[Icarus Stratis]

Icarus nodded as Kida was explaining what an eight months old could do. He had no idea when children were getting their first teeth or when they were starting talking. He had never experienced a baby from so close. When his brother was at a similar age, he was around two to three years old. Too young to care.
Although this first close encounter with a baby was making him nervous if not a little bit scared, he was also feeling a close rapport. Icarus was going to lift Scarlet a littlie bit with both hands into the air to make her 'fly' but she responded by tossing the blossom he had offered her, on his forehead.
"That must be the first time that a woman returns me the flowers I have offered her." he joked as Scarlet kept dancing up and down tirelessly. "I don't know if you would like to see her as a fearsome beater but I think she will become agreat chaser." he said to Kida, judging from the way her daughter, liked tossing things around.

"No not at all. It's fine." he replied to Kida as he was making a grimace to Scarlet to amuse her. Marshmallow who was standing behind him, decided that he wanted some attention as well and he barked with a moving tail.
"Doggy wants to play with you?" he asked Scarlet in his arms. Icarus took out of his pocket a small, sponge ball and gave it to Scarlet that filled her whole little palm. "Throw it to the doggy." he urged her.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida giggeled when Icarus said that Scarlet was the first time a woman has returned flowers that he's offered 'Don't take Any offence to her Icarus, maybe she was offering your flowers' The Quidditch player smiled cheekily at her comment, she remembered that Icarus had bought her flowers once. Kida made a shocked face when Icarus mentioned Scarlet being a Chaser, she didn't mind what Scarlet did when she grew up but Kida decided to play the planned mother role for fun 'Oh, No way, Scarlet is going to be a Beater and take on my roll and win. How dare you suggest any different!' she said with a stocked face which she turned into a grin, she shoved him lightly again.

Kida looked at the Dog named Marshmallow and Icarus said that she wanted to play, Kida's heart beat picked up she didn't know if Icarus was going to put Scarlet down infront of the Dog, Scarlet hadn't been near Animals before, Kida wouldn't even dare change into her Animagus form near her. Icarus got a ball out and she visibly relaxed. Scarlet grabbed the ball in her hand and went to chew it but Kida quickly put her hand on Scarlets arm pushing the ball away from her mouth, Kida made a throwing action and Scarlet squealed with delight and threw the ball which made itself a good Meter and a half away. Kida clapped her hands 'Good Girl!' she said with a grin as she ran her hand over Scarlets soft browny blonde hair.

Kida smiled at Icarus, 'Are you okay with her?' she asked curiously.

Icarus laughed when Kida suggested that maybe Scarlet wanted to return back to him the flower he had offered her. "That would be a first time as well. Never received flowers from a woman before." he grinned.
He knew that she was kidding when she stated that her daughter was going to take over her legacy as a beater.
"Pfff beaters are so boring. She's going to become a top scorer of course, right Scarlet?" of course he wasn't expecting an answer from the toddler but he wanted to tease a little bit her mother.

Scarlet attempted to find out what was like the ball's taste but Kida prevented her from doing so.
"That reminds me a lot of my brother. When he was at Scarlet's age, he used to put everything in his mouth. Once, he had shoved in his mouth a ball of toilet paper and almost choked. Thankfully, my grandmother noticed and helped him." he said, wondering if he had offered to his family such kind of moments when he was that young. Scarlet decided that since she couldn't chew on the rubber ball, to toss it to Marshmallow who was waiting excitedly with its tail waving like a flag. The pug pounced at the ball but lost soon interest when it stopped rolling.
Rundown by the intense heat, the dog yawned and collapsed under the shade of a nearby bush.
"Aha, I told you she is going to become a great chaser! One toss and she knocked out the keeper." he compared his exhausted dog with a keeper. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." he said and sniffed the air. "Although, I'm pretty sure that Scarlet might need a new diaper." he said as he had recognised the source of the smell. He had totally forgot that toddlers were wearing diapers and they needed to be changed regurlarly. He hoped at least that Scarlet wasn't going to make him change her as well. He had done enough progress for today.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida smiled at Icarus when he said that he had never received flowers from a woman before, she bent down and picked up a small daisy from the ground and tucked it behind his ear 'There you go, Now you've received two flowers from two woman in little less than an hour' she said with a smile Kida looked to check on her brother and noticed he was trying to climb a tree, she shook her head as he tried to reach a branch to climb but he wasn't tall enough just yet.
Kida pulled a mock shocked face 'Beaters are not boring, I am one of the top beaters in Quidditch and I've been a Quidditch player since I was in my second year of school, we make the game interesting, Scarlet has a powerful throw because she can swing a bat with power just like her mother' she said defending her title 'You remember how powerful my bludgers are don't you Icarus' she said with a wink. Kida hoped Icarus didn't bring up that day since he walked out the front door that day.

Kida giggled softly when he mentioned he almost choked on a roll of toilet paper 'Oh dear, luckily.. Scarlet doesn't like putting things in her mouth she just likes drooling on them' she said with a small shake of her head. Kida watched Marshmallow the pug lose interest in the ball and she clapped her hands at the dog trying to get him more excited but he collapsed under a bush and she laughed 'that's one Enthusiastic dog, I've seen my cat play more!'
Icarus mentioned Scarlet being a chaser that in one toss she knocked out the keeper 'Run in the family, we're both Knock outs!' she gave Icarus a wink before focusing her attention on Scarlet who was pulling "the face" Kida sighed and slumped in her seat 'Scarlet, you couldn't have lasted a few more hours' she said with a teenage groan to her voice which almost showed exactly how young she really was.

Kida held her arms out for Icarus to hand Scarlet back to her, she wouldn't Expect Icarus to change Scarlet, she wasn't sure if he knew what to do or exactly how old his brother was to him. Scarlet pulled a satisfied grin at Icarus 'Come here my Princess' she said as she took Scarlet from Icarus and picked up her baby bag and hoisted Scarlet onto her hip. 'I'll be back' she said with a smile, Kida turned around and called Percy over. 'Would you mind watching Perseus for a bit?' she asked with a kind smile, Scarlet had started to pull at Kida's hair with curiosity. Kida gave Icarus a I'll pay you back later if you do this for me smile before she walked off to the public bathrooms to change Scarlet.

 

[Perseus Ambrosia]

Perseus saw another boy come over from where her sister was, he was slightly confused, if Kida knew him why didn't Perseus, he watched the boy go over to near where Scarlet was and he instantly thought that he was relieving him of his duty to be on baby watch so his priority's went elsewhere, and by elsewhere he meant up in the clouds. Perseus ran around for a bit and tried to climb trees the other boy was putting his ice cream on a tortoise and he huffed. Perseus ran to the biggest tree and tried to climb it to show off when he heard Kida came over and Took Scarlet away, he smiled then ran off in another direction to annoy some girls.

Perseus played around for a bit when he heard Kida call him and signal for him to come over and he groaned and made his way over, she noticed the baby bag and he guessed Scarlet needed changing so now he had to baby sit this guy who she was talking to. Perseus came over and looked at the man curiously as if he was studying him.

Perseus kept focus for a while before he broke concentration and asked 'My name's Perseus, What's yours?... Are you and my Sister going to have babies? Perseus couldn't deal with any more kids around the house, Scarlet was annoying enough as it is. Perseus watched him closely just in case he was going to lie to him. After a moment of awkward Silence Perseus decided continue 'Scarlet is annoying as it is, more babies would be annoying... ' Perseus wanted to make himself clear but his short attention span made him notice the dog under the bush and stare at the dog for a bit. Perseus changed his focus back to the man. Perseus wasn't good with knowing awkward situation or when things were the right thing to say or not. 'Did you know that I'm going to go to Hogwarts in.. uhmm.. Three years' he said like it was the proudest thing ever. 'Which School did you go to?' he added, Perseus started to fidget with his clothes, his sister had said something about him having acute ADHD which meant he found it hard to stay still most of the time and his focus wasn't that good.

The Young Wizard looked at Icarus with a bit of Surprise 'You have a wand, can you show me some magic?' he asked curiously rather eagerly.

Icarus smiled when Kida offered him a flower as well. A little bit gentler than her daughter.
"Not exactly the kind of gift that a girl is supposed to give to a guy but thanks." he said when Kida tucked the daisy behind his ear. "I've never questioned your skills as a beater. I'm just saying that you haven't really played Quidditch if you haven't played chaser. That's where all the magic happens." he insisted, knowing that she wasn't going to draw back as well.
He turned to see his dog that had took sanctuary under a bush.
"He's quite timid and lazy I must admit but I like him nonetheless." he said and whistled at his dog to call it over.
Marshmallow heaved his head to investigate the source of the whistle. In the end, he decided that it wasn't worth it and lowered his head to the ground. "Maybe he needs some training." Icarus shook slightly his head at his dog's disobedience.
Icarus gave Scarlet to Kida to change her with a smile. Scarlet's expression was priceless.
"No, not at all." he replied when Kida requested him to keep an eye on her half brother. He glanced at his own cousin who was now absorbed in a conversation with a girl of the same age and grinned.

Kida's brother came over as Kida walked away with Scarlet. Icarus felt that the boy was x-raying him as he was looking at him persistantly. He took off the daisy from behind his ear, realising that this might was the reason why the boy was staring at him. The silence was awkward but Icarus wasn't an expert with children, he didn't know how to start a conversation with them. It was different with his cousins. He knew their interests and as far as he was concerned, a reference to the word 'Quidditch' was enough to make them talking for ages.
"Hey Perseus. I'm Icarus, nice to meet you." his smile disappeared abruptly when the boy made his first question.
"Babies? No...I don't think so." he replied hesitantly, not knowing if Kida has talked to her brother about their past. Icarus found his smile again when Perseus shared that he was finding babies, Scarlet included, annoying.
"I believe you'll find a great partner in crime when she'll get a little bit older." he pointed out, remembering when his brother was at an age that was boring but eventually turned a great company.
"Really? That's awesome! I'm teaching at Hogwarts you know. Better be a good student." he said, hoping he wasn't sounding too intimidating.
"I didn't go to Hogwarts. My school was far away but pretty similar. It has three houses instead of Hogwarts' four. You are familiar with Hogwarts houses, aren't you?" he asked the boy. His younger cousins were already informed by his older cousin, Minoas. The twins had already decided in which houses they wanted to be sorted.

Icarus realised that they boy noticed his wand that was jutting out his pocket.
"Sure! Let me try something cool." he said and drew his wand as he scanned the surrounding area.
He swished his wand and non-verbally a stone nearby hovered into the air.
"Aermeton!" he slashed with his wand into the air, aiming at the hovering stone.
Stripes of green wind shot in a straight line towards the target. Upon impact, the green wind slashed circularly the stone which dropped on the grass into smaller, sharp pieces. He waved once more his wand and the pieces zoomed together, uniting into the single stone that existed before his previous spell.
"You are going to learn some of this spells at school." he said looking at the stone that was lying a few meters away from them. "Which do you think will be your favourite lesson?" he asked Perseus.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida rolled her eyes at Icarus when he commented on having to play Chaser 'I fly along side chasers all the time, i know exactly what magic happens and half the time its a bludger flying right for their head' she said with her arms crossed to show off. Kida watched the Dog with his lack of excitement and seemed to lack obedience aswell. She tilted her head slightly like a dog confused as the dog used its last bit of energy to lift its head.. or so it seemed.
'Maybe a bit more training and a bit less food' she said with a small teetering laugh. Kida sighed at Scarlet as she held her in her arms Perseus started to walk over and Kida smiled, as she was walking away she could hear the start of Perseus' conversation and she knew that she had to hurry up to save Icarus from Perseus' Chatter.</COLOR>

Kida returned to see Icarus with Perseus showing him some magic, Kida shrugged and sat down on the bench they were originally sitting on to watch silently as Perseus watched Icarus. Kida sighed, she hadn't told Perseus she was an Animagus yet, she knew it would knock his socks off, maybe if Perseus started chanting Icarus' name she'd had to proove she was cooler. Kida shook her head at the thought trying to shake her competitive nature. 'And some of the Spells you will teach yourself cause the Professors are all stubborn and won't teach you more than what you need to know' she called out from her seat when she heared Icarus mention to Perseus about learning spells.

Kida sighed as Scarlet waved her arms around looking for something to pick up and play with, sometimes Kida wished Scarlet was a bit older so she could take care of herself, she felt trapped sometimes.

 

[Icarus Stratis]

Icarus wondered if he had satisfied the young boy's thirst to watch some spectacular magic. He knew from his cousins that children of that age were rather difficult and demanding. It had to be either a whole volcano sprouting out of the ground or nothing. He pocketed his wand and decided to talk about sports with Kida's young brother when her voice surprised him from somewhere behind them.
It didn't take him a long time to recover and let a brand new smirk shape on his face.
"Or maybe because the Ministry doesn't allow professors to teach to their students more than what they need to and want to have everything under control." he replied to Kida's mocking comment but he had turned to little Perseus while he was saying that. He knew that Kida's job in the Ministry was far from the regulations of the educational system but she was still working for it. Icarus had a general distaste about corrupted hierarchy and he wasn't agreeing with the learning programs that the Ministry had esablished at the school. It was covering just the basics and it was obvious that it needed further regulations.

What he saw coming his way, made him gasp in astonishment. His cousin was coming at their way casually but something wasn't right. His left hand had vanished completely. Icarus managed to appease his panic only when he noticed that there were no blood around and that his cousin hadn't cut off his own hand.
"I should have known better. Vanishing sickness is contagious, stay where you are." he ordered his cousin who looked something less than ecstatic about his new trait. Perseus' twin brother who was currently hospitalized at St. Mungos, had infected his twin as well..
"We have to get you to the hospital as well." Icarus informed his cousin who didn't look worried at all.
"Am I going to vanish completely?" asked the boy enthusiastically at the possibility of becoming an alive, invisibility cloak. Icarus ignored his exhilaration over the effects of the sickness and ordered him to stay away from anyone while he was going to say goodbye to Kida.

"I'm sorry but I have to get him to St Mungos. I totally forgot that vanishing sickness is contagious." he apologised and rolled his eyes as the two brothers seemed to be inseparable. They were both going to seizure a room in St. Mungos after all. He was feeling bad about the poor healers but at the same time glad that he hadn't become one as his parents were insisting.
"Umm...maybe we could get out for dinner some time. Whenever you have time." he suggested before an awkward silence lingered between them. "Okay, have to go. Bye." he said quickly and kissed her on the cheek. He smiled to Scarlet before rushing back to his cousin who had already became a spectacle for the visitors of the park. "Bye Perseus." he said to Kida's brother.
Perseus waved with his missing hand at Kida.
"Give me your hand!" Icarus said to Perseus.
"But I don't have one." the boy replied with a mischievous expression all over his face. It was obvious he was enjoying that.
"Very funny. C'mon!" Icarus rolled his eye and gave him his hand.
"Promise me at least that you will let me scare Theseus when we get there." the boy insisted and with that, both of them apparated out of sight.

 

[Kida Frost]

Kida ignored Icarus mocking her comment she was going to think of something witty to respond with when she was Icarus' Cousin walking their way without a left hand, Kida giggeled she shifted Scarlet to sit on her hip and smiled. Kida decided to pass Scarlet to her brother Perseus 'Stay where you are' she said firmly not wanting him or Scarlet to get near Perseus. Kida walked over to Icarus who was standing with a slowly fading Perseus. Icarus appologised to her and she smiled 'It's okay Icarus, i wouldn't expect you to stay here while he slowly dissapears'

Kida knelt down so she was closer to Perseus' Height, she wasn't worried about catching the sickness, she was extremely healthy herself 'It was Great to meet you Perseus, Nag your Cousin when you want to come over and play some Quidditch, i have a small Quidditch Pitch in my back yard and a Small Hut full of every broom imaginable' she said with a smile as she held her hand up 'High Five!' she said hoping Perseus would find humor in the gesture.

Kida stood up and smiled at Icarus 'Dinner sounds Great' she said with a smile, he Kissed her on the cheek and rushed back to Perseus. Kida walked over t o her Brother and took Scarlet off him and smiled at Icarus Apparated away.

The Brunette looekd at Perseus who was giving her a dorky grin as if to say Kida and Icarus Sitting in a Tree.. You're Gross she smiled and walked back to her bags and flung them over her shoulder 'Come on Perseus, time to go home you're Filthy and need a Bath' she said shaking her head 'Ashton is coming over tomorrow and you promised to clean up your room' she said feeling a bit old as she said it.
Perseus started to Pester her with questions as to why they couldn't dissapear like Icarus and Perseus did and she sighed 'Because i don't want to Apparate with Scarlet' she said as he danced around her asking questions about Icarus 'How did you two meet?, Are you going to Have Babys? Am i going to be an Uncle? are you going to get Married? Can i be the ring boy? How old is he? What does he do?, Does he play Quidditch?, Have you versed him before?, When is he coming over next?, Can he teach me some Magic?' Kida groaned and Scarlet giggeled as they walked back home.
