Only god would know why Chloe was out this late, let alone in a park by herself. It was an old habit of hers just to leave the house without a single word. She'd bring her phone with her of course, not to mention a flashlight and her wand just in case. It was chilly out, though not enough to bother anyone. The swing next to her own was moving back and forth in the wind (much to her fright.) At the same time the French girl didn't want to leave. Something in her bones told her that something was going to happen that night. She didn't know what exactly, but something would happen.

Not thinking, she began to hum to herself softly. It calmed her nerves slightly and made it seem like she wasn't alone. At the same time, Chloe's fingers tried to remember the places to put her fingers on a guitar. They were failing for the most part, but practice made perfect. Lost in her current activities, her bare hand scratched against a rough link of the swing and she winced. "Ow.." She frowned, turning to examine the damage done. Why had she even come here? Well, now she couldn't leave. Her gut wouldn't let her.

Jack was walking around a park, wondering what to say to his cousin when he met up with her in the next week. They had so much to catch up on, and he was starting to worry. For a tall, handsome guy like himself to be worrying over his cousin, it seemed stupid. But, she was like a younger sister to him and he cared about her more than himself. He didn't know if anyone was out with him in the park, but he didn't care. Since the previous year when he had become of age, he hadn't worried about travelling on his own at night, because he felt safe with his wand and his expanded knowledge of magic. He froze however, when he heard a voice. It sounded like a girl, but it still made him freeze. He hadn't used verbal spells for ages now, so when he lit the end of his wand, it was done in silence. He noticed a girl sitting on a swing holding her hand, with her back to him. Walking slowly up to her, he leaned against the bar, his wand illuminating his good looks helped by being a half-veela. He raised his eyebrows at her and wondered what she was doing. "Its a little dangerous really, to be in a park by yourself late at night. Especially someone so pretty as you." He said, his charm coming back into his voice. He smiled now, not wanting her to get the wrong impression from his words. "Don't worry though, i won't hurt you." He said, with a cheeky tone falling back in now, noting that he was about her age and therefore could probably do magic well. A strange feeling touched him, one of wanting to protect this girl from any dangers of later at night, even though he was the only danger around in her eyes. He was a ladies man at his school, but just wanted to chat to someone. He sat down on the swing next to her and turned to face her. "Im Jack, Jack Evans." He said, playing the perfect gentleman and holding out his hand in the familiar greeting.

(OOC: Sorry if he seems a little spooky, he will change. It just in a park in the dark, he isn't really sure what she is like.)

"I didn't really expect you to hurt me." Chloe gave a small, nearly forced laugh and rolled her eyes. Though she was a bit distracted by the man's looks. Then again she couldn't just throw herself at him like an idiot. "I'm Chloe LeBlanc." As she introduced herself the girl's French accent flared up. In truth she hated it, but most liked it. After all most of her friends shared the accent as well. Her blue eyes looked to him in a small bit of disbelief. Half of her didn't trust him, but the more dominant half wanted to get to know him. "It's nice to meet you, Jack." She shook his hand with her unharmed one. Her wand lit as well and she placed it down, just so it would make it easier to see around them. All the while though, her hand was throbbing. Chloe sighed and looked at the wound, cursing that she forgot the spell to heal it. "I'm an idiot..." That was only half true however. She was smart, well, book smart. As for in life, Chloe was very smart about some things and very naive about others. For this reason she honestly didn't trust easily. This was shown by her somewhat tense nature around the person she had just met. "So... Why exactly are you here? If you don't mind my rudeness." Her foot dug into the mulch with hesitance. Inside her head, she wished she had worn something a bit nicer. Now she was only in her jacket and a pair of pajama pants. They were nice pajamas that could pass for sweatpants, but that was besides the point. Why did she even care in the first place?

(OOC : It's fine. He didn't seem creepy. :) )

(OOC: Good :D By the way, i wasn't sure what was wrong with the hand, so i assumed that it was just hurt. If it was broken, Jack is just old enough to do the spell of episkey, so it should all be ok.
Sorry to be vague about it though :p )

Jack smiled at her. She seemed care free to him and this concerned him slightly. Were all girls like this? If so, he had better warn his cousin. Sighing inwardly at the annoying part of him that always thought about Amelia, he smiled again and shook her hand. "Here let me." He said, guessing that her hand was hurting her for it looked a bit bad. Holding his wand over it, he muttered the incantation to heal it and stepped back again. "Is that better?" He asked, his eyes worried for her. "Why are you an idiot?" Jack asked, annoyed that someone so pretty as her was calling herself an idiot. She didn't look the type to be stupid or dumb or even convinced easily, and so far, he could see no fault in her. Except perhaps her confidence in staying in a park so late into the night on her own. "No, i don't mind. Im here because i am supposed to be meeting up with my cousin in a week, so i decided to come early." He said, explaining briefly why he was in this part of town and not on his was back to school. "I go to Durmstrang." He added, wondering where she went. He hoped it wasn't HNZ, for he hadn't warmed to most of the students yet. He glanced down and noticed what she was wearing. In the dim light, he thought the trousers looked like pajamas, but they could have been sweatpants. Still, he thought that this was slightly eccentric for a pretty girl on her own in a dark park. Smiling at her, he wondered what she was doing here.

(OOC: What was the plan for them again?? )

( OOC: It's fine! :p And we were planning to make these two a couple. )

"I'm an idiot because I'm in a park, by myself, late at night, and I just hurt myself." Chloe snickered softly, "But thank you for taking care of my hand... Really." She was taken back by his caring nature, not quite used to it in complete honesty. After all they had just met, and most men didn't really even take notice of something wrong. Though something about Jack seemed different. She listened to him and nodded every so often, a bit taken back when he said he went to Durmstrang. "I go to Beauxbatons! My mother took me out of school for a bit of 'mother-daughter bonding.'" She used air quotes for this, really it was just her and her mother yelling at each other all day long. No, she didn't have a poor relationship with her, but Chloe and her mother just never seemed to see eye to eye on anything. The girl was always closer to her father. "Though I may just graduate early if I can... School is just too boring for me." But then the girl felt bad. She was always told never to complain to anyone that she wasn't close to, and even then it was a touchy subject. At the same time she didn't want to seem like she only talked about herself. "What about you? What do you think of school?" Even then she couldn't help but be taken even more in by his looks. It was a tad intimidating, and even more Chloe wasn't good with boys from the start. She was more of a girl to be friends with a boy, not try to flirt with one.
(OOC: Oh yeah. Sorry for the late reply too. I've been sick. :x )

(OOC: Ok, then :D sorry for the strange post again, it is just how i imagine it would happen. In my mind, but i can change anything.... :p )

Jack smiled. "No, don't call yourself an idiot." He said, gently taking her hand and rubbing her knuckles with his thumb. "My cousin goes to Beauxbatons. She is in her 6th year." He said, smiling now that he had an excuse to let his thoughts wander to her safety. He wondered what she was doing so late at night. We would like to imagine that she was sitting in her hotel room, on her own, with the tv on and just relaxing. But he knew that this wasn't true and she would probably be out and about flirting shamelessly with different boys and going to a pub with one of her friends. Sighing at how hard it was to keep tabs on her, he panicked for the day when she would become of age and be able to apparate around, her life in her own hands. He didn't view her as old enough to do this yet and sighed again inwardly, the prospect of letting the baby bird out into the wild, an easy prey for eagles and predators with sharp wits. Bringing his attention back to the girl that he was with, he smiled again, trying to catch up with the conversation that had just passed. "Me? School is fine. Boring because i am in my final year and know everything, i am just waiting for it all to finish. But still, i will miss it because it holds good memories for me." He said, smiling at random images that popped in his head of his school. Ones where his professor had been driven mad and left the building in a strop, ones where him and his friends learnt to dodge the common duels in the corridors between lessons. Realising that his thoughts wouldn't concentrate any longer, he tried his best to keep tabs on what was going on. Hearing a crack of a twig snapping, he pulled Chloe closer protectively, thinking with instinct rather than a proper thought. He smiled at her distractedly, trying to keep her calm but also find out what was going on. Hearing another twig break, a few metres away, he tugged her hand. "Come on. Lets get out of here. Its not safe and i don't fancy letting my temper get the better of me tonight." He said, admitting his greatest fault willingly, knowing that it would be best for her to be warned and not to see it for herself unwarned.

(OOC: I hope you are better now :D )

( OOC: I like your posts :D And I'm much better now. :) )

Chloe blinked at him, a little more surprised by the sudden contact. Though soon she smiled, for it was actually comforting. "Oh? What's her name? Maybe I know her." Well that was a lie. Usually at school Chloe would keep to herself. It wasn't because she was stuck up or that she didn't like the people at school, but she never really had the time to hang out with people. If she did, she would usually say something that upset them without even meaning to. Most of her friends were out of school. France was never quite her scene anyway. The states were just a lot more relaxing and even a bit more fun. The clubs there were amazing and loud, and then there were the nice parks and museums to go to as well. She noticed his inward thought and blinked many times, a little concerned. "Is something wrong? You seem kind of lost in thought." It always worried her when people were like that. A thinker herself, she hated that other people could be just as worried. "Missing school?" She giggled softly and stuck out her tongue, "I don't really think that would be possible for me. I want to get out of France and get out of Europe as soon as I possibly can!" Chloe was always a free spirit, so maybe moving from place to place would be an interesting thing for her to do. She could always imagine herself jet-setting across the world and maybe even getting into the Hollywood scene, actually doing something with her singing career. Though if her parents had any say in that, it wouldn't happen. She was broken out of her thoughts when the branch snapped, and her eyes widened ever so slightly. Even so the girl held herself closer to Jack, not even minding it anymore. All she wanted to do was get out of there. "Right... Oui, anywhere but here please." She muttered and squeezed his hand once, not hurting him but saying that she didn't want to let go just yet. Chloe couldn't imagine Jack having a temper though, but decided not to test the chance that he did.

Jack smiled as she squeezed his hand. He didn't want to freak her out, but the only place that wasn't a pub that he would feel safe taking her was his hotel. He would happily check out another room for her, remembering his huge stacks of gold last time he had visited his bank. "She's called Amelia. Amelia Johnson but you might know her as Amy." He said, remembering that all her friends called her Amy for Amelia seemed a mouthful sometimes. He decided not to answer her question, partly because it seemed caught up in the moment with the noises, and also because he wasn't sure that a girl would like to hear that he was worrying about another girl when he was with Chloe. "No, i cant wait to get out of school either." He agreed, hoping that this would satisfy for a good enough answer for her. "Do you mind back to my hotel?" He asked, his previous worries springing up again. He wouldn't harm her, just in that moment was more concerned about the safety of this girl rather than anything else.

(OOC: Thanks. Sorry they won't all be this long, i have loads others to catch up on and won't be able to write this much if my muse is low :jesse: :p But i am glad that you are better :D )

(OOC: It's fine! :D I understand completely.)

"Amy... I don't think I know her, but I'll keep an ear out for when I'm back at school." Chloe gave a nervous smile, still shaken by that noise. After all that now wasn't the most important thing on her mind at the moment. She just wanted to get somewhere safe. Though his answer was satisfying, she could tell that he was just not telling her the complete story of something. But hey, she wasn't going to complain or force anything out of him. She hated when people did that to her, and she did her best not to be a hypocrite. Of course not being a hypocrite was impossible for any human being, but she could try her best not to be one, right? By this point her hands were slightly trembling from the nervousness in her system. So, she wasn't really in the right place to over-analyze things. "Sure, that sounds nice." After all a hotel was nice, it had food and things to do. There was only so much you could do outside. "Let's just get there as soon as we can, right?"

Jack smiled at her response, knowing that some people knew his cousin, but a lot of people didn't. She was quite popular according to what he heard from other students, but he couldn't take their word for it unless he knew better himself. He took her through the park and towards his hotel, dodging the traffic as he did so. It was a posh hotel, one that he could only just afford, but it was in a nice location and Jack had just needed somewhere for a few nights. He opened the door for her and let her go through first, scanning his eyes around for anyone that was following them. Feeling satisfied with what he saw and heard, he followed her in and paused at the stairs. "Do you have somewhere to stay for the night? Because if you don't, then you can stay here. I can book a new room if you want, or there is a camp bed in my room." He said, running his hand through his hair as he quickly did the calculations in his head for the cost. It wouldn't be too bad, but if it was necessary, then he would pay it. He knew the manager and was sure that he could wangle something if he wanted, but he would leave it open to her choice. He meant her no harm, was just trying to be kind, not thinking about how his actions could be interpreted. He noticed that they were attracting some stares from people around, for it was a muggle hotel and this was obvious to anyone. He took her hand and pulled her into the resturant where the food was quite expensive but good. Taking a seat, he pulled out her chair for her. "Sit down and eat something, you look slightly pale." He said, wondering if her nerves had got the better of her.
