It had been a couple of days since Briar had been released from st mungo's. during that time she had had a mad time making sure that she had bought everything she needed for school. she also had to go through all sorts of boring precautions with the head master. the most interesting of which was a trip into the grounds to see a cavern that the student werewolves spent full moon nights (there had been quite a few other student werewolves before her, but she was the only one at the moment).
Briar woke up early on the morning of her first day of classes, she had had a poor nights sleep, and she had decided to spend the hour before the rest of the school woke up writing a letter to someone she had ran into over the break. she quickly got dressed and collected her belongings for the day. she made her way to the common room and wrote.
a short letter said:
Hello Dederick
as you can see i am still around, and feeling great, which is certainly a good thing. I'm okay, but after breaking my ankle, I had to go to st mungo's. goodness that place is boring, two weeks and i was about to go crazy. they said that when i broke it I got an infection, there is nothing they can really do about it, I just have to learn to live with it. But they gave me a disgusting bitter potions that will hopefully make it a little better. anyway incase you didn't return and see my note, i don't blame you, not at all.
hope to hear back from you
Briar
once she was happy with it and it didn't give too much away about what she was really talking about she got up and left for the owlery where she found one of the school owls after bribing it from its perch with she dried fruit and nuts she attached the letter to its leg and watched it go, wondering if it would find the boy, or if he would reply. she hoped he would as being in contact with someone who knew what was going on would make it easier for her. as she didn't want to tell anyone at she school who didn't have to know (like most of the professors) just yet. [/quote]

He remembered that night, though would like to denied it ever happen. Never did he ever wanted anyone to feel what he was going through, no matter how much of a prick he could be, being a werewolf was no freaking picnic. After the encounter, he rack up on wolfbane and swear to himself he'll never go without the potion again. That did not keep away the silly girl from contacting him, early one morning an owl was waiting right outside his boat deck and in it's beak he saw a letter addressed to him. Fawk, who could be writing besides mom? He took the letter, tore it open and read it slowly. It was never a good day to be Dederick Cullen.

A letter said:
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry for getting you sick. Really if it had been up to me I would have never stayed over your place. But now you understand why I'm bitter and a prick, you don't blame me is just sad as me being it. There's no amount of an apology I could say to take back what I did to you. No amount of an apology, I'm really sorry Briar. Maybe next time you should stay somewhere a little close in, maybe it's time you actually start living normally. As for me don't worry about my behind, I have a one way ticket to hell, I'm just waiting for a ride.
Dederick-

He sent the letter off, breakfast was a big bottle of watermelon Bacardi. Breakfast in just the way he loved it.

Briar had received a letter from Dederick during breakfast on the morning of a full moon, she read it over her breakfast of sausage and beans, laughing at the last line. she then quickly put it into her bag as although it didn't say exactly what was going on she didn't want anyone to read it and work it out. she had tried to write to him during the day but she had felt so listless that she couldn't. the next day she was too tired, after a night of no sleep all she wanted to do was get what was necessary out of the way and sleep. however on the third day she found time to write a reply.
briars Letter said:
there is no need to be too sorry,it was an accident and could have happened to anyone, right. I have been pretty crook the last few days, tired, headachy stiff and sore, is that normal? I don't know and cant think of anyone else to ask. I had a flare up the night before last and had to spend the night in isolation so as not to infect anyone else. it was pretty insane but at least the potion i had stopped me from going delirious.
to be honest i find normal boring so there is no chance of that happening. i now understand why you are who you are and why you do what you do.
sorry if i am annoying you but i don't know who else to talk to about this, the staff at school know of corse but they don't have first hand experience, and the books only say so much.

Briar

she rolled up the parchment and headed to the owlery he felt a lot better today than she had. she was still a little tired but only the lack of sleep tired not the total loss of energy tired that she had been before. maybe it was because the previous night had gone smoothly and she wasn't so scared of trying to pull things off as before, or maybe it because that was how it normally happened. either way she was feeling like herself again. she had even gone for a short run during lunch.
she reached the bird room and gave a couple of nuts to one of the school birds before tying the letter to his leg and watching it fly away.

He believed after the first letter she would stop bugging him. He guess wrong, a few days letter a parcel was found right out his door, perched on the railing of his boat was another owl. He picked up the damn thing and tore it open. He read everything twice including the line when she apologize for bugging him. He felt bad really bad, how can she withstand all that? This girl had some serious issue if she was taking her condition lightly. Oh the urges to not respond came over him, but he did.

Are you kidding me? said:
Briar,
Damn you girl, I wish I could tell you to stop writing but I guess I owe you this much and more. I'm surprised you haven't reported me yet, really surprised. Anyways, yeah everything your going through is normal. It's like having the dragon pox, except it never goes away. Please be careful, I don't want anyone else to be burden like us. When it's nearer that time of the cycle, stay away from everyone. You really don't want to give them the virus, being like me sucks badly. And I hope you understand that and more. Take care yourself, will be on the look out for more of your 'annoying letters', but if you don't hear from me for a while the Ministry have reposed my arse and my boat.
Cheers, Dederick

Briar reveved her next letter that evening just before dinner. she took it down to the great hall where she ate it over a meal of chicken casserole. she spent the meal time thinking on what to put in the reply. once she had finished eating she headed up to the north tower where she wrote her reply.

glad you don't mind the letters too much, as even if i don't get a reply i will probably still write, its not that i enjoy writing, quite the opposite really, its more that there is stuff i need to say that i cant tell anyone. at least not yet. maybe thats why i haven't reported you. if i had then you would probably be stick in some ministry prison or something and unable to send and receive letters. but its also because i don't think you meant to do it.
I have never had dragon pocks but i know what you mean. I am being careful. the staff make me go into a small hidden room in the grounds whenever they think i will be particularly contagious. its small, dark, cramped and confining but i am glad its there. you're not the only one stuck with the virus. maybe their with it are all thinking the same thing. its good to have someone who knows whats going on.
Briar
she realised that this letter was a little more personal than the others but she decided to send it anyway. she stood up and headed through a door to the owlery. she found a nice barn owl and attached the letter to its leg. "I hope you know where to take this, its for dederick" she said it seemed to understand her as it then took off and flew out of the window.

The past few days, he was actually looking forward to her letter. He kept more indoors when night hits, yet he was up by dawn going out for a fresh catch. Thanks to the muggel community not so faraway from the village, he sold his catch to the Market. He'd come home on a good day with funds to last the entire month, other times he wouldn't make very much for what he caught. Spring was here, so he had no worries about making the money and ends meet now. If he'd been lucky before, Briar would not be in the situation she is now. that morning he woke up to another one of her letter waiting outside the boat. He grip the letter and read it over a fresh cup of coffee.

Fine said:

Briar,
Again I appreciate you haven't told them it was me. My mum been going through a lot lately, the last thing I want her to know is that I gave someone else my burden. Things haven't been the same ever since this happen to me, I've been like this for a couple years and you can tell I'm not over it at all. It sounds degrading, the way you describe the cramp dark room. I guess it's okay if your fine with it? I would never have lived in those conditions, that's why the potion helps a lot and because I was allowed in the woods on the night it happens, I got my freedom back in Drumstrang. Hate that school by the way. The only advice I could say just keep acting normal. Don't let anyone else find out about your sickness, if it helps be mean. Be aggressive, do anything to keep them away.

Oh and if you ever need a place to crash there's always my boat, see you whenever.
- Dederick
Sounded all funny and fanny to him when he reread the letter. He's least to act like this to anyone else besides Eli and his mum. She was lucky to get the best of him, plus this guilt felt like poop. She deserve all of his good sides, dammit. He sent the letter off after giving the owl a fresh little fish for it to feast on.

briars next letter arrived with the post the next morning. she was surprised and happy with the quick return. she read the reply trying to keep the letters covered from her friend who was sitting a few seats down. she had told her friends that the reason she was acting differently and having nightmares was because she was finding it hard to get over Jacksons death the previous year. it was true of sorts. once the bell rang she stayed in the hall and watched all of the other students rush off to class. she was thankful that she was a sixth year and got several free periods. once she was alone she wrote the reply.
the next letter said:
Dederick
I hope that your mums okay.
nah, the room is okay, its my own place and seeing as i am the only one of us in the school i can have my own space. plus its only only once a moth or theres abouts i have to use it. is not actually that small (I went down to it yesterday to see how much damage i did, and surprisingly it was all fixed) but when you want to run it feels small. they let you into the woods, as in wild? I hope none of the other students went for a night time stroll. i will keep in mind what you said about dermstrang, but i don't think i would have planned on going there anyway. thanks for the advice, I will see if i need it or if i can keep this secret as secret as my others.
thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it over the holidays, it depends on where i am
se you whenever
Briar
she quickly tired the letter to the owls leg giving it some of her sausage. she then headed towards the charms classroom hoping to get some practice in before class.

Hadn't much to say and no letter to send back, Dederick took a whole week till he finally replied back to her letter. It wasn't much, he wish not to send it. Yet if he delayed any longer she'll start sending more letters to him, that would annoyed him. He sighed, using the local post office he sent out the letter with the use of their owl. He paid with two galleons and signed his name on the 'letter'.

OOCOut of Character:
I have been counting the days and I think we should fudge the time and not pay attention to days otherwise only a couple of weeks has gone since the last full moon. including his week break.

Briar hadn't heard form Dederick for about a week. however she hadn't had time to writ again, due to work and quidditch training. plus she promised herself that she wouldn't send him another letter until after the next moon unless she get a reply. however when an owl she didn't recognise landed in front of her she was glad of a reply even if it was only short, at least he hadn't been caught. she gave the owl a bit of bacon rind and let if fly off. she knew that it was one of the pay per delivery owls and she guessed that Dederick didn't have much money, and she hadn't either. luckily the school owls were free, or maybe if she was sending a lot of letters she should invest in her own owl.
she had to run off to class and that evening she had a quidditch training and an assignment to do. the next morning she waited until after breakfast the next morning to write and send a reply.
her note said:
Dee?
What do you do for work?
hope you feel better soon. I actually feel okay at the moment, but i think that i will start feeling ill in a couple of days too.
Briar
she then went up to the owlery and tied her letter to the leg of a school tawny owls and watched it fly away before deciding to go for a fly herself.

She wasted no time to reply to his owls. Unfortunately he was no where near New Zealand now. He took his boat and was going on a little vacation to south Africa. When her letter got to him a week has passed and the owl reached him on an island he was staying for a couple days. He's heard it was crab season over here, or whatever they like to call it. He was aiming for a big batch of those to return to the local near the South border, he would sell them there. If he made enough he'll be sending his mom some funds, she was running low back home.

Yes, Dee is kinda short for Dederick, My close friends call me that so your rather lucky to know it. I work fishing, it's why I own a boat so I use it to work around New Zealand or sometimes other places like South Africa. I'm there right now fetching some crab meat. I love it cause it's only me out here, no one else to bother me. My own little world. Anyroad, feel better. I advice you to get use to the pain overtime you become numb to the change.

It was a couple of weeks before the Briar received another letter. thankfully it was a little longer than the last one. she was sitting in the common room contemplating going to bed early after dragging herself through the days classes. the only thing she was thankful for was that she was able to have next day totally off, as the next night was the full moon. she read the letter and deciding that it would take a while to reach him anyway she sent to bed early as planned. the next morning she was feeling even worse and, unusually for her, stayed in bed until about nine and dragged herself to the kitchen for breakfast for a late breakfast. then finding an empty classroom wrote her letter.

well i feel privileged for knowing that. and being allowed to call you by your nickname. fishing sounds like a good job, but what happens on certain nights when you are in the midd;e of the sea, do you ever want to jump overboard? when i was younger i was taught to hunt, It was how our family managed to get food. Your in South africa, that a long way to go, the crab had better be good.
anyway today is one of those days when i don't feel like doing anything. so i will send this and then grab some lunch and go somewhere for a while i think.
Briar
she then headed to the owlery and found one of the long range school owls (they had just bout murdered the short range one, it would need a while to recover a trip to south africa) she tied the letter to its leg and gave it some nuts from her bag. "have a good trip" she said as it flew out of the window. she then headed up the gryffindor house and took a bag of things she would be needing for the afternoon, she was hopping to finish her Halloween costume before her transformation.

Briar
Yeah sort of, like I do jump out and then I end up somewhere in the Island but I rarely go out when it's near the time of month. I think ahead, it's what you do after years of changing. You have to think smart, sadly I wasn't smart enough when I saw you that evening. It sucks cause I've been in my own little world for to long and didn't realize I would mess up. And when I mean own little world, I been trap in this world where I just hate about everyone. It's just a way so you wouldn't get near. You should see how I was in school, how I hated towards people. Everyone hated me, I would get into the fights and do stuff to keep them away.

Ugh, bad memories be gone. Anyways the fishnet went well. Caught a lot today, enough to sell to the locals over. I'm glad I live off a bit like the muggels, cause according to my boat you need muggel's fuel for it to go and eat anything basically out of a can. Your cooking was nice by the way, reminded me when mum roast a pig on the Holidays. How's school going for you? Anything fun going on? Do you have a lot of friends? Tell me about something new, the sickness in the letter getting pretty dull since I know already what your going through. Course always mention any concern you have, I'm here for you.

I'm back in New Zealand, maybe we could meet up soon? Take care.
Sincerely,
- Dee with a D

the next letter came a lot quicker than the previous. she read it quickly she was however on the way to quidditch training so she put it in her bag. it was on her mind during the practice and she made some simple mistakes fumbling with the ball when usually she would have a firm grip. once training was over she headed back to the common room and wrote a reply, leaving her homework until later.

Glad to hear that you are back in New Zealand. Next weekend is a Brightstone weekend. if you want we can meet up then in the three broomsticks or something.
like I said before don't worry about slipping up, its nothing i cant learn to get used to, I have had to make some pretty major adjustments in my life before and compared to that this is easy. I would tell you but it may be better face to face. its not something i can easily put in a letter. I'm glad that you liked the stew. I caught the rabbit that morning so it was pretty fresh.
school is going okay for me. I am trying to get my grades up, as i know that i have to do well next year to do what i want to do, i recently decided that i want to work in the ministry. I also want to play quidditch professionally, I managed to get onto the house team again which is good. I play chaser, maybe next year i will be team captain too.
Friends wise i have a few, Sid, she is pretty awesome, always full of energy and crazy ideas. Madlyn, who was my half sister, but we have only talked once since the summer well it was more of an argument. she hasn't spoken to me since, that is probably the way it will be best, she has gone through more than enough this year I don't want to add to it. there also Minoas, he is a second year and like a little brother, but he is fun to be around. her the first time i met him we ended up fighting acromantular in the forbidden forest. not a normal way to start a friendship but certainly one to remember.
Is that a good change of topic for you? how about you, are you up to much besides fishing? and do you have any friends?
Briar
once she was done she headed down to the owlery and sent it off. before slowly heading back to the common room to do a charms essay.

It had been a while since Briar had last send a letter to Dederick. a lot had changed between them over the holiday, and she was incredibly thankful about it. however that day her school had turned upside down, someone had started a pile of rumours that se was a wolf and skank. she decided to send a quick letter of to him, to make sure that he had nothing to do wit them.
note said:
Hey Dee
I just want to say thank you very much for inviting me to stay on your boat over the summer. I had an absolutely awesome time. it will certainly be a holiday to be remembered.
however that is not the reason i am writing to you (well maybe it is, I miss you) but today a pile of posters sprung up across the school, i will attach one. you can probably see why it as hurt. I just wanted to check that you didn't tell anyone about me? anyone at all.
other than that I hope that you have been well
Briar
she then tied this to an owls leg along with a poster she had managed to got off the wall (thanks t a spell a professor had taught her earlier. she let the owl go before heading back to the common room to face the music for a little bit before heading to bed early like she did every full moon eve, the difference was that tonight people would think she as hiding, not that she was mealy tired. I'm so sorry for what Jaden has done to you! I told her to leave you alone, she shouldn't have done that to you. This is not fair, in no way or possible am I going to forgive her for this. I didn't tell her anything. I guess she assume or something? Or she maybe bluffing, I seriously don't have the slightest idea what's going on in her head. When we vanish I took her to her old home, we talk well argue for a while and then she left back to New Zealand without me. This is very low of her, she knows how bad it was for me to be a werewolf and then she does this to you. I am utterly sorry.

I hope things get better for you. I really do miss you! Please let me know how things work out and if I ever run into her again I swear I think I might lose it too.

same conclusion then said:

I am glad we both got the same conclusion about it being Jaden who started it. Its not your fault if you didn't say anything then she should be to blame. I don't know how she knows, guess, or maybe she just made up something random that was true. I am sorry for causing you to fall out with an old friend.
Anyway things are actually going on okay here all things considering. the best news is that i have made up with my sister. and she and my brother are helping me through. actually a lot of the students are being supportive. especially the ones from my house. the slytherins aren't, but what else can be expected from them.
I actually haven't lost my temper yet. I may have been close a couple of times but the whole I think I have been pretty good. actually i am surprising myself how calm i have been. maybe i have changed more than I thought this year.

Well it seems like everything has back fired on Jaden? That's good that you have the support, it's all that anyone like us really want when this happen. I can't really say how you can handle, because quite honesty not many know about me. As I've told you before my anger keeps them away, unlike you who seems to be embracing it well, I still have not. I fish at sea to keep me away from everyone. When the times come I go to a far out Island to let the moon phase pass in a way that I don't hurt anyone.

Anyways, I hope all is well. I haven't been feeling that great with these letters, again if you don't hear from me for a while it's just me keeping myself busy. It's not you at all. Take care.

That was what i was planning on. I didn't tell you but the divination professor warned me at the yule ball that something like this will happen, that it would get out. so i had a little time to prepare which helped, though it was still a bit of a shock when it did occur as i hadn't expected anything so big. though i must say it seems like if you act like you are confident and nothing can hurt you nothing seems to be able to.
Everyone reacts differently to different things. I guess my past helped me get adjust to being a werewolf, as looking back I don't think i have ever seen myself as fully human. so i guess it just proved what i have felt for a while.
If you are not into the letters then it doesn't bother me. like i said before i am not into writing much myself, in fact i think i have written more letters this year than in my previous five years here. but that may also have had something to do with the fact that i had no one to write to before this year.

Dear Briar,
I apologize for my last letter. These damn moods swings get to me, I don’t realize till a few days later that I’ve been acting like a complete c*unt. It’s not in my intention to behave that way with you, but it comes out naturally. It happens again I’m sorry. I know that you understand what I’m coming from, since you’ve already know the type of person that I am. Enough about that, I’ll just try not to seem like an arse.

You seem to be doing well, that’s good. Have you heard anything new about Jaden? I tried writing to her to see what the hell wrong with her, the letter was sent back unopened. I guess that’s the last of it, between me and her. Don’t worry about it, it was bound to happen. She just a hateful person, she’s always been that way, maybe a little quiet growing up but I guess she had enough of that and just exploded. This would explain a lot of things, anyways forget her. If anything more happen let me know.

How’s Qudditch coming along? I bet your good at it, I’m not that good at flying but I bet you’re great?! Flying is hard to do, flying and playing a sport is even worst. It think that’s why I never went for the teams in Drumstrang, that and I might just cut someone ear off in mid-air. Flying is one of many thing was never intended for me, Oh well.

I wish for you to have a good rest of the week, take a break from all the nonsense that’s happen and relax for me? I don’t want to hear that you’re fighting someone or something bad happen. It’s hard for me to resist not breaking into that school and taking you away from there! We could have another mini vacation, I bet you like that? (Hee)

Talk to you soon,
-Dee

Briar receved the next letter from Dederick on the saturday morning. she read through it a couple of times her smile growing. she did miss him. and this letter was much better than the last, she hadn't realised herself how grumpy the last one had been until she had read this one. she didn't reply to it straight away as she anted to go for a jog before her apparating lesson. and she had quidditch training that afternoon so she didn't have time. she didn't write the reply until early sunday afternoon felling a little bad for it taking so long she mede sure it was a decent letter.
Hey Dee
Isnt it meant to be the female that has the mood swings? not that i'm complaining. I don't particularly want them. besides, you didn't seem too bad. we all have our bad days, yesterday i got a annoyed at a couple of firsties who had taken my favourite spot in the common room. actually i need to find them and apologise.
glad to hear that you are still okay and you seem in a better mood. i actually have to apologise for something myself. I sort of told my brother and sister (not blood, I sort of create my family) about you. I wouldn't not tell them as once the news came out i had to tell them the whole story, and lets just say if i took you out from it it wouldn't make much sense. however i trust them and they wont tell anyone what you are.
I havent heard anything about Jaden. Professor Kingsley, my head of house and the deputy headmistress had me in to talk the other night, but i don't know how she will take it, she seems pretty annoyed at the moment, with the professors on high alert there is a lot less rule breaking going on. that sounds like a pit of a nasty thing Jaden did, but at least she didn't send back a envelope of bubotuber pus or something.
Quidditch is coming on great, thank you for asking. there are actually going to be a couple of games in a few weeks which will be good fun. training is all good, but it is the competition of the games which make it. you seemed pretty good at flying the first time we met. I'm sure with practice your would improve if you wanted to.
I promise that i will take a break, and have some relaxing time I'm relaxing now right? maybe go for a long run or something. that always relaxes me (no i never stop, there is plenty of time to stay still when i'm dead). I promise to try and not get into a fight. and if i do i know exactly who i will be fighting, but i am trying to keep away from her.
not much else is happening around here. oh yep i forgot, I am leaning to apparate, and with my birthday being at the end of the month, or start of next month, we could travel next time I am on break, go somewhere nice, not that i didn't enjoy your boat, id then you can have a break as well. I would love another mini vacation.
How about you. Is there anything interesting going on at your end? where about are you? in new zealand, or somewhere else?
wow that was a rather long letter. I think i will go out on that run i wast thinking about. and i will send this on the way.
Bri
and with that she changed into something comfortable for a run and headed out into the grounds via the owlery

Dear Briar,

No. Don’t be sexist; a guy can be moody too. Haha bit I did find rather funny when I read that line. I’m only mad sometimes now, but other times well you get it. I don’t think I have to describe what it likes to see me set off. First years are always annoying; I know I had been one annoying kid. I take it they were okay either way with you apologizing? Most first years tend to forget things either way.

It’s okay, I don’t mind. I find it quite flattering that you mention me to your siblings. I haven’t spoken to my mum in a while; I bet she’d be happy to know I have a first serious girlfriend. She was getting the impression that I will never find anyone, watch when she finds about you. She will lose it, in a more cherry merry way. Eli will want to meet you, she’s my little sister. I miss them a lot.

Everything the same at my end, I go out to work and then come back to shore to sleep. I do it five days in a week, its good pay. Muggels pay more than wizards. I’m saving up for a flat soon. The boat is nice but I want something stable. Maybe somewhere up north, I haven’t made up my mind yet. I miss it up there, New Zealand is great but up North is where I belong. Near my mum and my little sister. I have an older brother but he’s in a peace corp. He loves all that muggel living, yet he helps a lot of those who are in need. Something I know I can never do.

That’s great with apparition classes, do well and we can bounce all over the world. Kidding, up north definitely but not all over the globe. See you soon!

Cheers,
-Dederick

Briar read Dedericks letter when it came at breakfast one morning. she was a little surprised at its contents, there was some things in there that she hadn't expected, for starters she hadn't known that he had any siblings, so when he mentioned his little sister she was a little surprised, as to hear that she was his first serious girlfriend, she wasn't sure why but she had thought that he had had a few girlfriends in the past, she wasn't sure why, he just seemed confident, though he was always saying that he avoided people and that he had anger issues and the sort, but she didn't know why he just seemed like the sort of boy who had had girlfriends before. though she did like the insight of his family and future plans. she wrote her reply during the morning break finishing it at lunch before sending it

I did apologise to the first years, I had to give them their cards back which i had confiscated, though they were building houses with exploding snap card next to a sixth year who had been lacking sleep, it was sort of asking for it. but they were fine with me apologising. even invited me to play with them, I had one game (and lost miserably) but then had to go and do other things.
you never said that you have a little sister. How old is she? what is she like? and you have an older brother too? I didn't know. I would think that your mother would be happy for you regardless, so long as you are happy. though if you think that it will be good to watch her reaction either film it or wait till i'm there. okay you don't have to i hope it is the good reaction that you want. though it is probably not a good plan to tell her that you bit me, at least not straight away.
a flat is a good plan, i cant imagine the sea being particularly kind in winter and by then it will be summer up north. come t think of it why are you in new Zealand anyway? your family is north, and you don't seem to have any strong ties here?
I am planning on doing well in aparation, as i will kind of need it, i plan on working two jobs in two countries, one for the new Zealand ministry, and one as a quidditch player, i am hoping to get drafted for my favourite team the thunderers, in Australia, if not then whatever team will take me. Traveling a little sound good, I think north would be my first stop, maybe a visit to my home lands, though i will have to be sure no-one is around, I know that i am not welcome there any more, but i want to see it again.

Dederick had a week off from catching any fish. He was getting rather tired honestly with doing it every day, surly there was something else better for him out there. In the week off from work, Dederick spent his time looking for a flat, since he had saved as lot from fishing; he was able to afford quality in his flats selection. Anything big and roomy he told the witch retailor, she found him a broken down loft, where the inside look like crud, yet the rooms where the type he wanted. He took it; the loft will be his next fixer up. He would spend every day working on it, work on it enough that it felt like home.

In the middle of the day of his project, Dederick received a letter from Briar. He lost track of time that her letter brought him back to reality. He took his lunch break as he was reading her letter. When he finished eating some smoked fish and chips, he wrote back in reply. She’d be surprise to know he wasn’t nearby anymore, or rather up north.

Dear Briar,

My sister she’s young, she’s about ten I think or somewhere around there. I know that she was going to Scotland Hogwarts soon. She’s really nice, she loves whenever I visit and worries so much like my mum about me. I feel bad, because I haven’t seen her in a while, so I wouldn’t be able to describe her very much. My brother is older and he hasn’t been home in ages too. He dedicates his life helping others, really ironic knowing that I’m related to either of them. You would think I was adopted. (Actually his mom had him with another man but he doesn’t know) anyways, maybe you’ll see them one day? Only time can tell.

I have strong ties now, with you. Though I did just buy a loft, its trash right now but I took a week off from work to fix it. It will be comfortable to stay at when you come to visit, I live up north though, so I hope you don’t mind apparting to come see me? It’s easier once you pass your test! You won’t have to feel obligated to stay in New Zealand. Go out and see some new places? Maybe go touring, whatever you like I don’t mind it. Good luck on your future goals, you have guts to persuade them. I don’t think I had enough to be as good as you.

Cheers,
Dederick

It was a few days before Briars letter got a reply, it arrived in the morning post with all of the other owls. Briar hadn’t been worried, she knew he would just be fishing in some distant destination, like last semester when she had spent a while in South Africa. However when his letter did arrive she couldn't help but smile. he sounded like he had been busy, and she had been slightly wrong when she had though he was fishing somewhere far off, no he was on his next project. The owl had also been busy; she gave it some food (bacon rinds, and toast crust) from her plate and let it go up to the owlery. She would use a fresh one for her reply, one more suited to long distances than the barn owl she had used before.

Its great to hear from you. You seem like you have had a busy time. a loft, that sounds like a project and a half. Though i bet you will do a good job on it, you seem like you would be good things like that. When you say up north I am guessing you mean Norway, right? You say when I come to visit like its certain. I like that plan. very much. I haven’t actually apparated yet, we are still learning the theory but hopefully soon we actually get to try it, who's up for a few shots at splinching, okay maybe not. But that does give me motivation to get it right.
Yeah 10 or 11 would probably be her age if she was to go to Hogwarts next year, and if they have the same schooling system as here. She sounds sweet, worrying about her brother but then I would worry about my brother if he had run off to some distant part of the globe, though my brother is younger which makes a difference, and isn’t actually related to me at all. Your brother also sounds nice, though you don’t sound as keen on him as your sister. But that may just be my impression.
Anyway I have followed you advice and took an evening off. It was a good time I hade a bonfire and a group of us celebrated my birthday, we had a bonfire. It was pretty fun. Anyway I have to go it’s the quidditch game in a few days and every free moment I am spending on the pitch either on my own or with the team. T is getting intense but I am pretty sure we could win.
Briar
When she had finished Briar raced down for quidditch training, today they were practicing with the hufflepuffs, which was going to be good. Once the training ended she went up to the owlery and attached her letter to an eagle owls let and watched him go and send the letter to Dee
