Rhys made his way down the from castle to the lake front, a bag slung over his shoulder, and a skip in his step. It was the day after the incident with the Ravenclaw boy, and Rhys had only just managed to calm himself down from it. Inside, he was still furious at the boy. But he was trying his best now to dwell on it, as Francis had told him to. He smiled at he thought of the girl. She had made quite the lasting impression on Rhys, and as he now made his way towards to lake, he scouted ahead to make sure that she hadn't beaten him there. It was finally the weekend, which meant no classes and everyone could enjoy themselves. Rhys had thought up a plan to say a thankyou to Francis for defending him again the Ravenclaw boy, and even though they had planned on going to the lake yesterday, he though that today had worked out better. Reaching the lake, he walked along the outskirts for a bit until he found a spot he liked, and plopped his bag down. It wasn't a particularly sunny day, but it wasn't cold or miserable either. It was the kind of weather to wear proper clothing, which was why Rhys had his jeans and a jacket on, but it wasn't too cold that you couldnt be outside and enjoy the weather.
Unzipping his bag, he withdrew the picnic blanket that he had brought from home when he had arrived at Hogwarts, and spread it out over the grass. Rhys had been quite busy this morning, and that was evident as he reached into his bag and withdrew a bottle of pumpkin juice, and two cups. He also pulled out two sandwiches, some chicken wrapped in foil, and some cookies. He had been busy raiding the school kitchens all morning as it seemed. He left the last surprise in his bag for the moment. Setting it all out, he knew that Franny would be here any second. He thought that today was indeed a lovely day for a picnic and company. "You've outdone yourself this time." he said to himself as he admired his own handiwork.
