Hello HNZ(ers),

I am an old timer here who has popped in and out of here to deliver some stellar stories over the years. I am coming back slowly and so as I work on developing a more sound character this time around I am hoping to get a little support from you, fabulous individuals. I am only sticking to the one character for now as my muse for any of my previous characters is, at this time, nonexistent. So with that in mind let me introduce you to the man of the hour.

Leo Stanton(played by Cody Christian for those who love his adorable face) is a twenty-four-year-old Unspeakable with the Ministry of Magic, New Zealand. He is a Hogwarts, Scotland alumni who relocated to the area for his career. He is still living out of boxes in his newly bought house and as such he is currently a bit all over the place. He tends to be rather bright and happy most days, but given the nature of his job, this can and has changed from time to time. Being new in the area he does not currently have much of a social life as that would entail him having actual friends to go out with which he is looking to change. As a friend he tends to be rather loyal to the people in his circle of friends, someone who can be honest and sympathetic to others. Furthermore, he is a solid listener even if at times he does not give off that impression. For the role of friend, all that is required is that the person is respectful, courteous, and all around decent individual. He does spend some time at a local gym, can be found wondering about the ministry( half of the time due to being lost), or can be sound in the shopping districts of either the harbor or the village. As per the age, so long as the person he is hanging around is mature. He has no problem with people a little younger or older as friends nor is he gender biased with these friends.

Dating is something that I am open to with Leo, who is for now, open about his sexuality. I do not like to write myself into a corner and as the character does not scream a solid preference I am okay with roleplaying with individuals of any sexual orientation. Now this could change down the road, depending on what would be his current relationship at the time if things get a bit more serious and the situation calls for a clear definition in this regard. Leo does not fall into any one gender role and has moments of masculinity as well as femininity nor does he see himself as "guy" or "girl" of any relationship. Leo does not have a final mapped out or in place as things can change both in character as well as out. So it all depends on the chemistry that can be created with him and others that will determine how his future will go. With that in mind, he is currently in casual dating mode, which means he can and will likely play the field a little bit and try out different options. He will never be "intimate" with anyone until he is in a monogamous relationship so he is not pulling the whole one night stand card.He does not believe in rushing into a relationship nor does he need to be in one to be happy so he likes to take his time in matters of the heart. Once in a relationship, he is romantic at heart and will go to great lengths to make his partner happy. He can be playful, adventurous, and attentive but on the flip side he can be prone to small fits of jealousy, he can have his feelings hurt, and can have moments of doubt. He is also committed to all relationships one he enters into them so he is not prone to cheating though he does struggle like any person would, with a cheating partner. He does entertain the idea of kids from time to time so single parents are welcome though he is not exactly looking to become "Daddy" anytime soon. He does love cats and dogs so pet children are always something I am down for.

Enemies are few and far between as Leo in his personal life is not the sort of individual to really pick fights or one that finds himself in the company fo trouble. Though from a political standpoint, he is part of the Ministry and as such he could be thrown into situations in which he sides with the government. This would put him into conflict with anyone who breaks the laws, especially the magical or moral ones, or with anyone who is looking to create chaos and disorder. I know that there are villainous factions and characters on the site and so I am not at all against plotting with individuals to create a dynamic story. He is an unspeakable so he does have secrets that are not meant for the public to know or be aware of as a whole. So long as it is within site limits and rating system, he can beat up, kidnapped, and appropriately tortured. I ask that he remains living and is not hurt beyond healing as it would make things rather difficult for me as a whole.

Leo is part of a family unit but those members have not been fleshed out yet so with that in mind I am open to him being a part of an established family or being a distant or close family member with those who might want to take that route. Though we would need to discuss this is greater detail if it is something that both parties are interested in.


With that said I think that I covered a good chunk about Leo, there is a partial bio that I am working on at the moment. Feel free to look at what I have to get a feel of who Leo is at the moment. If you have any questions what so ever, please ask. I do not bite and I am really trying to be flexible with Leo to make it easier for both you all and myself in terms of writing and ideas. I do work a full-time job so I may not get to post in rapid fire manner but I am pretty good about posting regularly at the moment. I am really excited to write with you all and look forward from hearing back from someone (anyone) soon!

Hey Brandon,

While I have a lot of different characters I could offer. I'm newly back, as of today, so I'm going to limit the amount I try to put on myself for now.

So Georgiana Night: I haven't done a proper plot with her for a long time. But in my mind she has been focused on her Quidditch and taking the Stormwall Stormers fans by storm, pun intended. She's a really sweet girl, she grew up without a mother and began at a young age filling in and helping her father around the house. She comes from Native American background but she went to Hogwarts New Zealand and was a Gryffindor prefect. Her twin brother and her have been on the same team for seven years. But as time moves on she's been aching for something more. (I've asked for her to be changed over to the Moutohora Macaws Coach, the team centered out of New Zealand.) If she gets the gig then she'll be around New Zealand a lot. And have amazing seats for Professional games if Leo likes Quidditch. Her only love was Logan Stone, she met him first year, and he was a few years older. He ended up transferring out and they broke up. But that was a long time ago, so the possibility for love is something I'd be open to. Right now she's in the Family box, mostly cause I hadn't been certain I'd do much more with her, though she is my main. But, since it's been such a long time since I've had any threads with her, she's kind of an open possibility for anything.

Hi Brandon,

I've got a couple of people to offer you.

Jeremy Thorne is a healer and very into taking care of his body, so he also spends a fair amount of time in the gym. About a year ago, he ended a relationship with a guy who he had a very different idea regarding his morals/values and it made Jeremy realize a lot about himself and what he wants. He is a bit of a workaholic, so I'm always interested in getting him out of the office. I could see him being friends with Leo, possibly something more if it worked out that way.

Maximilian Faber is a junior reporter with the Daily Prophet in Germany, though he does come to do special assignments in New Zealand every now and then. Photography is his passion. I haven't figured out his sexuality, though I don't think he cares much to label himself. I forget his age, early 20s I think. He has a parent imprisoned in Azkaban and another dead, both Scitorari members. He has interesting beliefs, thinking that the Scitorari are right about a lot, though he isn't a member himself. I could see them maybe having a drunken debate?

Scit folk: I think we've found our volunteer if we go with what's been said in the area.

Gigi, a nickname that Leo would likely give Georgiana, seems like a rather spunky kind of character. Beyond that, a female Quidditch Player is something that deserves a round of applause in its rights as it can be a pretty rough sport. As such I can see the two of them getting along quite well with each other. I can picture Leo being a bit of an extrovert and so to be able to go to a Quidditch game with a friend sounds like a pretty reasonable thing to him. I will not say he follows the sport as closely as some, but he does know a few teams and few player names. Leo has played a game or two but dislikes brooms as a whole so I can not say he will be interested in playing a game or match even if begged. Being a Slytherin alumni, I can see him teasing the woman from time to time about here poor house placement though he did go to Scotland rather than New Zealand's branch of Hogwarts. He did not fall into the rivalry house thing in school though he does have some house pride especially for school events and such. I do see her being a better friend than a lover but who knows what can happen, because I do not! (Seriously, No clue. Like ever.)

Jer sounds like a two in one special, a healer and a fellow gym bunny(much nicer sounding than a rat). Not only can Leo be a bit accident prone, but he is also a healer's worst nightmare at times, there is some shared interest there in personal health and wellness. I can see the two bumping into each other at the gym, maybe grabbing a smoothie or a healthy lunch together sometime. Not only that but someone who is also a workaholic would make the perfect company as there would be an appreciation for the random adventure and overall break from the stress of it all. Jer seems rather grounded but capable of fun and as such I can see the two of them hitting it off pretty easily.

Max sounds as though he would have that whirlwind lifestyle that would take him all over the world and to new and exciting places. He would need to be in the know on current events and would have to have an artistry with words to be a reporter. Being connected with the Scitorari though not a part of it could lead to some very fascinating conversation as Leo could likely see both sides to an argument. (As far as I am aware there are varied branches within the group, each beholden to their beliefs and preference when it comes to magic?). Leo would be very interested in photography and would not be going to an art gallery or show to add a little culture to his life. I can see Max being that friend that blows into town and challenges everything that Leo is feeling or thinking in a crazy weekend and then vanishing again when Monday rolls around living Leo feeling different about life, in that good kind of way. I hope that makes sense. It is that friend that you love to see but would hate to have around all the time as your kidneys might not approve, and that could be next to you in the unemployment line after you both lose your jobs.

Gigi would probably be something that might not fly at first, but as they become friends she'll adjust to the nickname. She understands the not flying thing. If it was for everybody, then the sport might not be the funnest thing around for Quidditch players like her. She's a really proud Gryffindor and completely ready to defend her house to anyone, even if it's a friend. Probably a friendly debate could ensue between them about which house is the better. And given that she's never given love another chance in her life, I don't really know where she is headed down that road. So we can always see how it goes as they become friends!

How about in the main entrance of the Ministry? It's where he works and where she'd need to go to apply for the new job. She'd be a little lost not used to the set up of this ministry, more used to the American magic government.

I think Max could have the potential to be that guy if he wasn't so serious. Maybe being friends with Leo could push him to open up more. He grew up in an area where people knew what had happened with his parents, so it closed him off to people.

I agree with what you've written between Leo and Jeremy.

I'm not going to lie. I won't be able to commit to doing an RP with both guys at once. Do you have a preference to which one we RP first?

I think it would be probably better to try these two out together first to see how things go. I am still hammering out some of Leo's little ticks and mannerisms, so I think I would rather work those out with someone like Jeremy rather than Max. Also, I see Leo having more in common with Jeremy than Max so that will make conversation a little easier. I have been lurking things in my spare time to catch up on the "political" vibe here these days. So before we get Leo drunk and in debate mode it would be better if I come at it from a more informed point of view.

--As for starters. I am open to starting the first one. We could have it set in one of three places if I start as I am playing with a few ideas. The first would be the ministry where Leo works. Maybe he runs into Jeremy in the elevator, or maybe an accident causes Jeremy to be called in, and the two meet sort during a crisis mode. This would likely end up in a slightly short thread as it is a work environment. Blah.

-- The second could be at a gym somewhere in New Zealand. I have not decided if Leo is going to live in the harbor or the village so the where could be in either of those places. They can meet while working out or maybe at towards the end of work. Maybe they are both running on a treadmill, or they are doing free weights? I am not sure how familiar with gym stuff you are for a point of reference so we can play that part by ear. After gabbing a little, they could have a day (for a lack of a better word) date of sorts. Maybe over coffee or a smoothie. This could be a bit longer than the other as it is more casual and there is no urgent need that could call them away.

-- The last idea I was thinking, was that they could meet at St. Mungos. Leo could come in with a minor injury and Jeremey could bandage it up. I am not sure what Jeremy's speciality is, but I can work that in there somehow. The two get along well, and it could lead to a night "date". This would be maybe dinner somewhere nice and casual. A thank you perhaps?

Sorry it has taken me forever to reply.

Out of the three options, the one I like least is option 3 simply because that's how Jeremy met his last boyfriend and that didn't turn out well. If you're keen on that one though, maybe they can meet after he's been treated and on his way out? He works in the emergency room at St. Mungos.

The gym could definitely work. Jeremy enjoys exercise, so they could definitely meet after their workout or outside running somewhere?
