Loki is tall, but not ridiculously so, and is very well built. He has a handsome, tanned face with dark brown eyes and a solid jaw, which is sometimes framed by his jet black hair. At other times, his hair is slicked back to keep it it out of his face. He has a straight nose and thin lips. He also has a long scar that runs from the base of his left ear to the center of his center of his lower neck, which he received during the battle at Hogwarts in 1998.

Loki was born a twin to Olive Perthro in 1960 in Greece. He was a loud, adventurous young boy, while his sister was quiet and timid. Their family were extravagantly rich, and both children got everything they wanted, whenever they wanted. Loki grew up spoiled, big headed and excessively proud. Him and his sister were not particularly close, despite being twins. While Loki was never actually cruel to her, he made no effort to include her in his life.

Both Loki and Olive were sorted into Slytherin when their family moved to England, and still they continued to be opposites. Where Loki was popular, excellent at quidditch, and had perfect grades, his sister struggled to keep up with school work and very few people even knew her name. Loki grew to despise Olive, finding her weak and useless and a threat to his social life. It was the day before they both graduated from Hogwarts that he murdered her, hanging her from the West Tower. The Daily Prophet announced it as suicide, and Loki's parents were distraught.

Since his third birthday Loki had been engaged to Liesl Dotterweich, a gentle Slytherin girl just a few months younger than him. She was beautiful and popular despite her kindness, and came from a family just as pure and rich as his. Loki was 22 when he married her in 1982, but the marriage was souly to bring the two houses together. He had no love for her, and abused her even in the early years of the marriage. In 1983 Leisl gave birth to a son, Leonardo, and a year later they had a daughter, Julie. Loki loved Leonardo, and raised him himself. Julie he ignored, and often abused. She was left to be raised by the nurses, and Liesl was only occasionally given permission to see her. Six years later, Thanatos was born. Loki had great plans for him, but they were abolished when, despite raising him just as he had Leonardo, Thanatos proved to have a shy, awkward nature. At the age of seven he was given the same lifestyle as Julie.

In 1993 Liesl, after years of being abused by Loki, began to show signs of insanity. A year after Julie was sorted into Slytherin, Liesl was sent to Azkaban for murdering a Muggle. Loki quickly forgot about her.

In her third year at Hogwarts, Julie ran away from home, and to this day Loki still has no idea what became of her. Leonardo grew into a fine young man, and was popular at school, but his grades were slightly below average in everything but charms and transfiguration. Thanatos never dated, had few friends but perfect grades, his bes subject being potions. Loki stopped abusing him, deciding that he may grow up to be a useful son after all.

In the year 1997, Loki fell in love with a younger woman and joined the Death Eaters in England. After the war at Hogwarts, Loki had to leave his home and go into hiding like the rest of the Death Eaters. He took his love with him, and they lived alone for months, until they were contacted by another Death Eater. Three years later, his lover died in childbirth. Loki named the boy Nero.

Loki began to make annual trips back to his old home, Perthro Manor, to see Leonardo. Leonardo had married a woman named Patricia, and Thanatos was running a bar. Loki would have preferred better of them both, but being a convicted Death Eater on the run, he had little time to criticize his children. He spent a lot of time with the Death Eaters, helping them recruit, teaching them and learning from them. They lived beneath a Muggle City, and kept away, mostly, from the Wizarding community. Some of the Death Eaters chose new names so as to make it harder for them to be tracked if another Death Eater was caught and put under questioning. Loki took on the name Maleficus.

Loki was one of the few who traveled out of the Muggle city a lot. He spent a lot of time abroad. He hated being stuck in the one place, and needed something to do. He traveled from country to country, leaving Nero with the Death Eaters, and hunted down the witches and wizards on his family tree. By this point, he was already wavering on the line that divided sanity from insanity, and it took nothing from him to kill the family members that he didn't find worthy enough. He didn't tell anyone that Nero was his son, just that he was a boy of very pure blood, and shouldn't be killed. Most of the Death Eaters didn't question this, as they were much to afraid of Loki.

In 2008 there was an arguement between Loki and another, the two strongest Death Eaters of the group. The arguement was over whether or not the Death Eaters should move to above ground. This lead to a duel off, which Loki won. He was then made Head Death Eater, much to his delight. His first move was the bring the Death Eaters to a new home, a mansion in the middle of Blackthorn Forest.

The Death Easters grew large over the following years, and in 2013 Loki met up with an old friend, Valcan, who he hadn't seen since the Death Eaters split up in 1999.

Loki visited Perthro Manor in 2017, having not visited in a few years, to find that Patricia had had children - twins - who were now nearly ten years old. Loki was furious that the children's birth had been kept from him, and faked the murder of one of the two girls. He had meant to murder the child, but hearing her voice and seeing her face, he was reminded of his own twin sister, and for the first time in his life he felt remorse. He took her back to Blackthorn and forced her to work as the Death Eater's servant. Her name was Artemis Perthro.
