Even now, since going into his thirties, Dietrich Metzger continued to be one of the star players on his team. As the seeker, he sought out the most attention. He gained it too, and now that he was in the spotlight so much, he did his best not to allow his children in the same spotlight. The people would be awful to invade in their lives. He would hate that more than anything. Dietrich might have had two children with a woman he was no longer seeing, or never saw to begin with, but he was still a really great dad. Dietrich heard great stories from Erik on how his sister, Belladonna, being a great chaser, just like he used to be. Dietrich was one of the proudest dads in history when he heard about that, but unfortunately, she inherited his clumsiness, and also, his hot-headed attitude when he was a younger boy. Oh boy, was he hot-headed, and also shamelessly flirted wtih everything that walked. Now, everything was so different. He was on his own, and he also felt like he was grown up. He matured since he first arrived onto the team. The team was a huge part of his life.

It had been a while since he caught up with an old friend, another teammate of his. Married with step-children. Dietrich had some news for him, something he kept from the spotlight and everyone asking him questions over his personal life. Dietrich sent out a letter to Andrew Belo to come meet him at a familiar restaurant around town. Dietrich had a craving for fries, and he needed them. He just hoped that Andrew would come. He wanted the friend to know that he was dating someone, a girl. That might be different since all Andrew saw was him dating men.

Andrew could count the number of true friends that he had in one hand. As someone with a great deal of money, Andrew had learned to distrust people from an early age. He'd learned that people would use him to obtain benefits for themselves and discard him when they were done. It had left the guy with a sour taste in his mouth during his teen years, something that had continued as he had grown. His wife, Evette, could relate which was why they got on so well and why their relationship worked. With others though, Andrew usually preferred to keep things close. He had no problems with the media descriptions of himself as an arrogant, quick to anger beater. Those who were close to him knew what the truth was and that was good enough for him.

Stepping into the familiar restaurant, Andrew took off his shades and allowed his eyes to wander around the place until they fell on the table with one of the few other people he considered a friend. Busy with their lives,it had been a few weeks since the men had been able to have a deep conversation. Speaking quickly to the hostess who was quite familiar with the men as they frequented this place often enough during the season, Andrew finally began making his way to the table. "How many times this week does this make? 3? 4?" he asked with a smirk before greeting Dietrich, his teammate and friend. "The usual" he told the waiter who had quickly stepped forward to fill his glass with water, the muggle way. It was quaint. For him, the usual was ribs and a baked potato. Andrew picked up his glass and took a drink. "We should be part owners of this place by now" he half-joked. Andrew had seriously considered making an offer on the place, but the owner seemed pretty set on his squib daughter taking over when he finally died.

Dietrich wondered how Andrew was doing and he knew that his adopted, or something, kids were going to school soon. His own kids were already in school, and Erik was so old now. He could not believe it. Erik was going into his fifth year! Dietrich wanted more little babies. He wondered if Winnie would give him more babies. They were together now, so maybe? The part-veela looked at Andrew before he let out a soft sigh. This was nice, being here. "I lost count by now, to be honest." At least he still had a good metabolism, enough to where he could train off the extra calories that he gained from eating here. He did not mind, he liked it here, and the restaurant was always good. The food was excellent all of the time. Even the waiters here thought that he was still swinging in the opposite direction. He kept his love life so secret, it was impressive that he managed to handle Winnie while staying out of the media's eyes. He looked to the waiter that was wanting to take his order before he thought about it. Maybe he would have his usual too. He said that he wanted what he always had, the waiter understood. How nice!

His usual was a bacon cheeseburger with nothing on it but extra bacon, and a super large order of fries. Andrew mentioned that they should be part owners, and he thought about it. He actually liked the sound of that. "Actually, let's! We need a restaurant together. It would be amazing." The professional seeker wondered if that was a good idea. He was a little older now, and he might need to stop playing Quidditch. He had played for over a decade! "Any restaurant. But anyway, how is Evette doing? And are the quads almost ready to start school?" Dietrich did not want to really press about that subject. He didn't know if the children not being his would hurt him, but he didn't know much about all that. He just hoped that the children were doing fine, and if they knew who their father's side of the family was.
