[Nina Patrokov]

Nina walked up to the Owlrey lazily, she was bored and wanted to return a letter she had gotten from Brogan and from her Grandmother. When she reached the top she sighed and pulled down her shirt and took out some parchment and her quill and ink.

Dear Brogan,

Sorry for the late response from your letter, I've been extremely busy. The last class before exams have just happened and in two weeks time I have exams or are OWLs different? I don't remember what the Professors said, everything have been so crazy but I guess it's better then being dreadfully dull right? How have things been with you since I've seen you last? I hope you haven't gotten yourself in any more trouble.

So I was thinking when I can get out of school from break do you want to meet up somewhere? I'm not up for going to meet my Grandmother yet, at least not since I found out that she isn't even related to me. Did I tell you that? I've forgotten.

Well anyways, I miss you, can't wait to see you next.

Nina shrugged her shoulders as she read the letter over, it wasn't any work of literary genius but it was only a letter to Brogan, certainly it didn't matter. She sighed once and sent it off then left the Owlrey to go and study for OWLs.

 

[Brogan Swan]

Brogan was lounging in his brothers lounge when an owl flew through the open window and landed on his bare stomach. 'Who's writing to me?' He thought allowed, opening the letter.

Brogan read the letter smiling, Nina, He jumped up and grabbed some parchment and a muggle pen.

Nina,
Its fine babe, i understand. I wouldnt know anything about OWLs, all i know is that they're important. So good luck girl.
I crashed my bike, but i repaired it and i got away with out a scratch. I might apply for a job, but i have to be 17 right?
Sure! Id love to see you. Do you wanna come to my house for a day or two? I dont mind.
No, you didnt mention that, how come she's not related to you?
I hope everythings okay with you,
I miss you too.

He read it over and tied it back to the owls leg.
Brogan watched it fly off, then he returned to lying on the couch, reading a magazine.

Nina was sitting in her dorm room studying for her OWLs when a letter fell onto her Astronomy text book, she grinned wildly when she saw that it was from Brogan. As she read it she couldn't help but smile and blush at the same time before writing back to him.

Brogan,

No, I don't think you have to be seventeen, why don't you apply at H.D. I hear they are hiring. If not you could get a job as a librarian, I saw that HNZ is hiring, that would be great!
That sounds like fun, I'll write you when I'm free to leave the school.

It's really complex but here it is:

My Grandmother isn't my real Grandmother, my real one died about a week or so after my father was born, she and my Grandfather were having an affair all the while. So they got married, and she pretended that she was my father's mother the whole time, and I guess it just elevated from there. And apparently she's a witch! The only reason she told me any of this was because she wanted to know what happened with Alicia Barker. So you can see why it would be a little awkward for me, but I have to live with her, as I'm not going back to living with my parents.

Other then that I'm just perfect.

Nina tied it up to the owl and she went back to studying in her dorm room with an excited grin at the thought of seeing Brogan over the holidays.

Brogan was in the same position he was in when the first letter arrived, the only difference was he had some parchment and a pen lying on the couch next to him.
When the owl flew through the window, Brogan read through it, and sat up, replying quickly.

Nina,
Me? Work as a librarian? Mm, they wouldnt employ me, i got kicked out of school remember?
I might apply, at least id be able to see you.
Aw that sucks, well at least you got the truth at last? It would of been worse if you found out years from now.
Well you know your always welcome at mine, it gets awfully lonely there.

He tied the letter to the owl again, and lay back down, watching it fly away.

Nina smiled when she saw a new letter drop onto her lap. She opened it quickly and blushed inwardly as she read it then she began writing back to him quickly not realizing that she had written it on the back of an essay she wrote for Herbology.

Brogan,

I think they would, you're quite knowledgeable. And you don't have to have your full education to run a library, you should apply. You'd see me more then often, do you remember those days in the library back at HS? I remember them quite vividly, though I'm sure we wouldn't be allowed to make potions like we did before, you'd probably get fired and I would probably get kicked out of school. So perhaps we shouldn't do that. I suppose your right, it's just going to be a bit awkward at first.

She smiled wildly when she saw that Brogan wrote love as well, but she shrugged it off slightly when one of her roommates asked her what she was smiling at and sent the letter off to Brogan.

Brogan hadnt bothered to lie back down, he had pulled on his shirt and picked up his wand. When the owl returned he grabbed the letter, opened it and read through it.

Nina,
Okay i have to admit you dont need to be very brainy, i think i will apply. Hm yes i do remember, i dont think we should do that. It was a little messy.
Im just going home, im at Zaks, he says hi, and that he wants to see you soon.
I cant wait to see you again, its easy to miss you when ive got nothing else to think about.

He wrote the reply quickly and sent it off, he ran to his bike and zooooomed home, so he'd be there when the owl sent the reply.

Dear Zak,

It's been forever since I've heard from you! I can't believe you're in New Zealand, the three of us should hang out sometime, and you can bring which ever girl your dating at that time. I miss you tons!

Nina smirked inwardly as she teased Zak through the letter then began to write to Brogan.

Brogan,

Just a little messy, but I've improved my potion brewing ten fold, which is really good even for me! I hope when I graduate I can apply for a Professor! I just wrote Zak, I suggested that we should all hang out sometime, with what ever girl he is dating at that time.

You're sweet, I miss you as well, though I've got a million things to think about. Do you want to hang out some time tonight? I was considering sneaking out of the castle for the night anyways, I've got no classes at all tomorrow and it is friday anyways.

Nina shrugged her shoulders slightly then sent off both letters to Brogan and Zak with a bright grin.

 

[Brogan Swan]

Brogan was a little puzzled when two letters landed infront of him, but once he realized one was for Zak he put it on the counter and read the letter for him.
He replied quickly.

Nina,
Mm, i havnt, still as messy as ever! I suck totally at potions. Haha, yeah we should, it'll be good.
Id like that, we could maybe come hang out here, or maybe the three broomsticks again, its up to you i guess.
I'll pick you up outside HNZ?
I'd love to see you.

He smiled, excited about seeing her later. And sent the letter off.

Nina grinned and wrote back to Brogan quickly.

Brogan,

Sounds good, I'll meet you in a few.

Nina grinned and put her things away and began to get ready to meet Brogan.

Brogan read the letter, his grin wide. And replied.

I'll meet you outside the gates in an hour.

He sent it off, and went to shower and get ready.
