comforting feeling, and a nice change from fear and stress.

Not wanting to make Alison pass out again, but wanting to let her know a little of the truth, Bridget hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Your Mother.. Is my dad's sister," Bridget smiled reassuringly, as though nothing was wrong, and it was fairly convincing. There was still a hint of doubt in her voice, but it could have been blamed on nerves considering she had just dealt with someone who had fainted. "I was scared for a moment because.. Well, my dad's in Azkaban, but he didn't do anything wrong. They made a mistake," she lied through her teeth. "I thought you might hate me if you knew. I'm sorry," she sighed, hoping this was enough to convince Alison that everything was well. She put on her best smile to back it up, though it was a sad smile.

Alison was still thinking about the whole thing of them being cousins, when Bridget explained how they were acquainted. Alison was not feeling light headed any more and just listened to Bridget. ''How can my mother not wanting to tell, I have more family.'' Alison muttered slowly, more as in a whisper ''Why would she do so secretly about everything?'' Alison could feel that the girl did not say the whole truth, she knew that some people moved their feet when they lied and Alison knew that Bridget was not telling the truth at least not the whole truth. Alison would see Bridget again and she knew herself that she was not ready for the whole truth, so she decided to peacefully wait till the girl knew and Alison herself was ready for the truth. Alison could never meet her uncle, he was locked up in Azkaban. ''Do I have more family then?''

Alison her family was getting bigger and Alison did not mind, she had a small family now and liked to have a bigger one and the girl her new cousin seemed really sweet. Alison wanted her bracelet back, it was her shield and it gave her more confidence. The whole thing was confusing and she saw one thing that made her think they were really family. Bridget her hair had almost the same colour as her mum, not the bright red. but Alison her mum had a faint red streak in her hair. Alison tucked a hair back in it original place and still looked at Bridget, looking for something that this all would be a dream and that every moment now Alison would wake up and found her bracelet resting on her arm.

Bridget sat awkwardly on her hands, willing herself not to blurt out information that would hurt Alison. It was so tempting, and not because she wished to be unkind, but because she wanted a friend she could share her feelings with. However, she knew this was not the friend, no matter how lovely she was. It would be too hard on the girl who was already in shock after only hearing that the two of them were cousins. She shook her head, deep in thought before realizing that she appeared to be replying no to Alison's question. Bridget quickly snapped out of her daydream. "I mean, yes, you do. I think your Mother was probably ashamed to know us. My side of the family has quite a history of.." Bridget couldn't bring herself to say it. She clamped her eyes shut, swallowing her fear. She knew she had to admit that it was true at some point, but the pain boiling up inside her made her panicky and afraid. Now was not the time. "It doesn't matter. Sorry. It's just that my family is a bit odd, and I don't blame your Mother for not wanting to talk about us." At that moment, Bridget felt a strange weight in her jeans pocket. She gasped, unsure of what to think. Fumbling in her pockets, she pulled out a small, silver bracelet. Even more shocked, it took a moment to register that upon feeling such an extreme emotion, one of those strange things had happened. She held it out to Alison, still looking a little bewildered. "I didn't steal it, I swear.. It just happened," she mumbled, praying inwardly she would understand and turning a rather embarrassing shade of pink.

Alison did not know what to say, she was still a bit shaken up about the whole fact of them being cousins. Alison brushed her hand trough her hair, dropping some of the hairs on the ground. ''No, I think my mum was just waiting for the right moment to tell me, she thought that I could not handle the truth.'' Alison said to the girl, she was quiet and calm again and could think straight. Alison liked this girl and wondered why her mother had not told about her, but she must be very young when the whole thing happened between her and her brother. Alison liked Bridget and hoped that the two of them would have a great time at Hogwarts together. ''I do not care if they are odd, or purple or blue.'' Alison paused before speaking again ''They are my family and I want to know my family. '' Alison muttered to Bridget, she was rambling.

Alison looked at Bridget with an odd expression in her eyes, there was something in her pocket Alison was sure about that. Bridget must have found her bracelet, but with all the stress and cropped up emotions she must have forget that she had stuck it in her pocket. Alison thought about what the last name on her bracelet must have done to Bridget, she almost thought it was sad that the girl had seen her bracelet. Alison had got the bracelet from her mother, it was almost an family heirloom since every Alice and Alison had the bracelet in their possession. Alison her mums name was Alison too, but she had changed it since Alison was born, they did not like the junior and senior part. Alison took the bracelet from Bridget her hand and looked at her with a happy expression, she could not help herself and take Bridget in a tight hug. ''Oh, thank you so much for finding my bracelet, I hope that the name on it did not make you sad even more about your dad.'' Paige mumbled and rambled, but she was glad that her bracelet was finally back into her possession.
