Messy as art was, Zara always managed to appear clean and orderly. She took great detail in cleaning under her fingernails and any excess paint that had made it’s way into her dark hair. The only thing she never minded to be riddled with it were a pair of denim over-alls that were oversized. Her mother had bought it so she could grow into them but at this rate she expected it would take her until she was at least seventeen to do so. The thought of it seemed eons away now, feeling so trapped by Hogwarts walls and yet freed by them too. Sometimes the girl felt entirely at home here, able to be free from certain aspects from home that she and her dear Lennon were faced with but she felt suffocated just as much. Those were for reasons she couldn’t quite put into words or even understand entirely which had made the artistic escape she had all the more important. Though she loved art and had for some years, only recently picking up a brush herself, Zara was in no way prepared to wear that part of her heart on her sleeve - or on her hair. Her most recent piece left her feeling pleased with herself, even for a few technical flaws and perhaps colouring errors, so with a clean exterior she walked down from Ravenclaw tower to the Great Hall for a bit of lunch, wondering if she would see someone she knew and actually enjoyed the company of.

The excessive amounts of studying in the library was slowly starting to get to Lilyanna. She was feeling extremely tired and hungry and all she wanted was for the semester to be over so she could start preparing herself for her third year. The second year hated Hogwarts but she also loved it too. She learnt something new there every day and the library had offered her more books than what she could ever imagine. It was only the people there that made the girl want to leave and never come back. The majority of the people were annoying and could be extremely stupid when they wanted to be and it was a shame that Hogwarts accepted such beings. Nevertheless, Lilyanna tried her best to stay away from everyone away in her dormitory when her roommates were too busy out on the grounds or socialising with friends to stay. It wasn't until lunchtime that Lilyanna decided that she would finally take a break and give her stomach something to eat. She grudgingly made her up from the dungeons to the great hall, trying her best not to look as tired as she was feeling. As she stepped inside, she perked up when she noticed someone she could talk to and walked over to Zara with a small smile on her face, unsure whether or not talking to her was the right thing to do. "Hello," Lilyanna said tentatively, feeling the blood rush to her face. They hadn't spoken in such a long time that the Slytherin was unsure whether or not she still remembered her.

Zara hadn't noticed a friendly face approaching her until she was spoken to at which point her face broke into a smile. As good as it would be to see someone in particular, to talk to her about Zara's now finished project of which the special girl was the inspiration for, she was still very happy to see Lilyanna. It had been a bit longer than she wished it that they had spoken properly, outside of nods and smiles in the corridors. "Hi. Care to join?" she asked, offering the girl to take the seat across from her at the Ravenclaw table despite her difference in house.

Lilyanna was happy that Zara had spoken back to her and was glad that she still seemed to remember her. The Slytherin just wanted to be closer with someone in her own year, rather than always befriending people that are older than her. It was nice to see that someone was eager for her company, but Lilyanna didn't know how to respond to the kind offer. Of course she wanted to sit with Zara but Lilyanna had never sat at the Ravenclaw table before and, even though it may not seem like it, it seemed much more different than sitting at the Slytherin table to Lilyanna. Nonetheless, the second year nodded her head and proceeded to sit down across from her friend, already feeling quite awkward about it all. "How have you been lately?" she asked, feeling as though that would start a conversation.
