GIVEN NAMES
'Larissa Mortion Sedgwick'
She was given the name 'Larissa' after her mother, Larissa Senior. It was supposed to be seen as some sort of self-honouring on her mother's behalf, though Larissa has never felt it was a good thing to her self-esteem and did more harm than good.
'Mortion' was was a name given to her by her father. Godric had once known a witch named as such, who had been very wise but a little unusual in her behaviour and dress sense. Having been so fond of the girl, he had decided to name his daughter after her, but Larissa Senior would not allow it and forced him to agree to the name being a middle one.
The 'Sedgwick' name comes from Larissa's mother's side. When it came to marriage between Godric and Larissa Senior, Larissa was always going to be in charge. Godric was happy to step aside to keep his bride-to-be content, and it was her choice, as she had no male siblings, to keep the family name going of her own accord.
DATE OF BIRTH
Larissa Sedgwick was born on the fifth of August, 2009.
She has never been overly fond of her birthday being dead in the middle of summer as it made it difficult to get friends over to celebrate as most of them were taking their summer holidays away. As she grew a little older, her parents would take her to Spain or France for a couple of weeks in August. Which Larissa partially enjoyed because she had the piece to write, but at the same time loathed because she was lonely.
DATE OF DEATH
At present, Larissa's date of death is unknown.
HOMETOWN
Larissa lived in the South-West of England for the first year of her life until the family migrated to New Zealand in 2010. They then proceeded to set up home in Mt. Lyford Village for the next few years. It was only after their passing that Larissa moved away to the German manor of her (at the time) lover, Markus Schwarz.
When the relationship fell down a slippery slope, Larissa ended up agreeing to marry Andrew Spinnett, and the pair moved into their own house in an undisclosed area of Germany.
BLOOD STATUS
Larissa is of mixed blood status as she is also a part-veela.
Her veela heritage comes down her mother's side and Larissa is technically one quarter veela. She has always used this extra boost to her advantage, adding to her naturally beautiful and manipulative nature. She was teased for some time by jealous female students during her time at Hogwarts New Zealand, but she made up for it by running off with their boyfriends and destroying their relationships.
WAND INFORMATION
Larissa's wand is carved from the purest cherry wood. It measures at twelve and a half inches in length and is very pleasant to grip and use. Its core uses the essence of rose wood, and it is springy in flexibility.
This was Larissa's very first wand she ever bought. Purchased in 2021, it has lasted her from the weeks leading up to her first days at Hogwarts New Zealand, up until her present life as a fully fledged adult witch. She has grown quite a stong bond with it.
EDUCATED AT
Larissa's first school she attended was a muggle infant one for ages four to six-stroke-seven. She then changed to a primary school for children aged between seven and eleven, which she attended up until July of 2021.
In September of 2021 Larissa began her attendance at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in New Zealand. She was sorted into Slytherin house, much to the displeasure of her mother and elder brother.
In her fifth year at Hogwarts only a few months after being made a Slytherin prefect, Larissa transferred to Durmstrang Institute to study, as it was the simple answer to the problem of moving out with Markus to his German home.
OCCUPATION
Larissa worked as a shop assistant in Hogsmeade from her fourth year. She remained in this position until she transferred schools to Durmstrang, where she began working at the local village, there, in the sorting room of a wizarding post office. She only stopped working here part-time when she left school and found a job as a barmaid in a tavern not too far from the family home. Larissa remained working at this position until she fell pregnant with her second child, taking time away while still putting in applications for better jobs.
In 2032, Larissa achieved the place of Ancient Runes Professor at Durmstrang, where she remained until 2036, when she was offered a preferable position, a private wizarding tutor, in New Zealand, which offered better hours for family life, and higher pay.
HAIR COLOUR & STYLE
Larissa's hair is naturally straight in style, and lays long and flat against her back when left loose. She spends a lot of time simply brushing her platinum blonde hair or fixing it up into a neat and firm ponytail.
Her beautiful natural hair colour was inherited from her mother, and is due mostly down to her veela heritage.
Larissa has occassionally dyed or streaked her hair. During her school years she would streak it with reds, greens, or blacks. While she would not permenantly transfigure her hair into one set colour, Larissa has often considered dying it black to try and escape her past identity and offer her family some comfort.
EYE COLOUR
Her eyes are a fantastic sparkling blue. Again, this is most likely down to her veela heritage.
When her mood deeps to something more neutral, this powerful blue colour is traded in for a slightly less colourful silver-grey. However, once her emotions return to their strongest, her eyes return to this majestic blue once more.
HEIGHT IN FEET
Larissa is five feet and eleven inches in height. She is taller than her mother was at her peak. Her height comes mostly from her father's side as his is a family of larger, more testosterone fuelled wizards. She has one uncle who is six feet and six inches in height. Her brother was also a fair height, though still in the process of growing to reach his dad's six feet, four inches.
CLOTHING STYLE
Larissa's dress sense during her childhood and teenage years had always been a little bith gothic and grunge. This dark, new romantic style of fashion sense continued on until her early adulthood when she changed into more mature, motherly clothing.
She can frequently be seen in long grey cardigans and effeminate clothing, especially around the house.
During formal occassions, Larissa still chooses to wear a long dress and high heels to emphasise her long smooth legs.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
Larissa has always had a faint scar next to her right eye for as long as she can remember. It goes mostly unnoticed by friends and people she meets in day-to-day life, but it serves as a reminder of her childhood and how her life could be changed so drammatically by one event.
AMORENTIA
Larissa loves scent of leather because it reminds her of the men who looked out for her along the way, as they were all very powerful, leather-wearing wizards.
Musky tinsel is another odour Larissa enjoys because of its connotations with Christmas, and while the festive season was never great for Larissa, she does have a few fond memories of her time at Hogwarts.
Fresh parchment is one that Larissa has always loved. She strongly associates it with knowledge and her lessons at Hogwarts and Durmstrang. Even though her school years were so disruptive, they felt somewhat safer than the real world.
BOGGART
Larissa used to fear failure above all else. However, she now fears for the safety of her daughter, Lily, and those she holds dear to her heart. She knows that through her own actions she has endangered all whom she loves, and spends each day desperately trying to cover up and erase her mistakes from history.
MIRROR OF ERISED
Larissa used to want to be a Slytherin prefect at Hogwarts- a dream which she successfully achieved. However, her dreams have since floated in another direction and should she ever gaze upon her reflection in the Mirror of Erised, she would now see the man she loves holding their son and Lily joining them as a happy family. This is something that Larissa knows will never happen, however much she wants it to.
HOPES
In her heart of hearts Larissa would like to make a safe, happy home for her little girl to grow up in. Failing this, she hopes to find a way to keep on protecting her from the demons at the door. She hopes that Lily will grow up the right way and that her upbringing wont destroy her soul.
While Larissa is an avid support of the dark arts, she does realise her mistakes along the way and hopes that Lily grows up to be different and more accepting. However, she cannot openly try to re-educate her child as this would put her entire family at risk from the darker forces.
She hopes to find a job that will provide for her family and allow her to keep an eye out for what is going on with the wizarding world and all its occupants.
FEARS
Larissa gravely fears that she has destroyed her daughter before giving her the chance to live and decide upon her own life choices. She's concerned that her daughter will grow up to be just like her and even fears the small details such as her choices of who to form a relationship with along the way.
Larissa worries that her secret will be uncovered, and that it will be discovered as to who her correspondant is and why she is being so secretive about his identity. She hopes that Lily will never have to find out the truth about who her godfather is, as she she hopes such circumstances under which Lily would be passed into his care, never arrise.
LIKES
In her spare time, Larissa likes to knit blankets and clothing for Lily. She also works on making small cuddly toys for her daughter to play with.
Larissa has an interest in Quidditch, and still misses playing it. She likes to read about matches that have ocurred locally and internationally. Her favourite team is the Heidelberg Harriers, though she used to favour the Moutohora Macaws when she lived back with her mother in New Zealand.
She enjoys writing as both a hobby and its usage in everyday life. She frequently sends owls to friends and relatives to inform them as to how the family are doing and to find out what is going on in other parts of the world.
DISLIKES
Larissa has never been overly fond of the colour pink, and prefers greens, silvers, or blacks. She tends to wear light blues, however, as they complement her eyes and hair.
She dislikes celebrating her own birthday as she finds it a difficult thing to face, and sees it only as a celebration of having made it another year without dying. Her birthdays have never been too happy and she doesn't enjoy pretending to like them.
Muggles are among one of Larissa's dislikings. However, she did have a muggle friend who treated her well before her death. Larissa was bullied quite severely by muggle children for being a little bit strange and different, and she found it difficult to cope with other than to let her feelings get pent up and boil into a hatred for muggle-kind.
PERSONALITY
Larissa is a highly flirtatious individual and always has been. Though straight Larissa has no qualms about flirting with anyone regardless of gender, blood status or the relationship they have. She is the type of person who would happily flirt with her enemies just to get under their skin. Naturally, though, Larissa favours flirting with the older man and those who are practiced in dark magic. She does use her veela blood to aid in her manipulation of the male of the species, and this generally works rather successfully.
In her behaviour, Larissa can be quite outrageous. She would see no social barriers in walking up to a stranger and snogging them in front of their girlfriend. But this behaviour no longer extends to quite the same lengths as it once did during her teenage years, and she appears to have gained some small respect for the sanctity of marriage and serious relationships.
This does not mean she would be untempted by certain opportunities, but means that she would take greater precautions to keep such temptations hidden from public viewing.
Larissa is, and has always been, strong willed. She will not let anything slow her down in life and will do what it takes to claim the reward she wants. She is the sort to serve revenge stone cold and when it is least expected. Although her age has matured her and made this behaviour more meassured. She is careful to do things more discreetly and manipulatively, taking the time to find a scape-goat for her sins.
