Letter Writing

Kiera took the long winding stairs up to the Owlery. She had a letter she wanted to send to Link. There were so many questions she wanted to ask him. First though she just wanted to make sure he was okay. Kiera missed him as well.

Kiera spotted her barn owl, Pharaoh on the window sill. "Hey Pharaoh." she murmured. The bird flew to her and landed on her shoulder. She stroked his head. "Take this to Link please." she asked. Pharaoh flew out the window. She watched her short letter go towards her friend.

Dear Link,

I have been worried about you ever since you left. I hope you made it to wherever you were going safely. Where are you? Are you okay? I hope so. I can't wait to see you this summer. Miss you.

[Link Black]

Link had been unpacking where he was staying at. It wasn't his choice to be here, but he had no choice. He looked up from were he was sorting his belongings when he saw in owl swoop in the open window. The owl had drop a letter, what is this. He looked at the seal enveloped address to his name, must be from Kiera. He open the letter reading it briefly . Than took out a quill and parchment responding back.

Kiera,

I am fine, don't worry about me. I am staying at a foster home, more likely my permanent guardian. I don't have much to say, but  I miss you as well.

Kiera was sitting in the common room when a letter suddenly dropped in her lap. She knew it was a response from Link. He was the only one she had written to recently. Kiera was relieved to get his letter. She quickly opened it and read it. He seemed to be doing okay. She wrote him back and sent Pharaoh off with the letter.

Are you sure you are okay? I mean are you happy? I will mastermind a rescue mission if you hate it too badly. My family still wants to have you over this summer that is if you want to come. There is not much to say about Hogwarts. Classes started this week. They are pretty interesting so far but its only the first lesson. Write soon.

Link was sitting after his lesson with Raziel. He still didn't tell him much about his parents. He didn't bother to ask, he will eventfully. The same owl had climb into his bedroom window, Kiera He open the letter read and responded.

Kiera,

I am staying in the house of the Blacks, Raziel Black. He been home schooling me, along with Sebastian Black. Its been good, I still accept your invitation to see you this summer, Raziel won't mind. I hope everything is well with you, I will write to you whenever I can.

Kiera was in the Great Hall eating breakfast when an owl swooped in and dropped a letter in her lap. Kiera read the note carefully. She was glad he included exactly where he was. She breathed a sigh of relief. He was safe. Kiera pulled out a fresh letter and wrote him a reply. She dashed up to the Owlery to give Pharaoh her latest reply.

I am glad you are safe. To be honest, I was very worried about you. I think I have heard of that Raziel. Does he work at the ministry? Is he part of your family? I think the other man used to be my charms professor.

I am glad you are still coming. I am almost positive you will love it. My father and brother will be nice. I dont think you should meet Jacqueline just yet. She can be cruel. I look forward to receiving your letters.

Link had been sleeping that night, in his room full of junk. He heard a tap on the window, and could not ignored it any loner. Pulling on his bath robe, he saw Kiera owl with a letter in its beak. He read the letter while he drop a few pebbles of food, for her oel to eat. Luckily they didn't live to far away, or the owl would be traveling all the way to London, or Spain.

Its night time now, but I'm replying so you don't worry. Yes Raziel works at the ministry, no we have no relations at all. I was said to be his foster child for now, until I have become of age. But honestly I don't know if I will staying long. It's okay if you don't want me to meet Jac, I understand. Hope you are well.

Kiera was laying in her bed. She had not been feeling so well. She thought she might be coming down with a cold. Kiera didnt get sick often so this was unusual. She had opened the window to get some fresh air earlier. Pharaoh swooped in the room with a reply from Link. Kiera took the letter and read it. She stroked Pharaoh absentmindedly as she read.

Kiera smiled as she read. Link was sweet to write her back even when he was supposed to be sleeping. She thought about the contents of the letter. She smiled to herself she pulled out a fresh letter from her trunk.

Dear Link,

You really don't have to reply to my messages if you are asleep. Pharaoh will wait untill the morning if you ask him to. I am so sorry to wake you. Raziel sounds like a nice man. I think it is good to have something close to family. Its not that I dont want you to meet Jacqueline, I just dont want her to chase you away with her meanness.

I have been feeling bad this morning. I do not get sick easily so this is a weird feeling for me. I think its just a cold but if it continues for a few days I am going down to the hospital wing. Dont worry about me though I will be okay.

Hey, I haven't wrote in a while, been thinking to much to respond. I'm sorry to hear that you were sick, but I bet when you get this letter you will be all better. Nothing much has happen, Raziel have been keeping a close watch on me, I think he knows I might try to escape. Living with him is not bad at all, but I'm no home body, so its getting hard used to this. Don't worry about me, please I can sense when your worried. So just focus on your school work, try not to drop out like I did. Okay I have to go now, another lesson to go to.

Kiera had been worrying about Link. He hadnt written back in a while. Pharaoh had yet to return. She expect that of course. She gave him orders not to leave untill Link wrote him back. She was relieved when she read his letter. She wrote him back.

I am feeling better. You are right of course. I do worry about you but I cant help it. I will try not to worry as much as I have been. Its not interfering with my school work though. I mostly worry about you at night. I am happy you seem to be getting along with Raziel. Its good for you to have a home. Dont run away please. I might go sick with worry for you.

Link was back at home, dressing to go out and meet with some stragglers, when he decided to write Kiera a letter. He took a piece of notebook paper , with a black pen and started writing the letter.

Hey I'm glad I got to see you this summer, sorry I didn't stay long.
Just been really busy with stuff going on and all.
Well hope this letter gets to you, dont have much to say.

Kiera was surprised when she got a letter from Link the day she arrived back at Hogwarts. She smiled happily and hurried to open it. She read it quickly before writing him back.

Dear Link,

Thank you so much for writting this letter to tell me your safe. You know I worry about you. It was great seeing you over the summer. I miss you! Please write whenever you have the chance!
