Libby was excited and nervous at the same time. It was that time of year again when Libby's birthday arrived, and this year she was 15. She made her way down and out of the Hufflepuff common room, and was heading to Brightstone. There she was going to meet some friends.
It was snowing now as winter was at it's coldest, and Libby decided to wait outside a friendly looking restaurant for her friends. She wasn't too sure how many people were arriving, or how many of them were bringing guests. She also realized that this would be a hard time for some of her friends, as some of them wern't exactly the best of friends. She just hoped it would go smoothly. She lent against the shop wall, just outside, looking out for them.

Larissa waited around Brightstone.
She had been in the Hog's Head speaking to a close friend who was also the guest she was bringing with her.
Larissa found Libby outside a shop and gave a half smile, pulling out a small parcel from her pocket.
"Happy Birthday, Libs." she said, handing over the tiny parcel wrapped in sky blue.
Inside was a little necklace with a purple heart in the center.
"Yeah.. I er.. I didn't know what to get you." She smiled.
Then Larissa turned. "Come on," she said, beckoning to the guest she had invited.

Why Mark had been convinced to come to a fifteen year old's birthday party, he didn't know. But he was devoted to Larissa, and honestly, he had nothing better to do. Still, he felt a little foolish. Following Larissa over, Mark nodded at the other girl. "Libby, I believe?" he asked, just checking to make sure. "I'm Mark. Nice to meet you," he offered, extending his hand. Mark had been working on his social skills in order to hold proper conversation and draw less attention to himself. He doubted he'd have much in the way of proper conversation, though. Probably sit next to Larissa and hear comments on how he could almost be her father. I know it looks bad, but she's just a friend for the moment...she's only fifteen after all.

Larissa knew that this was probably awkward for Mark but she was fifteen now. She could handle her own problems
-Well, that's what she thought.
Larissa herself had been surprised that she could convince Mark to join her.
His presence made her smile. The dark presence of an older man who could protect her gave her something to feel good about.
Larissa hadn't felt this way since.. since.. Well, having Grakul around.
She knew some people would think that a fifteen year old and a Death Eater could never be close friends but in all honesty, Larissa didn't care. She had found her life line and she.. Well, she felt a different emotion towards Mark which she doubted he felt in return..
And though people probably would have called it a 'school girl's crush', Larissa thought it more than that. She thought that perhaps she.. She loved him.

Libby smiled as Larissa joined her, and she thanked her for the gift. "You're the first here" she added. She was quite suprized when Larissa beckoned her guest, and a dark man approached. She did quite a good job of hiding her suprize, and shaked his hand when he offered it to him. "Yes, I'm libby" she replied nodding, before turning her gaze back to Lariisa giving her a look as if to say, are you kidding?.

Jacob walked out of the castle gates making his way through the forest path towards Brightstone village. It was Liberty's birthday today and Jacob had been invited to a small gathering of friends. He didn't know who else was coming but he knew whom he was taking with himself.

He currently was single and taking a girl as a friend might let them misunderstand and think that he was bringing them as his date.So he had decided that he would take his cousin Hannah who was new in New Zealand and would join Hogwarts NZ soon.It would be a good way to keep her from getting bored and he would also introduce him to Libby and Larissa.

After a short walk he emerged on to the main street of Brightstone village. It was colder here in the village then in the forest. It was good Jacob had chosen a good outfit.Hannah was waiting for him in front of the Three Broomsticks Bar just like they had decided."Hi,"he greeted her with a wave and then beckoned her to follow him. They walked up the street and soon Jake spotted Libby and Larissa.

"Hey!Happy Birthday Libby!"he greeted her giving her a hug.He pulled back and then indicated to Hannah."Guys, meet my cousin Hannah.Hannah, this is Liberty and Larissa."he then said indicating to Libby and Lissy. He also noticed an older guy who was standing by them.He must be Larissa's date,Jake thought wondering if it was true that he was a death eater.

Hannah was waiting by the door of The Three Broomsticks. She had a small basket by her legs which was stuffed with blue blankets. She stood there in her outfit ,waiting for her cousin Jacob to appear. Her hair was being messed up by the strong cold wind that was blowing into her face.

As she was trying to get her hair out of her eyes she noticed a boy emerge from between the trees. It was Jacob."What took you so long?"she asked him in a whine as she walked after him."Oh,apparently you don't notice that this cold can freeze some one to death!"she exclaimed angrily when he didn't reply. But she didn't continue because she saw that he had seen the person he was finding.

Liberty was pretty. That was the best she could rate her compared to the girl who was standing beside her.It must be Larissa, she thought.Being part-veela was definitely something that showed. She was extremely beautiful and also blonde.Hannah smiled at them timidly and said,"Hey guys."She brought her hand forward to show the basket she was holding."Happy Birthday Liberty,"she said handing the basket to her,"Jake asked me to get you something and I was completely confused so...."Inside the basket was...
