Kairi hated breaks. She never knew if she was being shipped back to the home or off to some family that largely just ignored her. Of course this time she'd been sent off to a couple who had only wanted the money and had pretended she didn't exist. She'd have rathered she'd had the time to go see Daiki and his mother- his mother loved her, and it was comforting, but she just didn't get the chance to see her much anymore.
Kairi had been trying to read, but her books she'd borrowed were just making her sad. How did she always end up with found family tropes that just made her feel more lonely? She sighed, and walked herself down to the library. She knew if she found Daiki he'd hang out with her, but she didn't want to think about his mother again right now, didn't want to miss her. Feeling blue, Kairi walked up to the Librarians desk and put her books on the counter. "I'd like to return these?" She offered in a small voice, just staring at the books as she slid them over the counter.
