Amy hadn't yet been up to the North Tower and so, as she had no lessons, decided to take herself up there. It was a long climb up but she was happy when she got up there. It was seemingly empty and she stood by the window, just gazing out at the grounds.
 
Grande was walking down from Astronomy, he had just handed in his homework and was now randomly walking round hogwarts. As he found himself in the North Tower he saw Amy standing by the window. He walked over to her. "Hey Amy, nice view isn't it?" Grande said as he stood beside her looking out onto the lake.
 
Amys thoughts dispersed as she looked round to see Grande had joined her at the window. "Hey Grande" she said smiling. "Yeah it really is lovely up here! I'd never been up here until today" she said looking out over the grounds. "How are you then?" she said, still looking out the window.
 
"Its a good place to come." Grande said "I'm good, how are you?"
 
"I'm okay thanks" Amy said smiling slightly. "You had a good day then?" she asked, removing her gaze from the grounds to look at Grande. Her dad had always taught her that it was polite to make eye contact with someone when speaking to them.
 
"I had an okay day." Grande said smiling and looking at Amy. "How about you, Had a good day? Did you have any classes?"
 
"Oh good get up to much?" she asked before answering his questions. "Nope no classes today actually, its been nice, quite relaxing" she said shrugging.
 
"I had an Astronomy class, then I did the homework." Grande said. "I like when I have no classes. You do feel so relaxed."
 
"Do you like Astronomy?" she asked. She hadn't ever studyed the subject before and was interested to hear more about it. "Yeah it really is nice and relaxing" she said, taking her gaze out of the window again to the grounds outside.
 
"I do like it. It is very interesting but I do feel that you have to like Astronomy a bit to enjoy the subject. " Grande said "Do you like it?"
 
"Well I've never studyed it before or anything but I guess it will be really interesting to learn about it" she said, gazing up at the sky.
 
"What in Astronomy interests you the most?" Grande asked
 
"Hmm" Amy paused for thought for a moment. "Blane was showing me the North star the other night and how to look for it, that really interested me" she said turning to look back at Grande.
 
"Thats cool. The norths star is a cool star to find. Whos Blane?" Grande asked "I don't think I've met him before."
 
"He's a first year Hufflepuff, you might have heard of him from, erm Andy" she replied, hoping that Grande did indeed know about Andy and Blane and what had happened.
 
"Yeah I have heard of him." Grande said nodding. "You got any plans for the weekend?"
 
"Not really, probably just wander round the grounds, like normal!" she said smiling. "What about yourself?" she asked.
 
"Same, though I think I might do some homework and catch up on some sleep." Grande said smiling.
 
"You can never have enough sleep, or so it seems" Amy replied smiling. "Do you come up here often?" she asked, completely changing the direction of the conversation. She paused, then added "sorry that was really random".
 
"I don't come here often actually but it is a nice place to come." Grande said "What kind of music are you into?"
 
"It really is lovely" Amy agreed, again looking out the window. "Oh music..I like a whole variety of it!" she admitted, "What about you then?" she asked.
 
"A bit of everything. Theres really nothing that I really like." Grande said
 
"I know what you mean" Amy said smiling. "Its nice to have a bit of variation in life" she smiled, "or so my dad says" she added with a small laugh.
 
Grande smiled "My dads not like that. He likes opera and classical stuff." Grande said "I'm not to keen on that type of music."
 
"So what type of music do you like then?" Amy asked with a small grin.
