Jay walked through the woods. It was about 2am and Shaylah would either be in bed asleep or worrying where he was. Looking up he saw the light from the full moon trying to get through the leaves of the trees around him.
He could hear his feet as they landed on dead leaves and the trees in the wind. He also heard something else. Deep, heavy breathing. It sounded close. Jay looked around him. Nothing. There has to be someone or something there. Then Jay thought he was probably just imagining it. Then he heard it again. It wasn't his imagination. It was definitely there.
He gripped hold of his wand which he had put in his trousers earlier that night. When he still saw nothing, he just thought You're just being a wimp Jay. He turned around and started walking again trying to ignore the sound which had distracted him so much.
