Perhaps Jacob Kingsley should have asked Onyx to be his date for the evening. They certainly spent enough time together these days. They were roommates and housemates and teammates and kissing mates, if that was a thing. Jacob considered it one. But he didn't realize that the yule ball was just the event to take things a step further. Or maybe he did realize it and had purposely avoiding asking Onyx for that reason. Life was confusing these days for Jacob. And so he'd gone with the simple choice, asking his cousin to the dance. There was no pressure for him in this decision and he knew he'd have a good time. It was a wonderful win-win situation for him. And he was sure Jemma could use an evening out. He was glad to see her getting more popular now that she played quidditch because everyone should know how awesome she was. Jacob adored her. She was always his favorite family member, but even more so these days. "Jemma...I have something to tell you" he stated, tapping her on the elbow. Jacob had done something that he knew was going to make his family mad at him. He only hoped she wouldn't be.
