Open Looking For Fun

Valeria hadn't bothered to get a date for the valentines day dance, she knew she'd have more fun with a date but she also had other things to do and just hadn't had the time to find a boy she could date. The girl wasn't however going to let the lack of a date put her down, she hadn't had a date formally to the yuleball and she'd still spent time with a boy. So there was no reason that this couldn't work out in her favour. The ravenclaw had a beautiful dress on, she was twirling in it at every occasion, she'd made sure her make up and her hair were sitting perfectly. She knew she was stunning and now she was going to have a really great night partying, dancing and maybe, hopefully kissing at least one boy. She made her way to the drinks and was being eagle eyed for the people around her. ​

 

[Caleb Thorne]

Caleb was starting to think that school dances weren't all they were made up to be, and it wasn't just because he didn't have a date. He had considered not even coming tonight but if he had to chose between staying in his room all night with his boring roommates or suffer the dance alone the decision was easy. He was here after all. He kept to the sidelines and spotted Valeria spinning in a ridiculous dress all by herself. "You really know how to put on a show." he called out to her as she passed by him.

Valeria glanced at the boy who spoke, his name was Caleb or something. She didn't know him very well, but he was a cute boy and she'd never say no to speaking to a cute boy. She gave a little giggle and then did a twirl right in front of him. "Well, when you look like me, it doesn't make sense to not show off," Valeria replied. "You don't show off?" she asked, he was a cute boy so it made sense to her than someone would show off. Of course she didn't know anything about him, so maybe he didn't like showing off. ​

Caleb raised an eyebrow at her response. She wasn't even trying to be humble but on some level he could appreciate that directness. "If you insist." he said coolly, not wanting to give her the satisfaction of agreeing with her. She was pretty he would give her that but he wasn't exactly interested. "In my own way, I guess." he shrugged but hadn't really thought about it like that before. He wasn't really sure if there was anyone he wanted to show off for. He usually didn't care too much about what he wore but maybe he should.

Valeria smiled at Caleb with a little giggle at his words, thinking it an odd way of responding but she knew not everyone appreciated her directness when it came to her self confidence. But she wasn't about to be humble about anything. She considered what he said and then shrugged, "Would you want to show off?" she offered, holding out her hand to him, indicating lightly to the dance floor. She was almost sure the boy would turn it down, but she was looking for a cute boy and to have fun. ​
