Athene sat cross legged in the chair, with her head in her arms on the novel open on the table. Her hair was loose, once again, because she hadn't bothered to tie it up. Through the thin blank strands she stared without seeing at the other students in the library. All in groups, studying together, or playing chess, or whispering. 'Friends.'</COLOR>

It had been a long day. Not physically, but emotionally. It was something about being alone all the time, about only having herself for company. She was always trapped in her own mind, thinking about everything. She didn't think that it was very healthy, but what could she do? She sighed and sat up. She'd been in the library over an hour, but the book was still open on page one.

[color=b8860b]Lemina entered the library and sat down at one of the small tables. She sighed, "So much to do." Since she'd been sick the first few weeks of term she had a lot of work to catch up on. And then more just piled on top. She felt alone, with her academic troubles she didn't have a lot of time to see her friends, which just made it worse.

She was going to study in the common room, yet it would have held too many distractions. This was best, doing it alone. Although, she still hoped, subconciously there'd be one of her friends there to study with. Looking around the table, there was only one other girl. Athene. She'd met her a few times yet never had a proper chance to talk and get to know her.

Having heard of a few of her adventures, Lemi wasn't sure if she was the best one to have for company, yet was determined. However she waited, gave it a few moments in case Athene decided to start a conversation.
