It seemed like Karah was always running from something but she was a Gryffindor and needed to show her bravery at least once in her time at Hogwarts and it seemed like now was the moment she was going to show it. She was to meet her boyfriend, Ezra, in the courtyards where they first kissed and she had important news for him and she could only hope that he didn't run away like she had almost two years ago. This was a thought that gave the red head a lot of anxiety as she straightened the invisible creases in her sheer polka dot top. At least I'll look good if I'm rejected, she mused vainly before grabbing a purse which had a few important items in it like her wand and her keys.

The walk to the courtyard was a long one as her mind created horrible futures for herself depending on this day although she couldn't see it as that serious. Karah just knew that Ezra could take it differently than she but she moved on anyway until she reached the spot they had found each other in so long ago. She sat on the marble and crossed one leg over her other, lightly tapping her foot through the air as a nervous tick while her hands fiddled with each other anxiously. It was enough for her to wonder how she could ever be a true Gryffindor and how she'd been chosen as Prefect when, in reality, she was barely brave enough to make it as a Gryffindor and certainly not smart enough to be anything else. But she was her own worst critic so she sighed it off and looked up from her lap, hoping that her face wasn't stricken with her emotions so clearly as she waited for Ezra to show up.

Ezra Shaffer pulled on a casual t-shirt and a worn pair of blue jeans after taking a shower. He had plans to meet his lovely girlfriend up in the courtyard. Kare had said that she had something to talk to him about when she asked him to meet her during their free period. Ezra didn't want to keep Karah waiting, so he left the Slytherin common room promptly. The blonde haired sixth year walked quickly up the steps and out into the court yard. He scanned the area until he spotted those familiar fiery locks. An easy grin spread across his face as he crossed over to Kara.

Ezra pulled the Gryffindor up into his well muscled arms. Ezra had grown up and filled out in the past few years as he transitioned from childhood into adolescence. He spun his pretty little girlfriend around in a circle before placing her gently on the ground. Ezra kissed her on her delicious rose colored lips. Looking down into her bright eyes, Ezra grinned once more. "Hey Kare. Had a nice day?" Ezra asked as he sat down beside her.

Karah was positively beaming as Ezra wrapped his strong arms around her and spun her around easily. A hand slid through his blond hair and the other on his shoulder with a smile before their lips touched in greeting. She knew that they were, in all likelihood, irritating people nearby because most didn't like when people used public displays of affection but she couldn't bring herself to care as she relished in the last few seconds of their kiss. The red head nearly forgot what she had asked Ezra here for but blinked away the fog of her mind as she sat beside her boyfriend.

"Yeah, it was good. Pretty uneventful," Karah said with a small shrug before asking, "What about you?" Her hand found his and held it tightly, putting their intertwined hands on her thigh naturally as she looked into her boyfriend's eyes waiting him to answer because she did want to know about his day. It was one of the things that made her want to do this. When she was younger and still lied with her father, she always liked to see when they both were home and asked about each other's day because it seemed to her that they loved one another to listen to something as 'pointless' as traffic or what their colleagues said to them. Karah just hoped that, even if things with Ezra didn't work out in the end, she had someone who loved her like that but in a stronger way so the core problem between her dad and her step-mom weren't there. Despite the twang Karah felt from the fear of rejection she really did think that it could be very good for them. It would give them a chance to be closer to one another and to learn about each other in a way that nothing else allowed them to at Hogwarts.
