Personality

Muggle Lover
Landon is obsessed with muggles, and has been since a young age. This is partly due to the fact that it feels like rebelling as he is from a pureblood family who descend from Death Eaters, and other muggle haters. However, this behaviour is also due, in part, to curiosity, and to Lucinda Buckley, a muggle-born girl whom he met at Hogwarts.

Chivalrous Knight
Landon is polite, friendly, brave and kind even if others aren't to him. This is because Landon was raised this way. He is polite even to those who swear at him and bully him because in the end he knows he'll be the better person. He will offer his help where possible.

Brave Lion
Landon is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in, even if he puts himself at risk, doing so. Should he witness someone bullying, attacking, or harming in either a mental or physical way, a muggle/muggle-born (for being a muggle/muggle-born), Landon is the sort to fight on the victim's behalf. He is also the type not to drop to his knees should he succumb to grief. When his friend, Jareth, was killed in the Forbidden Forest, Landon became rather level-headed, and focussed on the needs of others.

Socially Confused
Bright though he may be in his ability to retain vital academic information, Landon is hopeless when it comes talking to people on a more human level until he has gotten to know them. He flails particularly hard when it comes to talking to girls, especially those he likes, when he develops a heavy stutter, blushes profusely, and falls over/walks into anything in sight.

Trustworthy
Landon can keep a secret. In fact, he has kept many secrets, and has, very much, a 'death before betrayal' attitude. He is the ideal person to partake in the Fidelius Charm as the 'secret keeper'. Because of this, he was also make a decent Auror, a profession which Landon has often considered, but never wholly looked into.

Lucinda Buckley
(2023 - 2026)

Landon met Lucinda by the lake in his very first year at Hogwarts. The initial thing to conjure up such a friendship between the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, was blood status. Landon openly stated how he had hoped to meet more muggle-borns upon attending Hogwarts. It was then Lucinda revealed to him that she was a muggle-born, and the friendship began. They grew close, fast, building a strong and reliable friendship. The two of them would often go seeking adventure, mischief, and the general thrill of running from danger. Landon began to realise that, as a fast-growing young man, he had come to develop feelings for Lucinda. In 2023, the Yule Ball fast approaching, Landon asked Lucinda to go with him. It was the night Landon experienced his first kiss, and the couple first got together.

Landon even wrote a few terrible poems about Lucinda, upon his initial realisation of his feelings, and his confusion as to what he should do. The following is one of these poems.

"I do not care about her blood,
as people think it's dirty,
my heart does not beat for her veins,
it beats for her beauty,
her intelligence and her wit,
her potential in every way.
And deep down in my heart
I just know that if I keep on trying
then she will be mine.
Some day."

Artemis Blackmoore-Yearling
(2027 - 2028)

Artemis and Landon first met when Landon was in his first year, and Artemis, her second. He was a Gryffindor, and she was a Ravenclaw, but the pair did not let that get in the way of their newfound friendship, which only blossomed further as time went on. The two had remained platonic until Landon's fifth year, when he had heard a rumour that Lucinda had broken up with him. Believing the rumour, he sought comfort in Artemis, who had tragically lost her boyfriend to a centaur's arrow a few years previous. The two of them quickly began to grow closer, but in what seemed to be a different way. Landon finally asked Artemis to be his girlfriend, and she accepted. The initial spark eventually began to die out, and the two decided that rather than remain romantically involved, they would return to their original, 'dangerously' close, platonic relationship.

Lucinda Buckley
(2029 - Present)

In their seventh year at Hogwarts, Landon and Lucy began to rediscover the spark they had once had, and had never truly lost. They spent the year continuing their search for the Room of Requirement, and it was only thanks to Landon's late night patrols as Head Boy, and Lucy's idea that the room was still on one of the upper floors, that Landon managed to discover the room, one evening. It was here that, come the end of the school year, Landon would lead Lucy to, and would propose to her. She accepted his marriage proposal.

History

Landon Acidious Dalton was born in England to Zakoria and Olivia Dalton. He grew up in a wizarding family, though his mother was somewhat outstanding in her muggle knowledge, and managed to keep the family incognito. When Landon was eight, the family upped and moved to New Zealand, deciding it would be a good fresh start for the lot of them. (Landon did not know of the painful memories England held for his mother and father, relating to his elder brother he knew nothing of) They settled into this new lifestyle. Landon had always been home educated, and his parents continued this on until Landon's attendance at Hogwarts, began.

It was during his time at Hogwarts that Landon would find the greatest highs and lows of his life: He was sorted into Gryffindor, a house which both his parents had made back at Hogwarts in Scotland. However, he seemed to bond closest to Ravenclaws, including Lucinda Buckley and Artemis Blackmoore-Yearling, both of whom he would date in later years. The first time he attended the Yule Ball, he went with Lucy, and it was there that the two became a couple. The three of them grew to be close friends, with the addition of Artemis' part-goblin boyfriend, Jareth. Midway through Landon's wizarding educations, he, Artemis, and Lucinda, all witnessed the tragic death of Jareth during a trip to the Forbidden Forest. Despite his adventurous behaviour (which resulted in the occasional rule breaking), Landon was awarded the honour of being a Gryffindor prefect in his fifth year. In his seventh year, he became Head Boy, something he did not take lightly. He finished at Hogwarts in 2029, armed with the accepted marriage proposal he had made to Lucinda Buckley.

After Hogwarts, Landon found his ambitions had changed, and no longer did he so strongly desire to play Quidditch professionally, or even go into the Ministry. It was his decision to open his own bookshop (inspired by Lucinda's occupation as a budding author), and he did so, naming it 'Black Books'. He gained residence of the adjoining property, and runs the place at his own leisure.
